According to Qian Zongguan there were five seventh class cultivators in the entire Nanshan base. This meant that the person standing in front of the base entrance was one of the leaders of the base.

They didn’t expect to see one of these people here.

One of the leaders of the base had personally come out to guard the entrance to the base. It was clear to see that Nanshan base had placed the utmost importance in reducing the impact of the apocalypse rain on the base.

The crowd of people looked like they had lived here before. Some of them clearly knew who the leaders of the base were, and when the seventh class cultivator spoke, no one dared to speak a word. Even though there were some cultivators in the crowd, none of them dared to speak either.

It wasn’t until today that Lin Feng had seen people react to the imposing air of a seventh class cultivator. Lin Feng had faced seventh class cultivators before, but only as another cultivator. When Lin Feng had run into Feng Shi, he knew that Feng Shi was a seventh class cultivator and had chosen to fight him. But to normal people, seventh class cultivators were similar to myths and legends.

“Dii!”

Lin Feng heard his apocalypse watch chime.

“Sect master, should we continue to try to leave the base.”

The notice on the watch was a message from Qian Zongguan asking what Lin Feng wanted to do.

Lin Feng furrowed his brows, since the person that was blocking their way was a seventh class cultivator. He had the support of many Qing sect disciples, but the most powerful disciples he had with him were only sixth class in cultivation.

The other cultivators that were below sixth class weren’t worth mentioning in front of a seventh class cultivator. They couldn’t even be counted in the total fighting strength if they wanted to break through the gate.

Even if Lin Feng was considered a sixth class cultivator in strength and cooperated with the two sixth class cultivators, they still might not be a match for the seventh class cultivator standing in front of the gate. Lin Feng didn’t expect that after the zombie that he would still run into a giant problem on his way out of the base.

If Lin Feng hadn’t seen the fifth class zombie, he would be comfortable waiting in the base until the clean up crew had taken care of it. But seeing the fifth class zombie killing all the cultivators completely removed any desire to remain in the base any longer than necessary.

The others may not understand, but Lin Feng knew how dangerous a fifth class zombie could really be. It wasn’t to look down on the power of the clean up crews, which had a combined effort of over a thousand cultivators. But the strongest member the clean up crew had were only sixth class cultivators, and up against fifth class zombies, Lin Feng didn’t know how long they could last.

The distance to the fifth class zombie from the gate wasn’t close, but no one knew just what direction it would head to after killing all the cultivators. The longer they wasted time here, the more dangerous it would get. The sooner Lin Feng could leave, the safer they would be.

“Do you have the ability to allow us to leave?”

Lin Feng wouldn’t hold the upper hand if a fight where to start.

Even if they could only see that seventh class cultivator, Lin Feng couldn’t assume that it was only the seventh class cultivator that they were up against. Even if Lin Feng fought with Ma Dong and Ma Nan against the seventh class cultivator, they would be able to assure victory. And if any other cultivators came to help the seventh class cultivator, the danger would increase exponentially.

If there were no other options, Lin Feng would risk everything in one go and hold nothing back, even if his opponent was a seventh class cultivator. Even if the enemy wasn’t as strong as a seventh class cultivator, if they blocked Lin Feng’s path, they would be considered his enemy. And regarding his enemies, Lin Feng wouldn’t show any mercy to them as they wouldn’t show any to him.

“Rest assured sect master, since you have decided to leave, just leave everything else to me.”

Qian Zongguan spoke with a confident tone. Even when facing a seventh class cultivator, he seemed to be indifferent.

What kind of method could Qian Zongguan possibly have for him to disregard a seventh class cultivator? The confident tone of voice made Lin Feng ask this question to himself.

In the next moment, Lin Feng watched as a door to the car ahead of him opened up. But it wasn’t Qian Zongguan that came out, but the sixth class cultivator Ma Dong.

The crowd in front of the gate was still, making the sound of the car door opening very noticeable. Everyone in the crowd turned towards Lin Feng searching for the source of the sound.

Ma Dong was quite thin and short, with a plain appearance, a face that you wouldn’t remember even if you passed right by him in a crowd. No one in the crowd recognized him, and gave him doubtful looks as to what he was going to do.

“We need to leave, please open the gate.”

Ma Dong stood in front of his car and looked toward the seventh class cultivator and spoke.

“Hiss…...”

The entire crowd sucked in a breath of air.

They didn’t expect this unassuming figure to defy the seventh class cultivator in front of the gate.

“The person is probably insane, facing a seventh class cultivator, he actually told the cultivator to open the gate, he definitely has a problem with his head, ah.”

Hearing the words spoken by Ma Dong, the crowd started to speak in whispers.

“That man is one of the leaders of the base, this crazy person, he actually dared to defy the base leader.”

“Yeah, this guy is definitely dead meat.”

The crowd started to gossip when they heard Ma Dong’s words. The one he defied was one of their base leaders. One of the legendary seventh class cultivators.

In their opinions, Ma Dong definitely had mental issues, or he was purposefully courting death with his words.

The seventh class cultivator was still lost in the enjoyment of seeing the crowd still because of a few of his words. Now that someone had stood up against him, anger started to well up inside him. Since the dawn of the apocalypse, no one had dared speak against him.

“Who are you, daring to ask me to open the gate when I just said that the gate shall remain closed. You are quite bold to go against the decision of the base.”

Although he was furious, seeing the crowd in front of him, the seventh class cultivator suppressed the anger to act noble but instead wore a horrible expression. If Ma Dong didn’t give him a perfect explanation, the cultivator would probably tear him to pieces.

Ma Dong didn’t say a thing, but instead pulled out a medal from the front of his clothes, one that was about the width of a cup.

The seventh class cultivator was unsure of Ma Dong’s actions, and full of doubt he pulled out a little scope to look more closely at him.

“So you were actually friends of the Qing sect, quickly come here and let me see you out, friends of the Qing sect.”

Seeing Ma Dong hold the medal in front of himself through the scope, the seventh class cultivator changed his facial expression many times before settling on a smile expression, politely speaking towards Ma Dong.
