Lore, Labyrinth

 

 

I knew going through the labyrinth was a bad idea. No one who’s entered has ever been quite the same when they came back, if they came back at all. I always thought the legends of the lost continent were no more than stories told to our children but here I am, stranded on a continent where all my suggestions of a larger world are taken like the ravings of a lunatic. How many of those we presumed dead in the labyrinth actually got lost and came out here? I can’t be the first one but no one here seems to take my claims seriously.

Will I have to start a new life here? I could always try my luck in the labyrinth again but I’m not so sure that I will ever find my way back home, it might as well just be counted as suicide. I can’t even use the nexus as the people here view it as some sort of historical relic of an ancient past, having no idea of its actual use and no knowledge on how to operate it.

Everything here is so strange, so unfamiliar in most aspects but having many commonalities with home, no doubt from the time before this continent became known as lost. I will have to travel soon but I’ll leave this diary here for anyone else to find. If this is my last entry I have probably taken my chances with the labyrinth instead of settling down.

I hope you don’t find my recollections insane, not that it matters I suppose. I’ll never have the proof to back up my claims as long as I’m staying here and if I manage to get back home… I’ll never return.
