Chapter 438: The Center of the Spotlight

Inside the hall, the party had stopped, as people were chatting with each other over this interesting birthday party, wondering curiously what would happen next. On hearing the dying down of the forging sound, they turned their eyes to the entrance of the hall.

Yunxing Huisheng walked back to the hall with Qian Jin shoulder to shoulder, while the Junyang Sword was carried in his hand had completely cast off the original resplendent luster. He then lifted his fingers and waved at Ray Guamin.

“Master…”

Seeing the intimacy between his master and Qian Jin Ray Guamin felt something bad by instinct, so he walked toward Yunxing Huisheng in a highly docile manner.

“Guamin.” Yunxing Huisheng pointed to Qian Jin, “You need to learn more from President Qian Jin in the future and follow his orders strictly.”

“President Qian Jin?” Ray Guamin looked Qian Jin up and down in confusion. What union was he in charge of? Why did the master look so intimate with him? Well, things seemed terrible.

President? Marc Gavin blinked several times. Why had Master Yunxing started calling Qian Jin President before he handed over the Torrent Battle Fort to this boy? Was he insinuating that I should have him succeed the presidency as early as possible?

“Right. President Qian Jin.” Yunxing Huisheng suddenly raised his voice and looked at the guests on the party. “I’d like to announce one thing on the very day of the mayor’s birthday. From this moment on, Qian Jin will be the President of the Yulee Blacksmith Union.”

“What?”

“How come?”

“How could this be?”

The guests present at the party looked at each other speechlessly, wondering how could Qian Jin be chosen to become the president of the Blacksmith Union after a short round of forging in the backyard with Yunxing Huisheng? Shouldn’t the president’s seat be passed down to the aged hoary-haired blacksmith? But how old was Qian Jin?

One of the greatest forces in Yulee was now bearing the name of Qian? Ray Guamin felt like he was just hit by lightning as this piece of news was too ridiculous to be believed.

What the F**k?! York Leigh nearly blurted out the foul words. Who was the leading role tonight? It was me, as it’s my birthday party! Where on earth did all these interceptors come from? How could Qian Jin become the center of the spotlight by putting on the drama within such a short amount of time?

Alright. The center of the spotlight was the four beauties at the very beginning. Next, with the speech of mayor York Leigh, the appearance of Yunxing Huisheng, president of the Blacksmith Union, the catalyzing effect of the Junyang Sword, and the shocking news announced by Master Yunxing, Qian Jin turned into the sole leading role of the party, while all the other people were pushed aside as the supporting characters.

“It was fortunate that I had shown my support for Qian Jin, who was now promised the president’s seat of the Yulee Blacksmith Union.” On the point of thinking about this, York Leigh felt slightly relieved.

What? Why? How? York Nord couldn’t understand why everything he desired for had gone to Qian Jin. Rosella, the other three otherworldly beauties, his father’s support, and… Master Yunxing Huisheng announced the passing down of the president’s seat of the Yulee Blacksmith Union to Qian Jin! By doing so this guy would become the leader of multiple major forces in Yulee City.

Impossible. It must be a nightmare. Ray Guamin shook his head hard. “For all the surreptitious wires I have pulled my master out here, I’ve only had one goal, that is, to beat Qian Jin and expel him out of Yulee City. How could my master pass down the president’s seat to him? It’s a post belonging to me!” Ray Guamin thought to himself.

“Dear Master!” Ray Guamin couldn’t suppress the surging anger in his bosom, and released a screech, “What has happened to you? What has gone wrong with you? Have you been threatened by Qian Jin? Has he used some evil spells on you which makes you out of sense?”

Qian Jin looked at Ray Guamin calmly. For everything this person had done, he was trying to take the revenge on Qian Jin. However, the odds of success were overturned by his master at the crucial point. In this case, no one could remain calm.

“Guamin.”

With a frustrated face, Ray Zhen stopped Ray Guamin’s roar, as it made no use screeching at all. Theoretically, Yunxing Huisheng needed to report to the Central Union. However, due to the fact that this Forge Grandmaster enjoyed too high a reputation in the blacksmith’s circle in Yulee State, no opposition would be sent by the Central Union upon the selection of Yulee Blacksmith Union. He was even empowered to decide on the president’s seat for other blacksmith unions in the Yulee Region with just one simple announcement.

Ray Guamin looked at Yunxing Huisheng in an aggrieved and lamenting way. To succeed the president’s seat, he had been acting meticulously and attending to his master’s life over the years. But now, all his efforts proved null and void.

“Guamin.” Yunxing Huisheng patted Ray Guamin on the shoulder, shook his head slightly and uttered a sigh. “The union won’t have further development with your leadership. Just focus on forging, since you have great potential in this aspect. For any questions in forging, you can feel free to ask me or President Qian Jin.”

Ray Guamin closed his eyes slowly and put on a look of despair. Then he forced the following words from his teeth, “I, don’t accept this result. Qian Jin has no ground in the union, so no one will listen to him. You will feel repentant for your choice, as I’m in fact the best candidate for assuming the presidency.”

Yunxing Huisheng released a nonchalant smile. Pushing aside his fame in the entire blacksmith circle. Should any member of the Blacksmith Union refuse to obey Qian Jin, the other vice presidents would show support for him as long as they were aware of his forging skills.

The law in all circles in this world, including the blacksmith circle, the warrior circle, and all other circles, was actually the same. Having seen much of this world, Yunxing Huisheng was way too clear that anyone with true strength would sooner or later stand out in his field.

The current president of Central Blacksmith Union was the grandest blacksmith in the Zence Empire, who devoted most of his time in forging and had less care for the affairs of the union. However, as soon as he issued an order, the entire union would carry it out strictly and faithfully.

Everybody was clear that for further existence and development, any union needed the support from some strong backgrounds.

“With my leadership, the Yulee Blacksmith Union might continue its prevalence for a certain period of time. However…” Yunxing Huisheng shifted his eyes to Qian Jin, “It couldn’t develop further with my incumbency. So it’s time to give up the seat. Qian Jin is the only one who could take Yulee Blacksmith Union to a higher ranking, or even…”

A look of craziness showed on Yunxing Huisheng’s composed face, and his voice was raised gradually, “surpass the Central Union!”

While coming close to Ray Zhen, Ray Guamin cast a look back at the master he had served for years and then shook his head for not being handed the president’s seat by this old man. To Ray Guamin, his master had really gone insane in dreaming about surpassing the Central Union.

“Qian Jin, here you are.” Yunxing Huisheng untied an iron hammer of the thumb size from his waist and handed it to Qian Jin. “Come to the Union with this.”

The surrounding guests looked at Qian Jin in great shock. After few seconds of deafening silence, the party turned boisterous again with the knowledge that this was the best time for establishing a relationship with this newly appointed president.

“Congratulations, President Qian.”

“President Yunxing, you are really insightful to have decided on Qian Jin to succeed the president’s seat. I’m sure that with his wise leadership, Yulee Blacksmith Union will be ever strengthened in the future.”

“Hello, President Qian, do you still remember me? We met at the auction last time.”

“Isn’t this the wife of President Qian? I’m vice president of Cormier Business Association. I have long heard that the Roll Family has a business genius. On seeing you today, I feel deeply moved. I hope that we could have the opportunities for cooperation in the future.”

Merchants who failed to come close to Qian Jin hurriedly sought chances of cooperation with Rosella. Were it not for the fear for Gomez Jane’s flying knife, these people could have behaved more ingratiating.

At the congratulation from the guests flooding in from all directions, Qian Jin felt for the first time in his life how strong the influence that the rich and the powerful could impose on the public.

Damn! Looking at Qian Jin and Yunxing Huisheng standing on the staircase, Marc Gavin couldn’t stop stamping on the ground. How could this old blacksmith announce that Qian Jin was the president of Blacksmith Union before I made public his succeeding of the presidency of the Torrent Battle Fort!

“Alas? Why should I be feeling worried? I should feel happy for this!” Marc Gavin patted on the back of his head. What was the identity of Qian Jin? A warrior of the Torrent Battle Fort and the next leader of the fort. If he became the president of the Yulee Blacksmith Union at the same time, he would be able to back up the Torrent Battle Fort in the future!

“Wow, that makes sense.” Marc Gavin grasped a bottle of red wine, poured it into his mouth and mumbled, “I should feel elated, as the Torrent Battle Fort no longer needs to bow to the Blacksmith Union. Qian Jin is the general leader of it ever after all!”

Well… this… seeing the guests invited by him eagerly paying addresses to Qian Jin one by another, York Leigh felt a little helpless and wondered whether tonight’s party was held to celebrate his birthday or the inauguration of Qian Jin.

“Mayor, what a nice shot.” Lenz Zarf moved to York Leigh without the latter’s notice and made a toast with the glass of wine grasped in hand. “You have made a really wonderful speech. Qian Jin won’t forget it, nor would the guests”

York Leigh took half a glass of red wine and felt much more elated than before. “It seems that my stake on the gamble had started to take effect.” He thought.

“However…” Lenz Zarf looked through Gomez Jane and the other three beauties in bewilderment, “If you happen to have a pretty daughter who is married to Qian Jin ahead of them…”

York Leigh drunk up the remaining red wine in his glass and took a meaningful look at Lenz Zarf. “Well, the issue is that I only had two sons, among whom the stupid Nord only causes trouble.” York Leigh thought to himself.
