He was wearing white pants, a Hawaiian shirt with green palm leaves print on it. He's wearing a Rayban that gives off a sexy vibe with his three o'clock shadow beard. He was scrolling his Twitter while waiting for Jess to come out of her room.
When Jess came out of her room pulling her suitcase, he blew a whistle. She was wearing a long skirt with a slit on the left thigh, high enough to glimpse of something dangerous. It was paired with a tube top showing off her toned abdominal muscles, her firm arms, and her collarbone - everything a supermodel desires.
She let her hair down in its natural wave. Her face was void of any makeup except for sunscreen and lip balm to keep her lips moisturized.
"Damn girl, you look hot!"
She put her left foot forward making the slit of her skirt open to reveal her shapely leg that could be a cause of many women's envy.
"Let's go, and break some boy's heart." She put on her black eyeglasses that covered half of her face.
"Wait, let's take a picture. I need to post something in the 'gram."
"Make sure to post it after a day or two. Don't post things in your account in real time."
"Sure, sugar. Ohh, look at this. We look so good together in any photo that I can't decide which photo I'm going to delete, and which I'm going to keep for later posting." He giggled as he chose from the more than ten photos he has taken of them.
"It's no wonder most of the girls at university that have a crush on you hate me—we look so good together, everyone assumes we are dating. I believe Noah did as well."
"Remember that time we were in that Mexican restaurant?" he laughed as he waited for Jess to finish locking her apartment. "Noah looked so pissed with Oliver and I. It was freaking hilarious."
"He was jealous at that time?" she creased her forehead trying to remember the time Luke was talking about. She didn't remember Noah acting jealous that time. What she remembered was Noah being indifferent. He has this can't be bothered expression on his face.
"Little Jessie, I'm telling you, sometimes you can be so dense."
After putting an extra password on her door, she was about to answer Luke when they heard a commotion coming from the other side of their floor - near Noah's apartment. She became curious as to what the noise was since she knew Noah's apartment was empty. He is in Berlin with his daughter.
She and Luke looked at each other. She shrugged her shoulder, "Well, we could take the long way to go to the elevator. That way we could find out what that noise was about."
They grinned at each other as they walked in the direction of Noah's apartment. When they turned at the corner they saw the familiar security personnel of their building talking to a woman in a white suit.
Even if the woman has her back turned on her, Jess recognized her as Noah's ex-wife. 'Why is she here? Didn't she know that Noah flew to Berlin with their daughter?'
"Do you know her?" Luke muttered under his breath as they watched the woman in a white suit being interrogated by the building security.
Luke crooked his eyebrow. "Damn, she looks hot. I mean, you are pretty and all Little Jessie, but hot damn, that girl can make me change religion."
"You are a very nice friend, Luke. Do you know that?" she sneered.
Luke just laughed at her sarcastic remark.
They were bantering on their way to the elevator when they heard her name being called.
"Hey, Jess!"
"Oh, no shit. Now, she knows my name is Jess. Before she called me Jass." she rolled her eyes as she stopped to turn around and face Noah's ex-wife.
"Don't touch me. I told you, I know Mr. Tiefenbacher." she swatted the hand of one of the security personnel like it was a fly. "She can prove that." She said pointing at her, as she held her chin high in the air.
"We are sorry to take your time, Miss Zimmerman." the older security personnel said, "We got an alarm that Miss Liu here, - was trying to break into Mr. Tiefenbacher's apartment."
The words the security officer used and the way Noah's ex-wife convulsed in anger made Jess pinched her leg to stop herself from laughing.
"I wasn't breaking in!"
"Ma'am, you entered a wrong passcode to Mr. Tiefenbacher's apartment and until we could personally talk to Mr. Tiefenbacher himself to confirm your claim, we can't let you stay. You have to go."
She gritted her teeth in shame. How would she know that Noah no longer uses the same passcode that he uses in all of his doors? He used to use the same number combination in any door he has in the past. Thus, she assumed that his apartment would have the same passcode - the month and year combination when they first met!
"She knew me." she looked at Jess once again. "Wouldn't be that enough for you to confirm that I am not an intruder?"
"Miss Zimmerman?"
She looked at the head of security, "I have seen her inside Mr. Tiefenbacher's apartment." was all she said. She doesn't want to get involved with her because with how she is treating the security of her building, she could see that she has a shitty attitude. She no longer feels insecure that she looks so amazingly beautiful because her angelic face was a scam!
Noah's ex-wife has a terrible personality. She scoffed inwardly, thinking Noah probably saw her with just her pretty face. No one would fall in love with this girl with how she is acting so high and mighty in front of these people.
Luke must have seen her discomfort, that he said in a rather loud voice, "Darling, we are going to be late for our flight."
