They drove to town to the seamstress. Hayle waited outside while Carrie was trying on the dress. Two women came into the shop. Tall blonde and brunette. Hayle recognised them as one of the women the blond used to date Alex. She remembered her from way back when Alex used to bring her to the restaurant she worked at. Seeing her was weird but she didn't think anything of it until she overheard their conversation.
- Isn't Carrie getting married in a couple of days Sandra?
- Yeah to Tom Cross, Alex's brother. Are you invited to the wedding Tru?
- No, unfortunately I'm not. The biggest event in this town and I can't go. Please make sure you tell me everything as Alex plus one I'm sure you get to be in the middle of it all - the brunette laughed and the blonde who just shrugged her shoulders.
- Alex and I will have better things to do then gossip darling - she laughed and the two women left the store.
Hayle felt all the blood running out of her face. At first she couldn't make sense of the conversation. Then she slowly started to pierce the parts together. Alex wasn't honest with her. He had someone all this time and he didn't say anything. She felt hurt, played and confused, but she also felt a bit of relief which she found weird. She should be going after them and demanding an explanation, but she didn't feel the urge to do that. Instead she waited for Carrie to appear as calm as a cucumber once she had come out of the dressing room. Carrie looked like an angel in her wedding dress. It was a princess dress which fitted her just as well.
- You look absolutely beautiful sis - she said and got up to take a look at the back of the dress. Carrie couldn't have picked a better dress.
- Thanks Hayle - she and she hugged her. - Not just for this for everything. - Hayle hugged her back. The fact that her sister came to her in the time of need meant her a lot. She wasn't always there for her and to see that she still considers her, her best friend was pretty amazing. She was grateful that she was invited to her wedding.
- Nothing to be thanful for you're my sister I want what's the best for you - she whispered. Letting her sister go to change, she thought about her life.
It was a good life, but she missed something in Nashville, coming back home made her realise where she belonged. She wanted to be closer to her family, maybe she can make up for the lost times. The only problem now was Alex again. The fact that the man has lied to her shook her, but not nearly as much as she would have thought. She can't be with him and she doesn't trust him at all. Not just because of the other woman, the man has never once said that he loves her, he wants her, yes, but that is all. She wanted a lot more than that and she won't settle for less. If she moves back it won't be because of the man and she needs to put a stop to what is happening between them now. The wedding is in two days, she just needs to avoid him for that long and she can go back to Nashville to think and be away from him.
Carrie and her got home and stashed the dress in Carrie's room. She thought about what would be the best way to avoid Alex the next couple of days and then she figured it out. She went upstairs to Carrie's room to talk to her.
- How are you feeling? - she asked her.
- Good, you helped a lot - she said smiling.
- Good since I just thought about what we had forgotten.
- Yeah? What is it? - she asked, sitting down on her bed.
- We have never thrown you a bachelorette party - Hayle said. Carrie laughed.

- I had an engagement party - she said.
- Yeah I know a mellow one of that If i might have add - Hayle said smiling. - The one I'm thinking about is a bit more wild and kind of like a send off into married life. Just you and me we will go to Nashville, have some fun, talk and we will be back in two days.We get to spend some time together Tom will have you for the rest of your life. What do you say? - Carrie looked at her sister, she knew something was wrong with her. For days she was happy and carefree just like she was before, she assumed that the reason was Alex. Now she seemed tensed up and bothered which again suggests that it was because of Alex, but she needed her and she wasn't planning to let her down.
- I'm in. Let's do it!
- Yeah?
- Yeah why not. Everything is sorted now and I want to spend some time with you - she said and she hugged her. Hayle knew that she only agreed because she knew something was up, but she didn't care she needed the distraction.
- Then let's go, I'll drive!- Hayle said and she pulled her sister off her bed.
- Wait a minute Rambo. I'll need to tell Tom and I need to pack some clothes - she laughed.
- You can tell him on the phone and we don't need clothes. I have plenty for the both of us - she said. Carrie didn't want to argue.
- Fine - she said laughing and left her room with Hayle. Told their parents that they will leave for a few days, they got into their mother's car. Hayle was excited, and felt a bit of a shame for leaving instead of facing Alex, but she had no other ideas how to avoid him. He was everywhere and chemistry between them would stir her into the wrong direction again, letting him into her life might have been the biggest mistake she could have made, but it was a mistake she had to make. She put the key to the ignition and started the car.
- Nashville here we come - she said, looked at her sister smiling and sped off from the estate. Escaping reality again.
