“Brother, you shouldn’t joke around so much…”

“I’m not kidding. Once Callus gets well, you would of course have to go out in public. And of course will meet attractive women.”

“That may be so, but it’s too early for me.”

Sirius is a playboy, so he may have had that in him since he was little, but I’m a recluse and don’t even have friends my own age.

Again, I’m still too young!

“Callus, it’s too late to only learn these things when you need them. It’s one of the hardest and most painful things in life to have someone you love hook up with someone else. I don’t want you to have to go through that.”

“Fortunately, Callus has a very nice face, just like me. With your beautiful white hair and your gorgeous scarlet eyes, you’ll be a hit in no time.”

“I doubt that…?”

To be honest, I don’t really like this hair and eye color.

Originally, my hair and eyes were golden. But as I suffered from the curse, my hair faded and my eyes turned red.

That’s why I didn’t like these two colors, but I wonder if other people would feel differently?

“You will be popular, I guarantee it. Trust me, I know as I have been the “most handsome hunk” in the newspaper ranking in the Royal Capital for three years in a row!”

“I didn’t know newspapers in the Royal Capital did such a thing….”

To top it off, my brother is on it.

I don’t know what to feel…

“Well,…. I understand. Since Brother says so, I guess it must be necessary.”

I thought Sirius was a serious person, but he could actually say such things…

I’m a little disappointed, but does this mean that he has opened up with his true feelings to me?

If so, I’m glad.

“Oh right, Callus. How are you and Shizuku-san getting along?”

“Huh? Shizuku? Nothing out of the ordinary…”

Shizuku was never one to express her emotions on her face and I can’t really understand what she is thinking, but I think we get along well.

Hence, I replied like so but it seems that it’s not the answer my Brother wanted.

“No, no, no. I’m asking if you and Shizuku are ‘getting along’.”

“What are you talking about, Brother? I am not like that with Shizuku. I don’t think a woman like Shizuku would look at a child like me in that way anyway.”

“Oh, really? I think she’s crazy about Callus, but you just don’t know it. The way she looks at you is that of a predator, and I’m on the edge of my seat wondering if she’s going to pounce someday.”

“…… No, that’s impossible. I’ve never felt such a gaze.”

“Hmmm, first of all, we need to fix your denseness. Don’t worry, I’ll ring you into shape in no time.”

I don’t know why, but I was fired up.
