The color diversity during this time period is very lacking. Well, considering most colors were derived from earth, stone, and other natural pigments it makes sense. Most buildings were earthy red, ochre, brown, and the occasional white. But in all honesty, it didn't look bad. At least compared to modern-day New York where everything is grey, for the most part, these buildings pop.
"So what is there to do around here?" asked Uzui who was drawing some attention to himself with the color of his hair.
Well, we all were considering we're not what you would typically see in a group. A 6' 6" white-haired Japanese man who's debatably as beautiful as any woman. A white-haired beauty with a scar on her face as intimidating as any man, more so even. A short dark-skinned purple-haired beauty with yellow eyes so piercing you don't want to stare for long. And then the three most normal, a blonde-blue-eyed beauty, a relatively tall blonde man, and a pretty muscular and tall for his age child.
"Boy, are we attracting attention. But to answer your question Uzui, I don't know. We can explore the city and see the sights. We can eat food and drink. Just have fun and relax while we wait out the clock." I explained.
"Wait, we don't have any money." said Guts
"Oh. Well, we can hunt something and bring it back to trade or sell. Really makes you appreciate the simpler times."
"We don't have to do that. We can exchange 1 DGC point for 100 of the local currency." said Amelia.
"We can? Guess I missed that when I was checking out the shop." I said before going to the Shop and exchanging 10 points for 1000 British sterling pounds.
"Okay, we're set on money so, let's go experience life in the colonies." I said before we started to walk towards the center of town.
~~
"That was fun." I said sitting down in a tavern to get something to eat and rest.
We walked all around the city. We went to the center of town and experienced life in the colonies. We saw the original Trinity Church before it was burned down later on and rebuilt two more times. Amelia wanted to go to the port to see out into the ocean and the sea of boats carrying people from all over with different stories.
We rode carriages throughout the town, made conversation with different people, and bartered for souvenirs. All in all, it was a fun day.
"Indeed. It is hard to believe our worlds are so similar in how people live their lives." said Ciri.
"I agree. This place reminds me of home a bit. Except there's less fighting here." added on Guts.
"For now anyways. The world will go through a period of conflict for many years before things settle down a bit." I said thinking about the beginning of the end of imperialism.
"Hello, what can I get for you this afternoon?" asked the tavern's proprietress.
"Six of the house special, five meads, and juice for the boy." I ordered.
"Alright, it'll be ready soon." she said before leaving to get our orders ready. Shortly after, she came back with our drinks.
While waiting for our food to be ready, we chatted about different things until a certain group of people barged into the tavern.
BANG
With the loud noise of the doors slamming open, the entire tavern quieted down to look at who made the noise. And who should it be other than the redcoats. Seeing these red bastards, the people in the tavern turned back to their food and continued what they were doing in a quiet somber.
The group of five redcoats with their rifles at their back entered the tavern with a look of disdain on their faces. The clear derision at having to be in the colonies and having to patrol was not hidden at all. After standing at the door for a few seconds, they entered the tavern and sat down further in so as not to be near the rest of the people.
As they sat down, the proprietress came out to serve them and quickly rushed away to get their order before anyone else.
"Ugh great, now our order is going to take longer." I said with impatience.
"Why?" asked Uzui.
"You see those guys that came in with the red coats. They're the military power in charge of the colonies. That means they're the law around here, and they get served first. So, we have to wait even longer." said Amelia taking a sip of her mead.
As we chatted about the red coats, I noticed them looking over at us.
"Trouble is brewing." I said seeing them stand up and walk towards us.
"You six, identify yourselves." said the one who I presume is in charge while looking down his nose at us. Of course, looking at the other four behind him and their lecherous stares, it wasn't that hard to realize why they approached. We have three beautiful ladies with us, and they want them.
"Afternoon gentlemen. We six are a band of adventurers resting before we leave for our next destination." I explained.
"Adventurers? Surely you jest. Peasants such as yourselves are much more suited to be called dirty mercenaries." he said with a sneer while his comrades laughed.
"Perhaps you are right. Well gentlemen I believe your food is ready, but I've quite enjoyed the chat." I said hoping they would just leave. Not that I'm scared of them, no it's quite the opposite. It's just too troublesome to kill members of the biggest empire in the world right now. And I still want to relax in the city before we leave.
"Are you telling us what to do, peasant?" said one of the lackeys.
"Sigh. No, I just want to enjoy my time with my friends and not be bothered by a Frenchman's dogs." I replied.
"Frenchman? Are you so dull that you don't even know the ruling power is Great Britain? HAHA!" said the leader before laughing.
"Are you so dull that you don't even know that your King George, can't speak English but only French? And that he locked up his wife for infidelity? That last one doesn't have anything to do with him being a Frenchman but I like to bring it up because it's quite funny, I think." I retorted at which they all stopped laughing while everyone else in the tavern burst out laughing.

Fuming with anger at my insult of their king, all five of them drew their rifles and pointed them at us.
"You dare insult the King! That is a crime punishable by death! Come with us or we'll shoot you right where you stand!" the leader screamed at me.
"Ugh, we were having such a good time too." I said before using tk to reinforce my body and rushing the leader. Unable to keep up with my speed, I punched the leader in the head with enough force to snap his neck before I took the knife at his side and threw it at another.
Uzui sensing what I was going to do as I stood up, appeared behind two other soldiers and chopped their necks while Amelia turned her hand into a flintlock and shot the last one.
The tavern surprised by what just transpired was silent for a few seconds before they all screamed and rushed out of the building.
"Great. Now we have to leave town. Ahh, why couldn't they leave us alone." I said frustrated at my relaxation being ruined.
"Why'd you kill them?" I heard a whimpering voice ask. I turned to look in the direction where the voice came from and it was the proprietress.
"They were going to kill us and probably violate my friends. We want to live, and they want to kill us. They die, we live. Simple as that." I said before taking out 100 pounds and putting them on the table. "Here, sorry for the trouble this is going to cause. Don't try to help us, tell them what they want to know and continue to live."
"Alright, let's get out of here before word get's out about our description." I said to the group before walking out of the tavern and back to the ship.
~~
Back on the ship, we were standing around the common area in a bit of fouled mood.
"Well that ruined everything." said Yoruichi.
"Unfortunately it did, but it's for the best. I'd rather we have a ruined day and be wanted than anything bad happens to anyone of us." I replied.
"Our hero." said Yoruichi with a smirk and an exaggerated swoon.
"Besides, we can still go to Boston. It's just as big as New York." I said before starting the ship and flying to Boston.
~~
Visiting Boston was just as fun as visiting New York and we had no problems there. We explored the city and ate the local cuisine. We met people and we even stopped a thief which led to the owner letting us drink for free. Which we took advantage of. Maybe too much. Which I felt bad for, so I left a sizeable tip for his troubles.
Uzui started an arm-wrestling competition with all the tavern folk and won every single match which boosted his ego even more. And that led to Yoruichi taking him down a notch. Amelia, on the other hand, can't hold her alcohol very much. She drank two cups of mead and was out like a light.
Ciri was better than Amelia but not by much, and it turns out that when Ciri gets really drunk she sings. Not well either. It was funny how she got booed off the table to stop singing. She took it like a champ though and kept her spirits up.
As for me, it turns out I can drink like Gragas. Thankfully I was able to get a little drunk after quite a lot of drinks, but it's a little sad how much I have to drink before I get drunk. Maybe that wine from Asgard would work. Anyways, my getting drunk let my inhibitions loosen a bit and I ended up sleeping with a barmaid after putting the moves on her. I was still sober enough to not make any mistakes so there's no need for me to worry about any Matt Jrs in the future.
The morning after I was able to wake up before her, so I snuck out but not before leaving a note. Common courtesy I learned from the Barnacle. I was able to find everyone else waiting for me in the tavern downstairs with big smiles on their faces which was a little embarrassing. But it did cement how close we've become over the time we've known each other.
After that we spent the rest of our time relaxing and eating before time was almost up.
[5 minutes left]
"It's been fun everybody." I said.
"I haven't had this much fun in ages." agreed Ciri.
"Hahaha. It was fun. I can't wait for the next mission." said Uzui.
"Yes it has, too bad I won't be seeing this cutie for a while." she said hugging Guts for the last time who looked glad he'd be free.
"Hmm, I'll miss you guys too." said Amelia.
"Alright everyone let's take a group picture to remember our first mission." I said before using my telekinesis to take a photo of the six of us in a Team 7 pose.
"Remember to mark us Ciri." I reminded her.
"Oh right! I almost forgot, thank you Matt." she said before marking us which showed up as a swallow on our hands. "There we go, now I can visit you guys whenever I want."
