After a rough ride down the mountain Yue and his entourage stepped into the outskirts of G.
His house was just a 4 hours drive through the city. But since the cities harbours thousand of zombies they had to take a detour.
Yue peered at the abandoned roadways of the villages and towns with a small frown. The trees and the plants had already overtaken some parts of the village spreading their beautiful green leaves everywhere.
"tian mark this place as dangerous,"
She glanced back from the passenger seat. "why? Is there a baby zombie here as well?"
"no, but this place is bound to get very dangerous in a few days,"
"the plants right," Juda nudged him. "so you read the book... its unbelievable at first but as you see the day to day happenings you will start too believe each and word."
"I have too praise the author though. Either this person had a very vivid imagination. or this person knew the future events. Anyways this person decided to share it with us. Somehow helping us survive as well," Lui whispered from the driver's seat.
Yue did not answer. It was he who wrote the book, how did not even have too read it too know its content. But being talked about so proudly made his cheeks heat up in embarrassment.
As the passed though a smaller roadway Yue glanced out the window enjoying the small peace that they had before the storm.
"wait, stop the car," Juda shouted starling him.
"what happened?"
Juda smiled weirdly. "bakbak needs to pee...." she whispered holding up the white chicken.
"Juda! A chicken does not pee!" Lui shouted from up front.
"fine he wanted too poo," Juda corrected herself.
Tian growled loudly. "just catch it with a tissue or something,"
"nice idea, Yue quick give me a tissue,"
"a minute," Yue scrambled too his bag that he stored behind them and took out a roll of tissue. He tore a small part and tore it into even smaller part and handed her it.
The tissue sadly was so think that her fingers were seen though.
Juda narrowed her eyes. "Yue..... give me the roll...."
"no,
He hid it behind. "I need it"
"for what?"
"toilet,"
Juda snapped all of a sudden. She jumped over him and plucked it out off his hands. "use water to wash your cute bum,"
"NO!! I don't like my underwear getting wet!" he rolled over trying too get it off her hand.
"stop I'll use only a little,"
"no... give it here,"
The car started too shake violently from all their struggles.
Lui sighed loudly. "You are not going too stop them?"
Tian shrugged. "let them settle it with a fight, its healthy,"
"no its not....." Lui was completely defeated. The two in the beck seat were childishly fighting for toilet paper. One in the front was happily humming a song. Weirdly so it felt like a dysfunctional family.
"heyy hey both of you!!!" she shouted.
They both paused. The toilet roll had unwounded and covered them from head to toe. "Juda go out and walk you fucking chicken. And you, you can wipe your wet ass in a towel!"
"oh.... right," Yue nodded.
Juda happily smirked. "ohh my bakbak is getting her first walk,"
"Why name her bakbak, it doesn't even make sense,"
Juda shoved the chicken to his face.
It plucked his nose with an angry cluck.
"See she just said bakbak, so I named her that." She proudly. Yue rolled his eyes. Somehow his sight landed on the dark figure under his car seat. "what did you name her?"
"Blackie,"
"Very creative,"
"Lui, he is dissing me,"
Lui did not even bother to respond to their banter. She continued driving the car slowly down the dusty road.
"Lui are you ignoring me... oh my god, what happened too our lifelong friendship," she cried dramatically.
Tian glanced back without a word.
Juda instantly hugged her neck. "tian, she is ignoring me,"
"let go..."
"no I won't, even you are ignoring me," she whined cutely.
Tian became flustered a lot. Unknown to her, her heart started to pound. "take your chicken and get out. For goddess sake. Did you forget that it wants to poo,"
Juda froze. Suddenly she could feel a warm sensation on her lap. The chicken.... it had pooed on her lap and was happily sitting nearby.
"augh.... its.... I have poo on me," she pitifully whispered.
Yue Tian and Lui laughed together at this fiasco.
At times like this Yue completely forgot that they were in a dangerous world. It felt freeing and happy.
Yue touched his chest. 'this feeling is what I missed in my past life. The feeling of having friends, family...feeling of having someone to rely on,'
"meow...." little blackie jumped onto his lap nuzzling against his stomach.
Juda gently caressed its fur. "you can poo on his lap if you want,"
"hey! Don't teach her bad things,"
Juda playfully put out her tongue and went about cleaning her clothes.
Yue Smiled softly. "what are we having for breakfast?"
"rice.... I'm fed up of rice at this point," Lui mumbled softly.
"why don't we eat something else,"
Before Yue could even suggest anything tian glanced back at the chicken in Juda's lap.
"no one is eating bakbak, end of story,"
"fine...."
Yue looked out too his surprise he saw something that everyone could eat. "corn!!"
"where where?" Juda excitedly looked out. The entire field was actually a corn maze. "oh thank lord we have something other than rice too eat,"
They all ran down and plucked it off the plant. The corn was ripe and ready too eat.
"you know what this calls for?" Lui looked at Juda.
"campfire!!!!!"
And so they enjoyed a peaceful campfire nearby the road.
Yue kept the flame to a minimum as to not attract any zombies or humans.
"here," tian gave him a golden colour that was perfectly roasted on all sides.
"thanks,"
She smiled back at him.
"tian~ I want it roasted to..." Juda leaned her head on her shoulders whining loudly.
"roast your own,"
"no,, roast it for me...."
Reluctantly tian roasted a corn for her.
Chewing on it Juda slightly winked at Lui.
Lui understood it without a word "ah looks like our fire is about too go out. Yue why don't we go fetch some firewood,"
Yue blinked. "we can use the husks...."
"no we need more than just husks. Don't we.." she aggressively winked at him.
"oh-kay... lets go,"
Somehow he could not under stand why she wanted too walk around.
Right after they left Juda glanced at Tian who was silently roasting a corn. Taking a deep breath she kissed her cheeks.
Tian flinched touching her cheeks.
Juda peered at her waiting for a reaction. When none came by she took the chance too kiss her once again, but this time on the lips.
Tenderly she moved her lips over hers.
Tian silently peered at her without blinking.
"tian....." Juda pushed her down and continued kissing her soft lips.
"hey..." tian grabbed her chin pulling her lips away from her. "what do you thank you are doing?"
"kissing you..." Juda pushed her hands away and bit into her neck.
"ahh...."
Wordlessly Juda paced her head on her chest feeling her racing heartbeat. "its like a drum..."
"stop," tian pushed her away.
"why?"
Tian rolled over pushing her down forcefully. "do you even realise what you are doing? I am not my brother,"
"I know,"
"then why?" Tian was obviously confused. "you claimed too like my brother." Her anticipating eyes peered at her for answers.
"I did, now I like you."
Tian face instantly fell. She rolled off her and sat down near the fire. "oh,"
"oh? That's all you're going to say. you have to say I like you back tian," she sweetly whispered
Tian just simply looked at her. "one day you claim you love my brother the next you say you like me, are you playing with me? How can I even take you seriously?"
Juda sat up. "what can I do too prove it too you,"
Tian scoffed. "nothing," she glanced at her intensely. "we will never work out. You take your hopes and burn it along with this flame," she stood up and sat on the other side of the fire.
By the time Yue came back things became even more awkward. One side, Juda sat hugging her knees. She looked to be on the verge of tears.
On the opposite side of the campfire sat tian with her jaws clenched.
'what happened?' he walked close too Tian to ask but Lui grabbed his hand and gestured for him not too talk.
Yue confusedly sat opposite them. 'did they fight about something? But what could make Juda so sad and tiiann so...'
He did not understand his sisters reaction at all.
Was it anger or frustration?
He did not know.
Suddenly the peaceful skies were filled with flights of birds fleeing away.
Yue stood up looking at it in shock. 'what spooked them? Was it another evolved zombie?'
Right then a loud sound was heard nearby. everyone sat up vigilantly.
The skies were on fire. Fighter flights were bombing the parts of the city.
The seriousness that the world ended came to hiss mind right then.
