Her eyes met Lucille's horrified expression. She smiled at the little girl and gave her an okay sign. She was relieved to see that despite her fear, she lifted her hand and gave her a thumbs up.

She gave a quick glance at Luke who also gave her a nod. She reached out her hand to Lucille and the little girl grabbed it. She was glad that the girl knew how to swim and hold her breath underwater!

She signaled the girl to keep her eyes on her. She doesn't want her to look at Soraya's bloody head and get petrified.

She quickly unfastened her harness, held the girl's chin up, and kicked her legs to push them to the water surface.

The girl gasped for air and held on to her neck tightly. "It's okay. We're fine. Daddy is coming to get you," she said, but when she swiped her eyes over the water, there was no speedboat in sight.

'Strange,' she thought, however, now was not the time to think about it.

Soraya and Luke were still under the inflatable tow tube, though Luke's face was already above water, he couldn't unfasten his harness due to panic, because the damn tube thingy thing was on top of him.

And Soraya was still bleeding, but thank God, conscious.

Lucille was like a jellyfish in her arms. Her small arms were tied around her neck, and her legs were wrapped around her waist. She was having a difficult time kicking to steady them above water for her ankle has this searing pain. The life vest they were wearing was a saving grace.

With Lucille shivering in her arms, she unconsciously starts humming the OST of the Howl's Moving Castle.

After a few minutes of Luke flapping around, he was finally out of his harness. Soraya, seeing that Lucille was safe in her hands, helped Luke, and the two of them were hanging on the inflatable tube while they waited for the speedboat and a jet ski fast approaching.

It was Noah who was on the jet ski that he commandeered from a teenager frolicking on the water with his friend.

Jin was on the speedboat and the hotel staff was notified and now doing their own thing, but he couldn't wait to reach Lucille and Jess.

His heart was beating wildly in his chest for the speedboat that was pulling Lucille and the others left them in the water after the tube thingy thing was toppled by the wave.

When Lucille and the others head out in the open water, Jin stood up to answer a call, while he opened another can of beer.

The weather and the ocean breeze called for a beer, though he wasn't supposed to drink alcohol. Thus, he just got himself a can of Budweiser Zero to go with the vibe. This weather was perfect for holding and sipping a cold can of beer.

He was still drinking his second can of Zero-Alcohol Beer when he noticed that the speedboat where Lucille and the other were at hadn't started pulling them. All it did was bring them farther away from the shore.

His instinct kicked in. He alerted Jin that just returned from his call to get a speedboat. However, the tube thingy thing started to pull Lucille and the others. He stood up near the water and cupped his hands over his eyes, squinted to check on what's happening on the tube thingy thing.

From the distance, he could see Lucille bouncing in the water and she looked like she was having a good time. But the bad feeling was still on his guts. Jin came back and informed him that all of the speedboats were out in the water. The hotel management was getting them one but it would take a few minutes.

His guts started to churn in anxiety. He called the attention of a teenager who was showing off his skill on the jet ski to his friends.

He was still trying to strike a deal on the kid when he saw the tube thingy thing where Lucille was on flipped over. He grabbed the kid off the jet ski and got on it and pushed it to its fastest capacity.

He only slowed down the jet ski when he saw Jess hugging Lucille in her arms, while Soraya and Luke were clinging on the tube thingy thing.

"Lucille, your daddy is here," she whispered to the girl who stopped shivering the moment she started humming the OST of Howl's Moving Castle in her ears.

She snapped her head when she heard her say that her daddy is here to get her.

"Is everyone okay?", he asked but his eyes were on Jess and Lucille. His heart started to beat properly when Jess gave him a smile and Lucille looked up at him, grinning.

"Yes, we are fine." He heard Soraya answer as he picked Lucille from Jess' arms.

"Jin is behind me." He put Lucille on his lap as he maneuvered the jet ski, "Are you okay?"

"Yes, all good," she gave Noah an assuring smile. She was comforted when his mouth, wearing a tight line, broke into a smile.

They held each other's gaze. No words were needed to let the other person know how the other felt. The approaching speedboat broke their heated gaze. Jess blushed when she caught Lucille's eyes staring intently at her.

"Boss, the ambulance is waiting."

The speedboat stopped near the toppled inflatable tube. Jin helped Soraya get on the boat, while the man manning the speedboat helped Luke.

She was a bit far from the speedboat, but she didn't wait for them to get to where she was. She swam to the speedboat without a word to Noah. Luke grabbed her from the water and pulled her into the boat.

"Are you okay?" His eyes were full of worry.

She nodded, biting her bottom lip. The throbbing pain from her ankle was killing her, but now is the time to whine. She pressed the cut in her right palm because she noticed that it's bleeding.

Jin handed her a blanket, but Luke was the one who took it. He sat next to her and covered her with it, as she leaned her head on his shoulder. The speedboat ride was quiet except for the engine rumbling.

Her eyes locked on Soraya and the other woman smiled and mouthed "Thank you." She gave Soraya a weak smile as the adrenaline left her body and now feeling sleepy.

When they reached the shore on the other side of the island, far from the guests of the hotel who were still enjoying the water activities the resorts offered. The ambulances were waiting for them, and a familiar man in a wheelchair.

"Briare," she murmured next to Luke's shoulder. Ellise already knew what had happened, her aunt would be informed, and her father would probably know as well.

Noah and Lucille were already inside the ambulance. A blanket was draped over her shoulder while she was enjoying a raspberry sorbet.

Jin helped Soraya as Luke helped her get off the boat to the waiting ambulance.

She saw Noah from her peripheral vision, tapping his secretary's shoulder before walking in their direction.

"Briare," she smiled at the old man on the wheelchair.

"Miss Jessica," he reached for her hand and kissed the inside of her palm. His eyes turned cold when he saw the cut on her pruney hands for being too long in the cold water.

He barked orders in a foreign language and in a blink of an eye, she and Luke were inside the ambulance being tended by the paramedics before even Noah reached them.

"Mister Tiefenbacher, I sincerely apologize for the ordeal little miss Lucille and her nanny had to go through. An investigation was already underway."

Noah grunted, shook the hand of the old man on the wheelchair, and wondered what his relationship with Jess.

"My own men would conduct their own investigation. I'm expecting cooperation on your end, Mister…"

"Briare. Just call me Briare, Mr. Tiefenbacher," he gripped Noah's hand exerting authority.

Noah's eyebrows twitched in annoyance over this man. He glanced over Jess who had two paramedics looking at her hand and her ankle --.

'Did she hurt her ankle?' He was about to step forward to approach Jess when Briare barked another series of orders, and the men around them moved in a synchronized manner, and before Noah realized what happened, the ambulance where Jess was whisked her and Luke away.

He furrowed his eyebrow, but before he could open his mouth, Briare informed him that Jess and Luke would be taken to the same hospital with his daughter.

He wanted to ask this man a question, but he knew that he wouldn't get any answer. He then nodded and returned to his daughter to head to the hospital to get medical attention to Soraya's head wound.

Soraya told him and the worried Jin that it wasn't serious, one of the ropes that were pulling the tube thingy hit her as it snapped. The paramedics confirmed what she said but Jin was still gritting his teeth with worry.
