In the meantime, Fiz, the handsome blue-haired man in a gray attendant suit, burst into the room.

In the blink of an eye, Fiz, now in front of Ejed, pressed his head right on the carpet.

His blue hair was dishevelled like a homeless man wandering the capital.  He was no less nervous than when they fought off an enemy country from invading.

Ejed barely opened his mouth.

“Tell me.”

“Um… Ugh… Miss Dsev… de-decl-declared… a… declaration of non-marriage…”

Non-marriage?

“…”

“Non-marriage. She made a declaration!”

That’s outrageous!

As the heavy symphony of fate rang in his ears, he couldn’t hear any more, so he turned his body and stared out of the window.

It seemed like a dark shade had fallen on his broad, firm back.

The two aides trembled. Wasn’t this a more terrifying atmosphere than being raided by another country?

Doher breathlessly grimaced, while Fiz still gasped, spitting out breathlessly.

“Speak properly.”

“That, that… that, Lady Yennie.”

“… It’s Annie.”

“Huh?”

“It’s Annie.”

Ejed, who corrected him at the last minute, bit on his lower lip, hard enough for it to bleed. He pretended to be calm, but his lips couldn’t help but tremble.

Of course, this was not known to his two aides because he turned his back.  Fiz took the lead after having exchanged eyes with Doher.

“Well… what happened was… at… that family dinner… Ms. Annie declared that she would not date anymore, so this letter…”

Ejed’s jaw now tightened as Fiz put the letter on his desk.

He expected it to be a difficult process, but who would have thought it would end before even attempting!

He said in a subdued voice, as if he was about to enter a cave.

“Get out.”

The two aides left the room as if they had been waiting.

Thud.

In the meantime, the door was closed tightly, and Ejed praised the two.  Most of the people who were scared of him had forgotten the basic act of closing the door and just ran away, and this only didn’t happen once or twice so it was troublesome.

Ejed, who was left alone, pressed his forehead on the window.

Bang, bang.

Even with the cold glass, the heat in his head did not cool easily. Ejed, who bumped his forehead several times, sighed.

His loving father’s voice came to mind.

[Now. No matter how you become emperor, things in this world don’t go as you wish, especially the heart of a loved one.  ]

‘You’re right… Father…’

With a sigh, Ejed carefully put the letter into the drawer. Even if it couldn’t be sent right now, he wanted to hand it over to the Dsev family.

The paper thrown away while writing this letter was enough to fill the library.

The amount of paper Ejed threw away whilst writing the letter was enough to fill a library.

In the midst of the war between life and death, he practiced writing while reducing his sleep at night, and even when he wrote a verse. He tried hard to find expressions to convey his sincerity.

As he stared at the tightly closed drawer, his eyes and ears drooped like a dog abandoned by his owner.

‘My Annie is declaring a non-marriage…‘

After all, Annie was an unpredictable and charming woman. He thought so, and was anxious and had to skip dinner.

Rather than satisfying his hunger right now, his priority was to find a way to change Annie’s mind.

‘What should I do…’‘

Now Ejed stood by the window all night and thought carefully.

If possible, he would like to seek advice from Robbie, his greatest helper and father-figure, but not as much as his love life.

What he said was very obvious.

Robbie was an amazing person. One day, he suddenly appeared at the temple and helped the Porcaus Empire gain a great amount of power and put Ejed’s father on the throne.

Even when Ejed’s parents had passed away in an accident, it was Robbie that held his hand at the funeral.

And he was the one who shed more tears than anyone else. He and Robbie were close friends.

Ejed, I’ll protect you.

I will make sure you live the cliché happy life as much as you can.
