March was traversing through the city by jumping from roof to roof at an incredible speed that she can't be spotted by a regular bystander. It's an exaggeration, however, but for a normal citizen, traveling throughout the city in two hours can be called a miracle.
The city is just that big, a quarter of the part is occupied by extremely savage beasts called shop owners. People spread rumors about how when they enter Malduth's market, their silver mysteriously disappeared, when the truth is that they spend it all, instigated by the clever flattery of cunning market strategist.
It's all an exaggeration, however, but sometimes, rumors reflect reality.
'Master Niel, I don't have hope but I hope she is somehow decent...'
March forgot to leave the letter of invitation for Theo and Archie to Agatha because of panic. She didn't expect the twist of fate when she saw the true colors behind Agatha's benevolent smile. With Agatha in check, only five persons are left on her target list and coincidentally, she spotted Niel at Malduth's market.
Niel, for her also is a no-good person. She is like the hybrid chimera of a thug and a wise old man, a double-faced witch that switches personalities with the goal to brag about how smart she is to the people she knew and arrogant when it comes to strangers. Basically, another narcissistic woman but this time, there is not much going for her aside from her magical talent. Moreover, she's broke.
Niel this time is not wearing her usual attire, her head has a lot of bed hair that makes it look quite messy. She's also wearing a white dirty t-shirt that drops from her shoulder making her look like a woman of poverty.
Spotting Niel, March comes closer allowing her to see a vivid vision of the witch and a merchant in a peaceful transaction.
"HUUUHH?? THIS FISH IS A HUNDRED SILVER COIN? PWEH! WHO THE HELL IS GOING TO BUY THIS EXPENSIVE PIECE OF CRAP!!"
"HHUUUUHH?? PIECE OF CRAP YOU SAY? YOU, KIDS, DON'T HAVE EYES FOR QUALITY. GO CRY TO YOUR MOM OR WHATEVER AND DON'T COME BACK LITTLE SHIT"
March retreated from her advances.
She just can't.
The energy of extroverts is just too powerful that she is being pushed away by their sheer auric presence. It is like a bomb and the shockwaves make her limbs fall in distress. Her emotions are both swelling in fear and flight that she just wanted to run away, driven by the audacity and loudness of their voice.
"KID? HO? COMPARED TO YOU YES, I LOOK LIKE A KID ARGUING WITH A HUNDRED-YEAR-OLD UNDEAD MUMMY FUCKER"
March felt embarrassment and fright at the same time that she didn't know how to react, she just let her leg rattles like maracas. Compared to her, Niel continues to aggressively abase the merchant at her sight with fierce biting looks that are ready to devour the merchant's soul.
Though the merchant will never fall back and retreat with his tail between his legs. They are like a thug in a gang war but the spark that creates the fire is caused by a fish.
"HUUUHHHHH??!!"
"HHUUUHHH??!!"
And then the two lose their ability to speak like a human.
"I AM GOING TO BUY THIS FOR TWENTY SILVER"
"I AM GOING TO SELL THIS FOR EIGHTY SILVER"
"THIRTY"
"SEVENTY"
"FORTY"

"SIXTY"
The two continue their transaction while clashing their skull together representing how hard-headed or stubborn they are.
"Fifty, take it or I'll walk away."
Niel started without a tone of desperation as she looks into the merchant's eye. The merchant stares back at her trying to gauge her real intention. They did this for approximately thirty seconds before the merchant politely respond.
"Thank you for your kind purchase."
Then bowing his head showing his sincerity. He then sighs in defeat as Niel turns her back after packing her fish.
'Niel... won'
March stare at her in awe, she underestimated the power of narcissists. This is something she believed, she can't do for a thousand years. The ability to win a bargain is such a wonderful skill in the cruel world corrupted by entrepreneurs.
Though in the background, while Niel is making her epic leave, brushing her hair off with sparkling eyes and such. The merchant stares at her back with a wide nefarious grin.
The actual market price of the particular fish is worth forty silver...
Getting eaten by March's own pride against normies like Niel, she forced her brain to stop getting mesmerized and then narrate forcefully her thoughts while wearing a blank face.
'Cringe...'
She said in her head.
"March, do you need something from me?"
Niel came to her after getting spotted. She talks to March in a kind tone that she always used to, at least for the people she is close to. Now looking at her with wide sparkly purple eyes, March averted her gaze that are getting blinded by the imaginary bright light from Niel's seemingly biased kindness.
March immediately reached and give the invitation to Niel in a hurry.
"I-i-invitation!"
It is only one word yet her speech still seemingly gets botched.
"Ah, you really need to fix the way you talk..."
While reading the letter, Niel tried to give her advice in pure concern only for March to disappear while she was not looking.
"She disappeared"
Niel sighed in disappointment.
