Qian Wen sat up on the sofa busy tying his shoelaces.
"You leaving so soon?" his lover sprawled on the floor under the small ray of sunlight. His small black tail wiggled around cheerfully and his cat ears were flat in contentment.
"Hmm.. I'm going to check in on my sister's friends," he mumbled softly.
"Sister? Which sister," Peng Peng sat up cautiously glaring at him. "is it a sexy sister? When did you get a sister?"
Qian grimaced. "ew no. she is my real sister. Biological,"
Peng Peng's ears twitched curiously. "' you have a sister? Who is that? Why didn't I know of this?"
"I just got to know of this just a few days ago," Qian smiled at him softly.
"Oh so that's why you have been sulking like a kicked puppy all week,"
He got up, lazily stretched, and sat on the sofa next to him. He sat back, leaning on his lover's back. "So who is it? Spill the tea dearest,"
"It's Tian," Qian kissed the top of his head.
"huh! Huh!!!! What! Oh my god! What!" Peng Peng pranced around. "Okay wait, let me process this information. Tian, as in Tian Ai, the Zou family's new daughter is your sister?"
"yes,"
"Zou Nui's biological daughter is your sister?!"
"yes," Qian calmly glanced up at him.
Peng Peng blinked. "That's some family drama I didn't expect. Tian's your same age, right?"
"She had Tian before her marriage."
"ohhh that explains a lot," Peng Peng sat next to him, hugging his neck softly. "Are you okay?"
Qian hugged him back, nuzzling against the crook of his neck. "Truth be honest.... I'm not okay. I don't want to face my father any longer. I just don't... he has lost all the respect,"
Peng Peng slightly slapped his forehead. "Hey, did you even get the full story? I mean pregnancy doesn't happen just like that? There must be a reason your father and Yue's mum had Tian. Did you even let your father explain?"
"I didn't want to hear it. I fear if I do.. I might completely hate him," he whispered ever so softly.
Peng Peng kissed his pink forehead. "Qian, let him talk. Hear him out a bit before getting anger. There might be some interesting story behind Tian's birth,"
"Then what about Yue? my dad lost contact with their family at that time when yue is born. then how can you explain it."
He froze. "Huh what now? Yue? Yue' birth? Wait you are saying..."
"Yue's my brother. My biological brother. I got a strand of his hair and tested it... it's 99 percent match with my father's." He sighed loudly, hugging him tighter. "My father and Yue's mother were cheating on their wife and husband Peng."
Peng Peng could not even comprehend the amount of information he just got. "This is some deep shit family drama."
"It's just drama, not family. I can accept Yue and Tian as my family but not my father and their parents. They do not deserve my respect,"
He gently caressed his distraught lover's head. "Momma Nui is not the person to cheat on her husband though...."
"I don't know what to expect from others anymore. Everything looks so black and white to me. no one is truthful..."
Peng Peng pulled his chin up and kissed his pouty lips. "Come on, don't be a whiny bitch. You don't even know the reason. Go talk and get more info. Aren't you a scientist? Aren't you curious?"
"I am... but at the same time I'm not..." Qian sat up. "If Yue finds out about this would hate me too? Won't he hate his parents?"
"Not sure."
Peng Peng silently licked his paws. But stopped in the middle. He simply wipe away the saliva in his palm and sat up straight. "I'll make something to eat,"
He stood up. Right then the light above them switched on, casting a bright light on his face.
Surprised he hissed loudly and jumped over the couch like a startled cat.
Qian glanced at him with a small smirk. "You look so cute,"
Peng Peng pouted. His hair was standing up, his tail was stiff and his ears were perked up ready to fight the attacker.
It was his flight or fight mode.
When he had seen cats react like this, he found it to be very funny but now that he was in the same situation, it was not that funny anymore.
Growling he walked over to the kitchen. The taps were on and water was gushing out.
He swiftly closed it. "Looks like your siblings succeeded."
Qian silently stood near him. "Hey, do you think my father named me Qian because it rhymes with Tian."
Peng Peng dully glanced up at him. "Stop speculating and start looking for answers. Just go talk to your dad or Yue's mum. Just whining and bitching is not going to help your mental state,"
"Okay then, I'll go ask her for answers," he excitedly sat up.
He ran out of the house with renewed passion.
"Eat something you bozo!"
"Later~" Qian gave him an air kiss. "I'll be back in just a few minutes okay? Don't open the door for anyone. Stay safe"
"You too, take your gun,"
"Oh yeah, I forgot," Qian took the military-issued gun and rushed out of the house.
Running through the streets, he ran to Yue's house in just ten minutes. He knocked on the door slightly.
"Who is it?" Yue's dad shouted from the inside.
A small whine crept out from under the gap of the door and spread out green jade-like leaves.
Qian watched it with interest. "Uncle it's me, Qian,"
"Oh," the door opened slightly. "Come in, come in, sorry about peachy, we have been having too many pests lately,"
"Peachy?" Qian glanced at the pea plant that was creeping all over the house. it's branches were thick and sturdy with only a few leaves at a spot.
"Yeah, it's a pea plant. Nui wanted to name it pea, and I named it chy, its peachy now." uncle Wei let out a small laugh.
"Qian~ look at you. You have grown so slim," aunty Nui came to him and pulled him down on the sofa. "Wait right here. I'll bring you some hot soup."
"Aunty... I'm here to talk about something else...."
