"Are you dumb?" asked Twinkie as I was walking to Han's car.

"Not particularly. Besides, even if I do lose, it's just 5K, I have plenty of money. Life's about experiences when you can afford it, and surviving when you can't. Considering I can, why not?"

"Because he's DK, which means that no matter how good you are you won't beat him." said Twinkie.

"Let him be. If he hadn't spoken up, I would've. Want to see that smug smile wiped off that sonuvabitch." said Sean.

"Yeah, see he gets it. Don't worry, I don't plan on losing." I said as I entered the elevator to go to the race starting line.

As the doors opened, the first thing I saw was Han's 2001 Nissan Silvia S-15 Spec-S already at the starting line and it was a beauty. The blue, white, and orange color scheme of the car made it really stand out but not in a bad way.

'Wonder how much I would have to pay Han to get this car off his hands. Doesn't hurt to ask I suppose.' I thought as I got in the car and communicated with it. I didn't have time to experience Han's memories and get his knowledge about drifting, but I do remember the entire movie so I can use what he said to Sean. That in addition to my enhanced reaction speed should be more than enough to win the race. If not, it's a good experience at the very least.

Starting the car, I could feel the power with just the engine starting, and revving it made the feeling even stronger. Turning to my left, DK was talking to Neela before he started to enter his car. Looking over with a smug smile, I flashed him a big toothy smile with a thumbs up which he just ignored and looked forward.

As we both revved our cars, a man in a suit walked out and got in between our cars.

"Ready." said the girl on the right.

VROOM

"Set." said the girl on the left.

VROOM

"Go!." he said pointing to us both.

SCREECH

And off to the races we were. I was able to react faster than he was and took the lead in the beginning. Gapping him by a car's length on the straightaway, I quickly came up on the first test of my drifting skills, a right turn. Very quickly going over the information in my mind, I followed the steps.

Turn the wheel in the direction of the turn, spin the wheel toward the corner while applying the throttle, steer away from the bend to begin drifting, and straighten out once you get around the bend.

SCREECH

As I drifted the turn, I could see that DK was still behind me and hadn't yet gotten to the turn. But as I drifted, he could see me clear as day, so I decided to flash him a grin before taking off.

Floor after floor I kept gapping him and clearing the drifts without losing too much speed or distance. Until finally, we came upon the final obstacle to winning the race, the snake road, actually it didn't have a name but it should. I remember the shot where DK is drifting it and constantly pressing the throttle to keep the drift but also upkeep the speed without overdoing it.

As I was about to enter it, I slowed down just a tad so I don't go over the edge, but went straight into the drift, careful not to hit the barriers or I'd lose all momentum. Copying DK's throttle pump, I was able to keep the drift all the way through and come out the end unscathed, and victorious.

Stopping right at the finish line, a second or two later, DK finished the road and parked next to me. Getting out of the car simultaneously, I looked over to see he looked angry and ready to kill me.

"Good race, DK. Too bad I won, beginners luck probably. Thanks for letting me borrow the car, Han." I said tossing the keys to him.

"Too bad you won. Here." he said reluctantly handing me the keys while staring me down.

"Thanks. I'll take good care of her, I promise." I said with a smile.

"Don't worry, you won't be alive long enough for it to matter." he grimly whispered in Japanese.

"Those are fighting words, you know. Are you sure that's what you meant to say?" I responded in Japanese.

"You don't know who you're dealing with, gaijin."

"Alright, that's enough DK. You lost, you just have to win your car back. No big deal." said Han pulling DK back.

"Tch, I'll see you around, gaijin." he said menacingly before walking off with his goons.

"Pissing off the yakuza, not the brightest move, I have to say." said Han.

"Eh, big deal. Frog in a well. But who cares about that, you selling your car?" I asked him.

"My car? Are you kidding me? Didn't you just win one?"

"Well, yeah, but that's two separate matters. I like DK's car, but I really like your car."

"Sorry, not selling right now." he said while eating his snacks.

"That's too bad. But you seem like a man who can help me procure certain cars. Or am I wrong?"

"Maybe. What are you looking for?"

"A lot, but right now I'm happy with the one I won. I'll find you if I'm ever in the market. Here, my card." I said handing over the card before hopping into DK-, my 350Z.

"Wait, you're a doctor?" he said, a little stunned.

"Yep, later." I said, flashing a smile before taking off. And on the way down to the ground floor, I passed DK to whom I gave a big middle finger as a final nail in the coffin.

'That'll definitely piss him off. Should expect retaliation, but who cares. I'll be gone tomorrow.' I thought as I pulled out my phone to call Masato.

"How may I help you, Garetty-sama?"

"Did I wake you?"

"No, Garetty-sama. I am still in the office."

"Sorry, for waking you Masato, but I wanted to ask if my suite at the hotel came with dedicated parking spots."

"It does, it comes with 5, Garetty-sama. I will inform the staff to guide you to them when you arrive."

"Great, thank you so much, Masato. I really appreciate it."

"It is no problem, Garetty-sama."

"Alright, good night, Masato."

"Good night, Garetty-sama." he said before I hung up.

"5 parking spots, huh? GTA has 10 in their high end, but I only get 5? Well, not like it really matters. And this way, I don't think DK would ever think of stealing it back if it's on Shinomiya property. Unless he has a death wish. All that racing really stirred up my appetite though, guess I'll park somewhere and get something to eat." I said as I drove around before finding a parking spot near an alley that was full of restaurants.

"This looks good. Lots of options for me to choose from. I just hope it's good."

Parking the car and getting out, I was hit with a complex aroma of all the different types of food mingling and combining into one.

"Ooh, smells nice."

Walking into the crowded alley, it was clear to see why it was so popular. Just the variety of restaurants was enough to draw a crowd, but the smell also made it even more appealing. Trying to decide what to eat from the many choices, I was walking by another alley, an alley in an alley weird, when I spotted a restaurant that had no crowd.

'Megumi? Odd name for a restaurant? Curious.' I thought as I walked towards it to see if it was open. Seeing the door cracked open with light spilling out, I opened it and walked inside.

"Excuse me, are you open?" I asked as I turned to see a few people in the restaurant. A brown-haired man with glasses, a little girl with blonde hair and green eyes, and a black-haired girl with a student uniform and an apron on.

"E-eh, s-sorry, we're not open." said the student panicking at my sudden intrusion.

"Oops, sorry. I saw the door was open and the light was coming out so I assumed it was open. Pardon my intrusion." I said, bowing my head a little as I turned to leave.

"W-wait! I-I'll feel bad if you leave after that misunderstanding. It was my fault I made you come here expecting food to eat. Please, I'll cook something for you!" she said, bowing to me.

"Uhh, it's not a problem. It was my mistake anyhow. And besides, it looks like you have company, so I don't want to bother you." I said looking at the man and little girl who were looking at me.

"Nii-san, you're handsome." said the little girl.

"T-tsumugi, you're being rude. I'm sorry." said her father, apologizing to me.

"What are you apologizing for? Besides, I think you're cute too." I teased, winking at her and flashing a big smile.

"Hehe." she said smiling back.

"I'm Iida Kotori, thank you for coming to this restaurant. Please sit and I will prepare your food." said the student.
