Lore, The three races

The three most prolific sapient races of the world are humans, dwarves, and elves. There’s always been those who put a specific race on a pedestal or drag one of them down but the simple truth is that the largest difference between our peoples are cultural.

There’s been different amounts of tensions between the races because of these cultural differences, most so between dwarves and elves. Humans have an easier time adapting to their societal norms as their own culture is heavily influenced by both elven and dwarven heritage. This makes human cities the most diverse, dwarven cities having very few elven residents and elven cities having very few dwarven residents. The dwarven emperor, Demitera Ledon of the Terradur Empire once said: “If dwarves are fire, then elves are water and humans steam. Water has no issue mixing with steam but fire will only do so reluctantly.”

Some argue that the quote is too much of an oversimplification, bordering on being a falsehood, while others see it as a truth not worth questioning.
