Just before entering the office of the director, Ken was pacing outside her office, his beautiful blonde hair was disheveled after ruffling it in frustration due to the rapid growth of one of the players under his surveillance.

"Why me? Why is that player under my care? What should I say once I knock," He kept on pacing with a tablet in hand.

'This is bad, this is bad,.....' He kept repeating the same words in a monotonous tone.

'What should I do?'

'I don't want to talk to the director right now,'

Ken didn't want to be here right now but weird things had been happening to the group of players under his surveillance. He was left with no choice but to man up to the director and inform her of the current state of affairs

'This is all because of that player,'

'Zero!!' Ken clenched his fist.

' I hate you!!' He gritted his teeth in frustration.

'Why can't you just let yourself be eliminated and everyone will be happy.'

'Now I have to go into the scary director's office,' he sighed in submission.

No matter what the outcome becomes, he had to inform the director before she finds out later on her own and lashes out her anger at him.

He knocked twice on her door.

"Come in," The sweet yet terrifying commanding voice of the director sounded from the other side of the room.

Ken sighed.

It appears the director was in a good mood today. He slowly opened the door and entered her office.

He could see Miss Kim sitting on her seat with a popular sports material known in the human world as a basketball, solely spinning on her long green-colored fingernails.

Miss Kim had distinctive emerald-colored hair with Jade white skin and an alluring feminine figure.

She had a peculiar interest in human culture, behaviors, and technology.

Why?

That's because every one hundred years, she was assigned the position of director of a race contesting in the game.

Every one hundred years, she had a different race under her care.

Her job is to examine the exceptional players in the race under her care, studying their personalities, characteristics, and their adaptability toward unprecedented circumstances that may occur throughout the game.

Right now, the human race was under her care.

Her objective as a director is to produce exceptional players to the upper realm of the game and to provide players worthy of entertaining the Higher Celestial elves and Elders of the inner circle.

Only by doing this will she be able to garner the acknowledgment of the Elders and Higher Celestial elves.

Ken stepped towards Kim, his hands and feet trembling tremendously when facing the presence of a High Celestial Elf. "G..... good day Miss Kim, I hope the stress....."

"Tch!!" Kim clicked her tongue. She was visibly irritated by Ken's unwanted pleasantries.

Ken noticed this and trembled on the spot. Cold sweats began to drench his body in this air-conditioned room. Ken dared not utter another word. There was nothing a Lesser Celestial Elf like him could do against a High Celestial Elf.

He remained stationary, somewhat lifeless as he waits for Kim to break the silence of the room.

The basketball spinning on her finger exploded and Ken was almost confused that it was the sound of his heart exploding.

His legs threatened to fall but he remained level-headed, after all, he was a man...barely.

Kim's naturally alluring yet devilishly dangerous voice snapped him out of his stupor.

"If I had known your purpose for interrupting my coffee break was to exchange pleasantries, I would have rejected you on the spot," She snapped.

Ken felt he was finally done for. If he doesn't act fast, his fate would truly end up in a similar way to the exploded basketball.

"Oh no Miss Kim," he dropped to his knees, tossing his level-headed composure straight into the bin.

"I... It's just that a few unanticipated anomalies had occurred in the Newbie Village number 666," He stuttered,

his heartbeat throbbing four times faster than its supposed rate.

Ken would have slapped himself a million times over to know if it was a dream had he witnessed the cute side of Kim while she was a pixie, welcoming the players into Surviving Online.

Unfortunately for him, all he could see in front of him was a cold and heartless High Celestial Elf.

Kim's eyebrows became furrowed.  "What happened? Did the number of spawning monsters double again?"

Kim wasn't worried if the number of spawned monsters had unwittingly doubled, the quick-witted ones among the players would have sought an easier way to progress to the next floor by vanquishing only just forty monsters.

Then the development team would have nothing to worry about and the game would progress steadily as it was supposed to.

"Or did you tinker with the number of spawning monsters again?" Her voice carried a ferocious weight that could boil Ken's bloodstream.

If this was to be the case of the anomalies, then Kim would gladly end Ken on the spot.

But that wasn't the case and Ken shook his head while swallowing a huge chunk of saliva. "It's just that a few players had been clearing the dungeon floors at a frightening pace, sweeping away every monster their eyes could see," His heart was a little relaxed now after seeing Kim wave her hand a little.

The destroyed remains of the basketball materialized back to their original form on her desk.

Seeing this, Ken made a sigh of relief.

Phew, A spark of hope of leaving this office in one piece had presented itself.

"And?" Kim asked. Her objective as a director is to pick out the exceptional players the human race had to offer.

If a few talented players were showing signs of becoming exceptional, Kim would have no qualms with this.

All she would have to do is wait and see who becomes ascended to the next realm, then the next phase of action would begin.

But if this wasn't the case, she would have to disregard the matter as irrelevant and not worthy of thought.

 .....

The total number of players currently in the lower realm:79,000.

Number of deceased players: 34

The total number of deceased players: is 1000.
