I do not know, nor do I feel, there was screams in the past, but I have since long forgotten why, I remember that this is not life, death? Maybe... it is weird that without a brain one can think, whatever a brain is, I have since long forgotten, I remember that I was human, I have an idea on what a human looks like, but I do not remember my face, I do not remember others, I do not remember... something tells me that I should panic, but I do not know how to, maybe it is something that humans do, I'm sure of it, the only things that I can say I remember clearly is fictional... I think they are fictional... maybe somewhere else they are not fictional, but from where I am, they were.

Stories, stories of giants, of dragons, of monsters, of magic, of creation, of destruction, I simply through time, if time exists here, created my own stories, though I do not remember them, it has been for a long time that I have forgotten boredom, such a concept can be explained with words, but I cannot experience it.

It has been a long time since I have thought, I am right now for the simple fact that I have been told to, I stopped forgetting things, this one has brought me to somewhere where outside forces do not interfere with me. They seem patient, I can feel their gaze on me, but it is not oppressive, but caring, or something close.

I do not know how much time it took me to formulate my thoughts, just that it took a lot of time, like the period between sleep and wake, but much much slower, only then they spoke, in their layered voices, as if a choir.

"You are an interesting case, even if accidental, most people would have forgotten everything by your 'age'." They with their layered voice voiced the air quotes. "apparently your constant thought of stories created a bubble outside your Ego, so large it took a long time to be eroded by the sea of souls. Since you now seem to be completely awake I will tell why I have taken you outside the stream, you have a choice, to be put back in the natural order, your soul will be eroded until only the seed remains and be reincarnated, or to be an agent of Fate."

The choice seemed easy, I did not want to forget, but I stopped, what was an agent of Fate, what did they do, the... I do not know how to explain what was in front of me, so I will not. They could see the question I had. "An agent of Fate is simply a soul given a chosen form and inserted in a corresponding universe, A mission will be given to you by the administrator of the universe you will be in, as long as you work on the mission you can do anything." The answer was simple, and concise, so I tried to give my answer, but I had no mouth, they seemed to understand that, because I could feel all I was move and shift, making my form be that of a blank white with dark fading borders humanoid shape with only a mouth in its face. "There, it should make it easier for me and you, without the mind reading."

"Mind reading?" I asked unconsciously, it seemed that the form I taken had changed my thought processes a bit, though it was welcomed. "Never mind, it should've been obvious, I'm in a weird state of mind right now, though I cannot put a... Absentminded, that, I'm weirdly absentminded, probably because of the sudden change in environment. Regardless, what can I choose, my answer should be obvious." I looked it in the eyes, it had also changed into a humanoid form, possibly to make communication easier.

"I can't tell you, not because of regulations of some or that type of thing, there simply are to many, one could say, infinite, but we can make the possibilities more focused, and I recommend that. Just tell me what would you would like in vague terms and we can make the list smaller." They had at some time took out a list, a big list, like, really big. So I stated thinking, memories barred behind something, and others just missing, but some, accessible, "useless ones" some would say, but important right now.

"There needs to be magic, and some level of immortality, if possible. I do not care if I move or not, or if it is difficult to, something that gives me a lot of choices of what I can do, there is something like that on my head, but I can't put a name to it, the memory is not there, just the description." The list quickly got smaller, but it still was to big for me, I knew I had choice paralysis. "Not something that can only live underwater or lava, that can exist everywhere without any trouble." It came to me.

the list became a piece of a5 paper, and they handed it to me, a 'single' race listed, Magical Core - Various variations possible. I just looked inquisitively to them. "What... why this?"

"Simple, nothing is more hard to destroy, it can move, but it needs external assistance, and they have various variations but not infinite. I would recommend the Primordial dungeon one, many Gods want them as it hastens the evolution of sapient life and also strengthens it. You can also make anything, all you need to do is learn how." I debated the idea, but not for long, it looked interesting, and even if I can't change my choice latter it would still make me have many things to do.

"Yes." I responded simply, they had a... smile? I will call it a smile, and went somewhere to retrieve something, I think... yes, they came back with a... cube, no it looks like a cube, but I move my head and it becomes a tetrahedron, a circle, a ball, a D20, then goes back to a cube, but of a different color, I believe I would explode if I wasn't as I was right now. I looked back at them, and waited, the cube? was shoved into my chest, I didn't feel anything, at all.

"Weird... you might have forgotten what pain feels like..." They were equally confused at it, but their explanation made sense, I did not remember pain, I remember the definition, just not the sensation, well, I at least don't have to feel whatever hell waited me for this sudden invading.

"Well, is there already somewhere for me to go?" I was somewhat excited at the possibilities, having many ideas already.

"Yes, there is always someone wanting a primordial dungeon, and not that many, hard to cultivate, the seed you have in you is a recycled one, from someone who chose retirement. Good guy, might have left you something in it to get you started." I nodded, and they did some flourishes with their hand, and a portal appeared. "Just go through that, the other side will choose where you will appear, just don't cause chaos and everything will be fine, they are a repeat customer of ours." The other side of the portal was obscured by light, but I still went through.

I had not noticed at the time, but some lost memories were getting back to me, being reconstructed from the others. I wanted to thank the previous one, because that did not came from the agency.

And I did not know, my 10000 years of service had begun.
