Entering the alchemy room, Xuan Hao did not think too much about what he had felt earlier and instead just placed the spiritual herbs that he had gotten on the side before taking out the first potion recipe that he had decided to try out.
[Strength Potion]
The potion in question, was one that would boost one's physical strength for a set amount of time.
The reason why he had chosen it as the first potion, was the fact that it was among one of the easiest apprentice potions to make. From what he knew, the potion itself would also be useful when it came to making other potions in the future, as it incorporated many elements that was used as a basis for brewing other apprentice level potions.
Fwoosh!
Starting the fire, Xuan Hao began to grind the different spiritual herbs used for the potion according to the recipe before placing some water over to boil over the fire.
Compared to some higher-level potion recipes that would use all sorts of different rare spiritual liquids or waters. Apprentice level potions would only use normal water for the potion.
Bubble~
"Hm… Looks like I should add the different herbs in now…" Muttering this to himself as he watched the boiling water, Xuan Hao slowly began to add in the newly grinded up spiritual herbs in the order that the recipe had dictated. Making sure he added just the right amount. Not forgetting to stir to boiling mixture when needed.
Fwoosh!
With time slowly passing by, Xuan Hao did his best to keep an eye on the potion mixture as it slowly began changing colours.
Going from a light purple at the start, to a bright red towards the end as he carefully put the mixture aside and let it cool down before placing it into three separate bottles for storage.
"Looks like I succeed in the first try! The knowledge of alchemy given to me by the system was really useful…"
Smiling to himself as he looked at the finished product, Xuan Hao could not help but feel happy when he thought about how easy it had been for him to make the strength potion.
Even if he had never tried making the apprentice level strength potion before today, his knowledge about all sorts of alchemy recipes and how to make them that he had learned from the system. Ended up helping him make it without any problems.
On the other hand, it would be quite embarrassing if he could not even make an apprentice level potion as someone who was an Artisan level alchemist…
"Next is the Qi Absorption potion!"
Not waiting for even a moment after seeing that his strength potion was a success, Xuan Hao began preparing the next batch of spiritual herbs before starting the process of brewing the next potion.
…
At the same time, just outside the alchemy room that Xuan Hao had entered, the different elders from the Alchemy Hall had gathered together as they barely managed to supress their curiosity to open the door and enter.
"Wan Qiu… Are you sure we can't just enter and greet Elder Xuan? I'm sure he won't mind and if he is offended by it, we can always give him a few spiritual herbs as an apology…" One of the elders who could almost not hold himself back turned towards Wan Qiu and asked.
"No! You should at least know how bad it is for someone to come and interrupt you in the process of making a potion or pill!"
Understanding the reason for the elder's curiosity, Wan Qiu had to spot him in case he ended up offending Elder Xuan.
She herself, had also been curious about the true level that Elder Xuan had reached when it came to alchemy and wanted to break down the door and see for herself, but her reasoning managed to hold her back from doing something so dumb.
No matter what, Xuan Hao was a Core Elder and they could not afford to offend someone like that… And much less so just to satiate their curiosity for his current alchemy realm…
"Hm…? What are all of you doing around here?"
Having just left a moment earlier after talking with the group of elders to sort out a few things in his own alchemy room, Peng Yun could not help but ask in a confused tone as he saw almost all five of the Alchemy Hall's elders gathered together in the hallway with alchemy rooms for disciples or elders not part of the Alchemy Hall to use.
"Ah… Nothing… We… We just finished checking the quality of these rooms and were discussing how to go about a few much-needed repairs in a few of them!"
Reacting much faster than Wan Qiu and the rest of the elders, Elder Gong Bo stroked his large white beard with a wise look on his face as he explained to the confused Peng Yun, causing the rest of the elders to breath out a sigh of relief.
Luckily Elder Gong Bo was fast thinking and came up with an excuse! There was no way they wanted to admit to the fact that they almost broke into the alchemy room of someone in the midst practicing alchemy!
Something like disturbing someone in the process of brewing or making pills, was highly frowned upon and disgraceful for alchemist, as it might result in them making a mistake and ruining all the precious spirit herbs that they were using. Let alone, the person they were about to disturb was also a Core Elder!
"Ah, I see, I won't disturb you anymore then! I just came to inform Wan Qiu that she is more than welcome to come latter today after I finish up a lecture for some of the younger alchemists."
Nodding his head in approval upon hearing what Elder Gong Bo said, Peng Yun soon turned around and left the group of elders.
"W-we should just leave Elder Xuan alone for now… We can always find out about his alchemy realm in the future…"
The short elder Xia Wu felt a bit nervous all of a sudden as he said this, causing the surrounding elders to nod in agreement before turning to leave the doorway leading into the alchemy room Xuan Hao was currently staying in.
Soon, only Wan Qiu was left behind in front of the alchemy room, as she felt reluctant to leave and give up the opportunity to learn about Elder Xuan's alchemy realm.
What should I do?!
Hesitating for a moment, as she looked around herself to see no one else around her, Wan Qiu built up a bit courage for herself before finally stepping forward.
Knock Knock~
And lightly knocking at the door to the alchemy room.
