“I’m here to ask for your help.” Qian Jin squinted at Marc Gavin smilingly. “It should be an easy task for you.”
Marc Gavin put on his pants and caught sight of the happy face of Qian Jin, guessing that it could by no means be a trivial thing, or else this boy wouldn’t have run to him so early in the morning.
“Boy… are you impotent in that aspect?” Marc Gavin looked at Qian Jin doubtfully. “Do you want me to get some Viagra for you?”
“What? I am poor at that?” Qian Jin patted on his waist, “I’m stronger than what you can imagine. Besides, I am the high-level pharmacist erudite in all divisions…”
“Sorry, I forgot about that. You are a great high-level pharmacist, erudite in all divisions.” Marc Gavin approached Qian Jin with a chuckle, “Young boy, do you have that type of potion?”
Qian Jin looked at Marc Gavin blankly. “Uncle…you look so sturdy…”
“Don’t say that.” After getting dressed, Marc Gavin laid his arms around Qian Jin’s shoulder in an intimate way. “A man always hopes to be stronger.”
Qian Jin gazed at Marc Gavin for several seconds, “My uncle, has that sold well?”
“Of course it is.” Marc Gavin chuckled. “Especially for those dumbass members of the Mage Union. As long as it works well, they will spend a lot of money to purchase it.”
Qian Jin nodded his head slightly and started pondering on the expansion of the Roll Family’s business. For making larger profits, special commodities were needed. Though he was not good at doing business, he would be of help in making potions.
Especially the potion for men, which required a high degree of confidentiality in burden sheets and dosage of medicine taking, instead of the concocting techniques.
“Boy, was that your only reason for coming here so early in the morning?”
Qian Jin patted his head and laughed. He had nearly forgotten the true reason he came for while teasing Marc Gavin.
“Uncle, I want you to find some warriors you had good faith in, someone who is tight-lipped and strong enough to go to the frontier for me.”
“The frontier?” Marc Gavin waved his hand. “That’s not necessary. The tension centered on you in the frontier has already ended. As long as you remain a low key there, no one will notice you.”
“No! No! No! I haven’t finished speaking. “Qian Jin changed the way he sat: “A bulk of goods belonging to the Roll Family has been intercepted in the frontier.”
“Who did it? Are they asking for death?” Marc Gavin wielded his ax fiercely in the air. “Do you want someone strong to chop off those dick-headed bandits? Let me go there.”
“My uncle…” Qian Jin pressed Marc Gavin, the agitated leader of the Torrent Battle Fort, down onto the bed. “Please listen to me. I want you to find someone to go to the Black Wind Bandit Group. I have a good relationship with one of their leaders who might be able to help me find out which despicable bandit group stole our goods.”
“Black Wind Bandit Group? Top Ten Bandit Groups in the Frontier?” Marc Gavin looked at Qian Jin with great astonishment, wondering how this boy established such a wide network over these years, among which the notorious Black Wind Bandit Group of the Top Ten Bandit Groups in the Frontier was involved.
Having taken up the post of leader of the Torrent Battle Fort, he had established some contact with the bandit groups in the frontier. However, when he was at Qian Jin’s age, he thought of nothing but the honing of his fighting techniques. He even dreamed of becoming the King of the New Generation Mage and Warrior Competition during his years in the high-level warrior academy.
Zence New Generation Mage and Warrior Competition. Marc Gavin screwed his thick black eyebrows. “Boy, do you wish to take part in the competition this year?”
“Definitely.”
Qian Jin replied without any hesitation as the imperious image of Qian Zhanxuan emerged in his mind. Inside the Qian Family was numerous members who had devoted infinite resources to the ongoing rise of the family, though they themselves hadn’t awakened the bloodline power, without which the Qian Family couldn’t have been as strong and influential as today.
“Good boy.” Marc Gavin patted his hands hard on the bed. “You are expected to break into the top sixteen contestants during the finals, to increase the morale of the ordinary warriors.”
“The top sixteen contestants?” Qian Jin was shocked.
“The top sixteen contestants.” Marc Gavin wore a desperately gloomy face. “Never have the ordinary warriors squeezed into the top sixteen list. As for me, I was defeated during the preliminaries… even Fabreidis was eliminated before that.”
“Zence New Generation Mage and Warrior Competition…” Marc Gavin kept sighing and reminiscing. “It is a truly luxury gala, which gathers the most illustrious elites and talents emerged over the generations in the Zence Empire.”
“What it clusters is not the ingenious warriors and mages in a single Yulee City or any other regions.” Marc Gavin wore an enchanted face. “This world is never devoid of talents. However, only those who can withhold the test of the big melting pot and maintain a fast growth can be deemed as the real talents.”

Never had Qian Jin seen such a mesmerized look from Marc Gavin, the high-ranking leader of the Torrent Battle Fort. Well, the New Generation Mage and Warrior Competition was, after all, a state-level gala in the Zence Empire.
“Respected fort leader…”
A worried-looking warrior waved at Marc Gavin incessantly outside the door of his room.
Marc Gavin looked at Qian Jin and then turned to the warrior standing outside and waved at him. “You may speak what you want. Qian Jin is a member of the Torrent Battle Fort and nothing needs to be kept secret from him.”
The warrior stepped into the room, with his worried look unchanged. Every time he wanted to say something, he would seal his mouth again at the sight of Qian Jin and wear deeper misgivings on his face.
Seeing the awkward look of the warrior, Qian Jin felt sympathetic. So he propped the bed and rose up. “Dear uncle, I have some business to mind, so…”
“Mind what business. Sit down there.” Marc Gavin lost his temper, making his already ugly face more appalling. Qian Jin wondered if kids would have nightmares after seeing such a sight.
“What do you really intend to say?” Marc Gavin feigned a kick in the air, hoping to cast this warrior outside the room. But in the end, it didn’t touch the warrior.
Or else, this warrior would at least end up with hundreds of broken chest bones, if hit by this unthinkably heavy kick. Qian Jin figured.
“Yuen Philip, you. Speak or get out.” Marc Gavin patted Qian Jin on his back as if beating a war drum. “You can feel free to say anything in front of this guy in the future. He will be your next leader when I feel tired and retire.”
“What?”
Qian Jin shouted out of surprise. So did the warrior who stood across from Marc Gavin.
Generally, the president of an organization would be nominated from the several vice presidents and then reported to the Central Union. After it was decided, the name of the new president would be sent to the Central Union again for registration.
Of course, in case the local unions were weak, the Central Union would dispatch a strong warrior to take up the post of the president and incorporate all warrior unions in the local area.
There were a number of local warrior unions in the Zence Empire formed by native warriors spontaneously, which corresponded to all arrangements of the Central Union in name only. In fact, they just followed the ordinances made by the Central Union during war times.
Each time a local warrior union went into decline, the Central Union would appoint a person to take over such union. With time elapsing, to maintain its integrity, and to render more financial allocations, all local warrior unions had begun enhancing their strength, to avoid intervention by the Central Union.
Yuen Philip looked at Marc Gavin with great curiosity, wondering what had happened to their president over the past days. Wasn’t the Torrent Battle Fort turbulent enough? The post of the presidency was one and only, but vice presidents weren’t limited.
Whenever a vice president felt it impossible to succeed the presidency, he would pull endless wires to get in touch with the Central Union to win its support in his taking over of power, failing which he would be appointed the deacon’s post in the Holy Capital’s Central Union. Such had been the frequently played drama in any union.
The Torrent Battle Fort was of no exception. Presently there were in all five vice presidents coveting the president’s post inside the Fort.
Appoint Qian Jin as the president? Yuen Philip wondered whether Marc Gavin hadn’t sobered up. Should any of the five vice presidents were nominated as the president, the other four presidents would at least feel it justified. But the groundless Qian Jin?
Yuen Philip believed that in at most several days, Qian Jin would be superseded by the alliance of a vice president and the Central Union.
“No need to doubt it, this boy is my successor.” Marc Gavin looked at Qian Jin with a smile. “Boy, it will be heavy work for you to manage these idiots.”
The strength of a battle fort. For this moment being, Qian Jin felt dizzy as if a meat bun had fallen off on his head. The boon Marc Gavin brought on Qian Jin was really indescribable.
“So…”Yuen Philip uttered a long sigh. “Dear leader, the Ray Family has dispatched a delegation of people to our fort. They are now waiting in the front yard.”
“The Ray Family?” Marc Gavin felt bemused for a second. “Several days ago those stupid donkeys just curled up at home after being hit heavily. What’s wrong with them today? Does their skin itch? Are they looking to be whipped?”
“I’m afraid things aren’t this easy…” Yuen Philip looked despondent. “The Ray Family isn’t by themselves this time. Ray Guamin, Ray Summon’s brother, vice president of the Blacksmith Union, has also come.”
Marc Gavin tapped on the bed hard, making the bed board bounce up high. “The Ray Family has eventually succeeded in persuading the Blacksmith Union. I’m going to see them right now.”
“Dear president…” Yuen Philip pointed at Qian Jin awkwardly, “They ask you to bring Qian Jin there.”
“Me?” A surprised look flashed by Qian Jin’s face. After all, the conflict between the Torrent Battle Fort and the Ray Family was brought about by him. Or in other words, it was all contributed to Rayen, someone who felt thirsty to flirt with Rosella each time they met. Well, it was unavoidable for him to have this inclination.
