Chapter 114: Tobi termination

Until someone captured or killed the monster however it would remain without a title since it's abilities were unknown. Alex simply hoped that it didn't have elemental powers since depending on the element that could be a real pain to counter for him. Still Alex had a large meal of tuna before carefully exercising his body to it's limits to better understand and get used to it's new power. The most embarrassing part of this process was all the times he used more strength than he thought and destroyed something.

Alex took the next three days to readjust while working on his traits which allowed him to level up three of them , [enhanced scales] , [enhanced ears] and [venomous claws]. These only created small changes in his abilities so Alex barely even noticed the difference. The exception to this was with his [venomous claws] trait that could now release poison without him needing to put pressure on his claws unlike before. This wasn't a huge change but when added on top of his [toxirosys] trait that allowed Alex to generate poison from any part of his body but it did allow him not to run the risk of collateral damage when he attacked with poison in the future.

At the end of this short training time Zain had finally returned from his great jagras hunt since it wasn't so simple to hunt a monster in reality compared to the game. The people of this world were weaker than even a great jagras in terms of endurance and strength so when hunters went out they needed to be extra careful not to directly take hits. This made it so that hunts tended to be more drawn out affairs unless the hunter can get lucky and strike a fatal blow quickly.

Alex informed Zain of his agreement on hunting the laventis together as well as his plan to allow him to recover for a few days before they attempted it. To say Zain was excited with this news would be an understatement as the man was practically giddy from the news. Alex ignored the man's excitement however and flew into the ancient forest to hunt on his own. 'The game really didn't do this place justice.' Alex thought as he flew over the massive forest easily eighteen times larger than what was shown in the game.

Looking down Alex was surprised to see a large blue monster quickly slinking through the forest below and decided to try and hunt it. This was an elemental monster that had a lithe body much like a squirrel but with a snake head and hide that also had a long flat tail with a line of soft fur running down its spine. The name of this monster was tobi kadachi and Alex knew it was bound to give him something good if he ate it. Silently diving down Alex slammed into the unsuspecting monster at high speed disorienting it.

Before the beast could recover Alex gouged out it's eyes with his claws making sure it got poisoned in the same moment as well. The tobi screamed in agony and fear as it lost it's eyes in an instant while Alex leapt away from the beast as it crackled with electricity. 'That would have hurt' he thought as he saw how close he came to getting electrocuted. Alex knew he wouldn't get killed from getting electrocuted by this tobi but that didn't mean he wouldn't suffer greatly if he got hit with that much power at once. The tobi thrashed about wildly trying to harm it's unseen attacker but Alex stalked it just outside of it's range patiently.

Soon the tobi began to slow down and pant in exhaustion from it's outburst and Alex took this opportunity to slip besides it and spear it through it's eye socket with his tail killing it instantly. The body writhed and twitched on the ground as the nerves still fired and spasmed at random. Alex waited for the body to stop moving before grasping it with his claws and taking off into the air without any issue thanks to his level three [dense muscles].
