"Oh yeah. You like that?"
"Yes, daddy! Harder!"
"Tell me again. Why are we watching this"? I asked Steve, as he, Andrew, and I were huddled up looking at the video on his phone.
"What do you mean why? It's a celebrity sex tape. Isn't that a good enough reason?" he asked as he looked at me like I was dumb.
"No, I mean I get it. Celebrities doing it and all that. But why are we watching it together? And why are we all huddled up? In the cafeteria?" I said, gesturing around us to show that people were looking over at us with weird looks.
"Ooh, good point. Didn't really think about all that." said Steve as he put his phone away.
"It was pretty good though." said Andrew.
"Meh." I said.
"What, you didn't like it?" asked Andrew.
"Not really. Pretty tame for a sex tape." I said, thinking back on the various sex tapes that had been leaked in my previous life and compared to some of those, which weren't the best either, the one we watched was lower on the list.
Not to mention, the celebrity was one that I didn't even know. Matt had some memories about her from some of her movies and whatnot, but she wasn't anyone from my past life, so I didn't really care.
"Probably leaked on purpose. Like Kim Kardashians." said Steve.
"Makes sense. She's not doing all that well in terms of popularity and considering the video barely shows anything, it tracks." I said.
"Well that kind of ruins it." said Andrew.
"Why?" asked Steve while I was curious as well.
"Cause then it's like a movie."
"But porn is the same thing." I said.
"Yeah, and I don't like that either. There's something almost cathartic about watching two people who aren't playing it up for the camera and are just in the moment." he explained.
"Interesting." I said.
"Weird." said Steve.
"Whatever." said Andrew while chuckling.
DING DING DING
"Time for class. Later boys." I said while getting up to go to my next class.
"Later." x2
My next class was Intro to Computer Programming which thanks to my Hacking skill was pretty much a free period for me. Especially because the teacher let me do whatever I wanted once he saw how good I was. He even asked me to teach him something.
He also asked me to join the AFA Cyberpatriots, a national youth cyber education program created by the Air Force Association which was to help students get interested in cybersecurity. Obviously, I denied it because I wasn't about to become a Jr. G-Man. But I digress.
As I walked to class, I saw Casey Letter pass me by and give me a side-eye, which was thanks to the old Matt, who was a bit of an egoist. But with me taking up residence in Matt, that's changed and so have any residual feelings for her. Now I just thought she was attractive but I wouldn't pursue anything.
Entering class, which was a classroom full of computers around the wall, and sitting at my workstation, I began to think about the past two weeks.
After safely getting Aunt Karen and Andrew away from Uncle Dick, they moved in with us. Aunt Karen was taken to the hospital where my mom worked before being looked at. Thankfully her cancer had not spread to the point where nothing could be done, much to our relief, and her oncologist said with a slightly more aggressive chemo treatment, it should be okay.
But with my mother being a doctor, she knew it wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion so she faxed Aunt Karen's medical records to a few oncologists she knew. Including one James Wilson. From House. But if my memory serves me correctly, he should be in the midst of dealing with his own cancer and most likely wouldn't respond.
Other than that eventful first day, the rest of the two weeks were spent adjusting to having new people in the house which was a little hard at first. On the bright side, it did mean that Andrew and I rekindled the friendship we used to have as children.
And of course, I also spent my free time training my PK, and the fruits of my labor had paid off.
The first day of my training was a little tough because it was hard to grasp the water in the way that I wanted. It wasn't like grasping something solid, it was more like creating a container for the water, but I have no doubt in my mind I'll be able to grasp liquids, and more, in the future.
Anyway, training on my first day with water only lasted for a few minutes before I started to bleed. But after resting for a while I gave it another go. And now, two weeks later, I had progressed far enough to where I was able to lift up to 50 pounds comfortably, which meant moving the object around without struggling, and 100 pounds if I tried really hard.
That's for raw strength but for the more delicate things, I've managed to get to the point where I can simultaneously build 4 different Lego sets at once, though it does put a little strain on me and I have to concentrate to do it. I also recently started to try to create PK constructs, invisible ones of course, but it's hard to focus on keeping the construct stable especially the more complicated it is.
Other than that I've also started to work on other techniques like using my PK as a radar. Essentially I send out a weak pulse of my psionic energy to my surroundings and a mental map is created. Making a more detailed map is more strenuous so I tend to just use it to detect organic matter which I discovered takes in psionic energy much easier than non-organic matter.
So to use my Radar on only organic matter, I send out a very weak pulse but to use it on non-organic matter, I have to up the amount of psionic energy in the pulse so it registers.
And now that I've gotten such a big head start on my PK training, I've decided it's time to tell Steve and Andrew about it.
As for the Store and its weekly refreshes, nothing that I could afford has popped out to me. The previous week's store had something I really wanted but couldn't afford, a devil fruit. More specifically, the Gura Gura no Mi also known as Whitebeard's Devil Fruit.
But seeing the price made me cry on the spot. Not as much as the Kryptonian Bloodline, but it was a big number. Big enough to make me cry. Pause.
'Don't have anything to do in this class so let me text them to meet me at my car after school.' I thought before doing so.
'Might as well take a nap.'
~
"So what did you want to talk about?" asked Steve as he got in the back of my car.
"You guys remember that crystal thing from a few weeks ago, right?" I asked.
"The one you both thought was an alien?" teased Steve.
"It was." said Andrew.
"Let's not do this again, but yes, that one."
"What about it?" asked Andrew.
"I think it gave us powers."
"Powers?" they said simultaneously, both just as confused.

"Yeah. Powers."
"Are you high?" asked Steve.
"Not today. Look I was in my programming class, bored out of my mind and I was playing with my pen and I decided to mess around and try to make it levitate."
"Are you a child?" asked Steve.
"No. I watched Star Wars last night and I wanted to see if I could use the force." I said, making them both look at me like a child.
"Anyway, I tried it out and it worked!" I said, acting as if I had just recently discovered it.
"What did? The force?" joked Andrew.
"Guys I'm serious. Look." I said before pulling out my keys and making them float in between my hands.
"What the fuck?!" they both said.
"I told you."
"It's a magic trick or something right?" asked Andrew as he put his all around the keys, checking for strings.
"Holy shit." he said.
"You're in on this too?" said Steve, thinking he was being pranked by the both of us.
"He's not lying." said Andrew, bewildered by the realization that he may have powers as well.
"You think it's just a magic trick? Then how about this?" I said before moving the keys all around the car and making them spin.
"What the fuck?" said Steve.
"Told you. I'm not lying." I said, putting the keys back down while the two of them descended into stunned silence.
CLAP
"Earth to Andrew and Steve." I said, snapping them out of their stunned state.
"Holy shit."
"Yeah. That's what I said."
"So you think we have those powers too? Because of the crystal thing?" asked Andrew, looking a little excited about the prospect of having superpowers, and honestly who wouldn't?
"Only thing I can think of that might cause this."
"Let's try it then!" said Steve.
"Okay, try lifting my keys." I said.
"Okay." he said, staring at the keys before looking back at me.
"How?"
"Oh right. Well, I just focused on the pen, stuck my hand out, and thought about moving it and it worked. So try that. You should feel something leave your brain/mind when it works." I explained to him before he attempted it again.
And after a few seconds of him concentrating really hard, the pen moved.
"Holy shit." he whispered, completely dumbfounded that it worked.
"I want to try!" said Andrew.
And just like Steve, a few seconds later, the pen moved.
"Hahaha!" laughed Andrew.
"Pretty sweet right?" I asked.
"Fuck yeah, it's sweet!" said Steve.
"Wait." said Andrew, causing us both to look at him.
"Why could you move the keys around like that and we can barely move the pen?" asked Andrew.
"I don't know. I'm not a superpower expert." I said, keeping my cool.
"Who cares? We all have powers!" said Steve.
"Steve's right. Who cares!" I said.
"Wait. So then the crystal thing is an alien?" asked Andrew.
"Probably." I said.
"Then let's go look at it again." he said.
"No thank you."
"Why?"
"Because if that thing gave us these powers, then what do you think it could do to us? We got lucky the first time. Don't really feel like testing my luck again." I said, even though it was most likely dead or in deep recovery from the mental battle we had the first day I arrived.
"I don't want to mess with that thing either." said Steve.
"Okay." said Andrew, dropping the subject even though he still looked a little unwilling to let go of it.
"Okay then. You guys hungry?"
