Chapter 27: Are my clothes with you? (1/2)

Yi Yi is her nickname. Except for her family, no one else knows her nickname. So how did he know? Xu Sui’s heartbeat continued to accelerate, and she clicked into the chatbox:

【How do you know my nickname?】

After five minutes, ZJZ replied in a casual tone: 【Now you’re willing to use your phone?】

Xu Sui didn’t know what to say, so she sent an emoji of a cat pinching a face. This time, Zhou Jingze didn’t reply for a long time. Xu Sui thought that he was too busy to read the message or he was too lazy to answer the question.

Before heading to bed, Xu Sui’s phone next to her pillow lit up. Zhou Jingze sent her a voice message. Xu Sui plugged in her earbuds and played the message. He seemed to speak in a breath, with a lazy smile:

【After being blocked, I called you using a different number, and your grandma picked up.】

Xu Sui came to understand, but before she could react, Zhou Jingze sent a message:

【Your name sounds quite nice.】

Across the screen, Xu Sui didn’t know whether the tone of the text message sent by Zhou Jingze was serious or a casual compliment. Yet, she was still very happy.

——

On Sunday, during the day of the Beihang University Basketball League, Hu Xixi got up early and opened the closet. She took out each skirt and tried on the clothes in front of a mirror.

Xu Sui got up and stood in front of the sink to brush her teeth. She took a mouthful of water and spit it out. She was brushing her teeth with her head down. Hu Xixi ran over, grabbing the hem of her skirt, and asked: “Baby, what do you think about this one?”

With the mint-flavored foam in her mouth, Xu Sui said faintly: “It’s okay.”

Hu Xixi automatically understood this as “not pretty enough,” so she ran back to the wardrobe to try on more clothes. When Xu Sui turned on the faucet, trying to wash the cup, she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her lower abdomen. She couldn’t help but bend over and press her abdomen. Hu Xixi suddenly called her from outside.

Xu Sui paused for a while and replied: “Coming.”

As soon as she went out, Hu Xixi finished putting on a little black dress and a beret, looking foreign and beautiful. Xu Sui sincerely praised her: “Looks really nice.”

Xu Sui wore a simple beige embroidered shirt tucked in her light blue jeans. When she was combing her hair in front of the mirror, Hu Xixi scanned her up and down and said: “Baby, why don’t you dress up in a skirt?”

“Huh?” Xu Sui was tying her hair into a bun.

“My second uncle ah, isn’t he participating in the game?” Hu Xixi winked at her.

Xu Sui reacted and immediately stretched out her hand to tickle her, pretending to be angry: “Look at you; who told your uncle that I wanted to watch a basketball game. It was obviously you.”

“I was wrong, I was wrong. My good Sui Sui, It was because I couldn’t get a ticket,” Hu Xixi immediately begged for mercy.

Only then did Xu Sui let go of her, and when she lowered her head to tie her hair again, she looked at herself in the mirror. She had a black pupil and a small mole on her pretty nose. Her small face was all clean and fresh.

It’s probably better not to dress up, or else she’d appear too deliberate.

Xu Sui and Hu Xixi went to the cafeteria for breakfast and then headed to the campus ground of Beihang University. They entered from the north gate with their tickets.

As soon as they entered the university, they were greeted with an aircraft from the early J-5 series located in the center ground.

The white fuselage was a bit old, with paint peeling off, and there are still the marks of the bullet casings.

Even on weekends, there were still people wearing gray-green training uniforms on the training ground, insisting on physical training. Xu Sui was watching the group before she was dragged away by Hu Xixi.

“Don’t look lah. Let’s go to the basketball court and find a seat before there’s none later,” Hu Xixi said excitedly.

They were fifteen minutes early and had just taken their seats. Hu Xixi couldn’t hold back and looked for Lu Wenbai’s figure everywhere. Xu Sui sat beside her and looked at her phone. Zhou Jingze suddenly sent her a message:

【Are you here?】

When Xu Sui was about to reply, one of the girls from the back seat, who kept shouting “pass” “pass,” accidentally bumped her elbow hard.

Xu Sui’s phone flew out of her hand. She bent over to pick it up, and the girl apologized to her: “I’m sorry, are you okay?”

“I’m okay,” Xu Sui nodded her head.

At this time, basketball players from each team entered the court one after another. Xu Sui raised her eyes and looked over. Among the group of tall boys, she was surprised that Zhou Jingze wasn’t there.

Xu Sui replied to Zhou Jingze: 【Came here with Xixi, but how come I don’t see you?】

Two minutes after the message was sent, Xu Sui’s phone made a ”ding” sound. She turned on the screen, and it was a message from ZJZ:

【Look up.】

Xu Sui raised her head, and simultaneously, the audience made a commotion. There was a burst of screams and applause, and the girls around her were discussing excitedly:

【Damn, Zhou Jingze came out.】

【Ahh, so handsome! It was worth it to come all the way here.】

Xu Sui listened to the group discussions. Not far away, Zhou Jingze appeared with several boys. As soon as he came out, the cheers and applause became significantly louder.

Amongst the boys, Zhou Jingze stood out. He was a little bit taller than the rest, wearing a red and white jersey. He walked slowly with his pockets in his pocket; the red wrist guards on his hands were apparent.

When Zhou Jingze paused, the boys on the opposing team immediately looked over. The game has yet to start, and the rivalry was evident.

Unfortunately, Zhou Jingze didn’t take them seriously in his eyes at all. His thin eyelids were half opened, and his arrogance was clear.

Suddenly, Zhou Jingze lowered his head and picked up his black jacket. He walked straight towards the opposite side, passing by a group of six to seven boys. One of the boys, who was talking, subconsciously took a step back and looked up at Zhou Jingze, his eyes alert.

Zhou Jingze raised his thin lips and patted him on the shoulder: “Don’t be nervous.”

After he left, the boys behind him started getting into a conflict, and some yelled at him: “F***, are you f******* cowardly?”

“But this kid is also insane; later will torture him.”

Xu Sui sat in the stadium, and her gaze followed Zhou Jingze onto the basketball court. Hu Xixi, who originally sat beside her, had long disappeared. She probably saw Lu Wenbai and went looking for him.

Cheerleaders were putting up banners in the stadium, and the sound of the referee whistle mixed with the sound recorded by the broadcast inspection made the occasion very noisy. Xu Sui sat with the rest of the audience and was looking at Zhou Jingze. He had his head lowered and took out his phone. After replying to some messages, he held a lighter and a cigarette in his hand, heading to the sports equipment room.

A cigarette addict supposedly.

Xu Sui looked at the people under the stadium seats boredly and saw Zhou Jingze heading back. Suddenly, he raised his eyelids and looked towards the audience; his eyes passing over the crowd. Their gaze met in mid-air, and his eyes locked onto Xu Sui’s eyes. She panicked for a moment, and he smiled. With one hand in his pocket and the other holding a jacket, he walked towards the stadium seats. The restlessness around her made Xu Sui nervous.

【Ah, ahh, is he looking at me? 】

【He’s heading over here! Help, baby, is my lipstick alright? 】

In front of everyone’s gaze, Zhou Jingze went straight up the steps of the stadium and came to the third row. Under the expectant and eager eyes of the girls, he walked at a slow pace, passing by the rows of striking, attractive girls, and stood in front of Xu Sui.
