Gren woke up.

"This ship isn't so bad after all."

-I should probably shush. Everybody seems to be sleeping.
Gren opened the door leading to the captains room.

"On a much clearer look, it looks nice." There was a nice carpet, a desk, two chairs...
As he looked out through the window, he said "Weren't we docked somewhere?"
Gren stepped outside.

We were in the middle of the ocean. The not so mature yet boy was caught surprised.
"Strange, the party probably pulled a trick on me."

"Anyway, the galleon sure looks nice... What is that?"
"What is up?" A little boy... No, he looked short rather than little. His hair didn't have a specific color, kind of. Nor did his eyes.
"... Who are you?"

The short boy, who was flying, looked slightly upset. Slightly.
"Hoyloi! Make sure to remember that, Gren!"
"What do you want from me?"
"How does it feel to become one of the cool ones?"
"Cool ones? Are you calling me cool? I don't think that being lost in this sea is any cool."
"It's just a dream, it doesn't have much to do with you."
It's a dream?

"A dream?" Gren immediately counted his fingers. One, two, three, four, five... six..?
-I have an extra finger on my hand...
"Yeah.. It is. I must be in Theatlus, not here."
"Stop it, idiot, you're gonna wake up if you think about where you really are!"
"True. It would be a waste to let go of this one. Anyway, I guess that it is farewell now."
The boy, the one with strange hair colors, extended his arm and grabbed Gren.

"Hey! I still have some things to talk with you!"
-This kid is annoying.
"Ah!! I'm on fire!? Why does it work?"

Gren used the opportunity to fly away. But suddenly, he hit a barrier.
"Ow! What's with that?"
"I am not letting you go!"
Hoyloi once again tried to grab Gren, but everything suddenly went dark.

Gren woke up in a room which looked strangely similar to the captains room in the dream.
"Damn that little shit..."
--I shouldn't shout. Anyway, is this lightning?

Gren was picking up noises, again, very similar to the ones which hit the bridge his train was on earlier.

"They reached Theatlus already?"
Gren took his new black cloak and put it on.
-It feels nice to wear it. I already paid the stay for the night, but it sure is unfortunate that I also paid for a breakfast I won't get..

Gren opened the window. The wind was cold.
Theatlus... You could see the library tower from here.
After looking down, Gren told himself "Well, it is just the first floor, so it won't hurt."
Grens room was in the corner of the building, so after quickly going around the rather wide building...
--Smoke.. That is a lot of it.. too much.
After scanning the road, of little rocks, for people, making sure there isn't anybody, Gren boosted himself on a roof of a house, a house on the taller side.

"Seems like it isn't too well over there. That is a lot of fire."

--I always thought that the rebels in Perera crumbling... But it seems like it is otherwise.

Gren felt like intervening. He wasn't that strong, but also...
-No one of the military knows me, so I'll certainly be a targeted by both sides.

He realised another thing...
---- If there are refugees... Wouldn't that mean that my ride would be delayed since Waist is super unimportant? Wait, no.. The ride for Kanto would probably let people drop in Waist if there was somebody who wanted to..

Gren immediately jumped to the ground, again. Of course, he was sprinting for the closest train station.

A few minutes later, finally arriving...

"Hey you! Halt!" That man sure was scary.
"You're here for a ride? Or are you one of the rebels?"
"I'm here for a ride. I have a ticket, here it is."
"Waist? Well, I guess that one of the trains will stop by to drop you. Come on, one of the trains for Kanto is prepared to go soon."
"Thanks!"

--Man, they are doing their job right! And I was right, they will drop me!

Here it is. The train. Gren stared at it for a few moments.
"Hey you? Gonna enter or no?" One of the guards, with what seems to be a green tunic called out.
"Oh, I will!" Right after that, he entered.

---Haha... Unlike the ride earlier, this one sure is full!
It took Gren almost a whole minute of walking to find a seat.

This was a relief for Gren.
But it's not like the war is over.

-Luckily for me, I was sitting between two women. Usually, the males wouldn't be the nicest company in rides.
They both had a hood, but Gren still didn't fail to recognise their gender.

The train started. It started with a much higher pace than any starting speed of his many other rides.
That, was another relief.
What if the same happened like earlier though? Gren refused to think about that. He could only hope for the best.

The negative thoughts are strong.
-What if the rebels already occupied the path to Kanto? And to any other major city?
Perera wasn't known for a strong military. When it came to war, it was very well known that encircling them and sabotaging supply lines wasn't enough to stop those hopeless, if it was any other nation, armies.
After all, when Hirom was conquering Perera from Shikinino, some Pereran rebels in Shikinino refused to give up to Shikinino or Hirom for over 30 years.
It's not like Hirom survived to see those 30 years, but it is still very fascinating considering the war record of Hirom. The guy. Not the nation.

Fortunately for Gren, he started to feel sleepy. It was dark after all. The time was probably the middle of the night.
-What if I dream of that annoying kid? I have to stop the what ifs.

Gren decided to fall asleep. It seems like he has experience in dreams, so he might be fine. Probably.

Gren woke up.

"This ship isn't so bad after all."

-I should probably shush. Everybody seems to be sleeping.
Gren opened the door, again, leading to the captains room.

"On a much clearer look, it looks nice."
As he looked out through the window, again, he said "Weren't we docked somewhere?"
Gren stepped outside.

We were in the middle of the ocean. The not mature yet boy was caught surprised, yet again.
"Strange, the boys probably pulled a trick on me."

"... What is that?" He, once again, noticed something flying.
"Hey! How are you?"
"I am pretty good. What about you?"
"I am too! How does it feel to be special, Gren?"
"I don't really feel very special. What about you? You can fly... No one else can do that."

"Is that so? What are you gonna do?"
"We will go to Shikinino. We are after somebody."
"And after that?"
"I don't know. Maybe I'll come back home for a short break, or something."
"A break? I don't think you'll have one. Hehe."
"What do you mean?"
"You'll see for yourself.. dream expert!"

"... Dream expert... Wait! Oh, damn you. This time, I'll beat you up!"
Gren fainted before he could do anything.

Gren woke up. This time, for real.

--I hate him. I'll show him next time.

"Hey, you! I remember you. You wanted to stop for Waist, right? Come on, get off. We're here."
----Seems like some time passed. It is brighter.
"Thanks, I will."

Gren hurried out.

Seems like we are at the...
Menish, Waist Train Station

It looks very similar to the one in both Theatlus and Nidon.
Made of bricks, and... bricks as a whole. It doesn't really look well made.

--Hold... on. No... no, no no no no no... This can't be! I forgot the... THAT PAPER WITH DETAILS OF THAT GUY!

Gren let out a small "Shit.". I mean, he said shit quitely

Anyway, it seems like Gren forgot the paper from that one woman which possibly includes the location, what he does in the morning....
--Seems like I'll have to figure out everything on my own!

What will Gren do now? Walk around, looking for his target?

-Maybe I could ask some people about him.

Waist looks much less grand than Theatlus. Even Hano looks better.
As Gren was walking around, he noticed that many of the houses had sharp roofs, unlike his town at Hirom, Theatlus and Hano.

There was a house, on a hill, which was larger than normal. You can't call it a mansion, but you can tell it belonged to somebody of the upper class. Not only that, but probably under 5% of the population in Fuhvhavala could afford to even rent the house for a week.

---That must be it!

Gren asked a man, who wasn't badly dressed unlike many of the other people in the crowd, about the house.
"Yes, I am from here. That house? It is the house of a veteran. Why do you ask?"
"That is... because I was curious. I have rarely ever seen houses of that sort... Anyway, thanks, I'll go on with my day, bye."
"Goodbye."

--Well, wasn't that awkward? If I remember correctly, there was also an illustration. He looked... old. grey hair, blue eyes...

Nothing out of the ordinary as a whole.

----But anyway, the lack of information really is a hit on me...
Gren received another hit on him.
He kept repeating "I am stupid!" in his head.
-I could just go to the guild! Or...

He composed himself as he walked.

-I'll just do the job.

Gren decided to walk around to check the path which lead to the house.

•Waist, several minutes later•

You get a nice view of the town from this house.
The house, just like many of the other houses, had a sharp brown roof.
"It perhaps has four floors."

The windows were mostly large. Unlike most of the other houses in Waist, and even the whole world, it, as a whole, looked much more well made and designed.

Gren opted to keep a wide distance from the house. A reasonable decision.
"If I get caught, I am dead for sure."
--Which makes it much more fun.

Looking above, he sees the sun.
Gren checked his pouch.
Well, at least that woman gave him some money in advance. The coins probably round up to 50,000 chesh.

It's not like he was rich, but fifty thousand in your pouch isn't small talk.

As Gren slowly walked away, he heard the doors of the house. They were quite big, he recalls.
Several trees surrounded the house, so he hid behind one.

--He should look old and be somewhat short... that is enough to make me strike him down.

That guy is short, but he doesn't really look old.

-I guess that I could try it.

Gren started jogging towards him.
"Hey!"
The guy stopped walking and looked at Gren.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?" His voice didn't really sound that old either.
"Are you perhaps the commander who now lives here? My name is Khan."
"The commander who now lives here? I wasn't a commander, but regardless, my name is Gian."
"So you weren't a commander?"
The guy, who looked in his thirties rather than fifties, said "Yes. What do you need?"
"Oh, are you in a hurry?" Gren scratched the back of his head.
"No. State your business."
"Well... you are something big to me... I was wondering, where are you going?"
"I am going to a restaurant. Then, I'll take a walk somewhere outside the little town."

--Taking a walk after eating? Perfect.

"Mind if I accompany you?" Gren made a big move.

"No. I won't mind a company."

So they started walking on the dirt path...
