Chapter 24: Yuki VS Kakashi

Kakashi narrowed his eyes at Yuki. He couldn't accept what had just happened. "I want you to try again." After saying this, he pulled his headband up, revealing the eye underneath. His eye slowly opened to reveal an eye different from his other eye. An eye that was red with two tomoes was revealed. His gaze fell on Yuki: "I want to see just how good you truly are."

Yuki frowned as she looked over at Jiraiya and asked: "Jiraiya, are you sure this man is not a pervert? The way he is looking at me is kind of creepy. I mean, look at the book he is reading…."

Kakashi almost fell over at Yuki's words while Jiraiya had to turn away and cover his mouth. But one could see that he was laughing with how his shoulders were shaking uncontrollably. "Look now…." Kakashi sighed as he tried to save the situation and his dignity. "What I read has nothing to do with anything. And I was not looking at you in any weird way."

"The more you try to explain it, the more it sounds like you are trying to cover up your pervertedness. Anyway, my guess is your eye will do something that will help you fight me, correct?" Yuki decided to let the old pervert off since she did not wish to be standing here all day.

"You can say that." Kakashi said while letting out an internal sigh of relief that the little girl did not press the matter any longer.

"Okay, but I suggest you put away your book.." Yuki tossed the book in her hand back over to Kakashi, causing him to frantically catch it. When he held it in his hands once more, he dusted the cover off with his shirt before putting it away.

"Okay then. Let's try this again, shall we?" Kakashi finally put on a more serious expression. His red eye began to spin slightly as he focused in on Yuki.

"Then I will go first," Yuki said with a smile before stepping forward once more. This time she was going in for the attack. She used chakra and her soul power to cover her right leg as she sent a kick toward Kakashi's side. By using both her chakra and soul power mixed together it helped compensate for her lack of physical strength. She was only five years old, so her body was not as strong as an adult man's. But she learned to compensate for her lack of strength by using her two powers mixed together bringing her strength to a whole new level. It also acted as a barrier so she would not hurt herself while fighting. There was also a pleasant side effect to this as well. Anything she touches would begin to freeze. It was not an instant freeze but a slow process.

Kakashi's eye spun around. He felt relieved that he was finally able to see the girl's movements. But what he saw was quite surprising. She used some kind of strange technique to simply flash over to his side in a single step. She was so fast that even with his sharingan active, it was hard for him to follow. But seeing her attack with her leg, he quickly raised his knee and brought down his elbow on top of it to block the strike.

Sadly he did not take into account Yuki's power. He failed to realize that he was still underestimating the little girl. Because as soon as her kick hit him, he was sent flying, tumbling across the dirt. He turned and stared at the little girl with wide eyes. Although he was truly surprised, he also quickly learned not to underestimate his opponent now. He went to make hand signs to perform a jutsu, but before he could even get the second hand sign made, a little fist smashed him in the face sending him flying once more.

A bout of laughter could be heard as Kakashi flew through the air. Jiraiya could no longer hold it in. Just seeing Kakashi being toyed with by a little girl made him buckle over in laughter. He knew very well how Kakashi felt because he also had to deal with this little monster. She absorbed everything that was taught to her making her a genius that stood above all other geniuses.

"Kakashi, I would not waste time performing hand signs." Jiraiya yelled over. After all, Yuki had not used a single ninjutsu this entire time. She was only using taijutsu.

Hearing Jiraiya's words, Kakashi calmed his nerves and quickly blocked the next attack that came at this side. Since the little girl could send him flying, he could do the same! This time he was truly being serious as he went toe to toe with each strike Yuki threw at him. His eyes flowed her movements, and he slowly began to understand her attack pattern and was slowly adjusting to her speed. In a way, this was actually very good practice for himself as well.

At first, her strange movements were making it hard for him to counter attack, but now he was able to strike back here and there. After almost an hour of fighting, the two began to clash head on at the same speed. In just a single hour, Kakashi learned Yuki's movement technique and created a version of his own. The two were now flashing back and forth across the training field, only stopping for a split second as they clashed together.

It was not until the height of their battle that Kakashi remembered that he was limited on the use of his left eye. He felt the strain becoming too much, and as he faltered, he was sent flying by one of Yuki's kicks.

"Okay! Match end!" Jiraiya already knew Kakashi was at his limit, so he decided to put an end to the fight.

Yuki came to a stop and bent over with her hands on her knees. Sweat dripped from her hair as she tried to catch her breath. The fight just now was beyond her expectations. She never expected Kakashi to actually learn flash step just by watching her. She felt that if they continued fighting, she would end up losing big time.

Seeing that everyone stopped, Jiraiya yelled out: "After Kakashi rests for a bit, Hinata can do her test as well."
