Looking around, I could see the dirty streets, Beggers, and people sleeping in the alley way.

“Fuck...”

---

Kazu thrusted his sword through the heart of the demon king.

That was how my novel ended. It was a typical weak to strong novel where it started with the MC being one of the weakest in his class, then working his way to becoming the strongest.

It was an untitled novel simply for the fact I never planned to release it. I had become sick and tired of the constant cliffhangers, shitty endings, and bland personality of the characters in the novels I read. So, I made my own.

Of course, it wasn’t too in depth, I had written it just to play out my fantasies of how ‘I’ would write a novel.

I thought it was pretty good, of course, I used some cliches, and story flaws where you had to turn your brain off but overall, I think I did a good job.

The main character was annoying, but likable. The side characters actually had personality; the demon king wasn’t just like “Ah! I will rule the world just because I want to!” and not everyone was a total dick for no reason to the MC. And most importantly, how the story didn’t only revolve around the MC.

If I could change some things maybe I would’ve gone more in depth on the world-building, and more in depth on how the combat actually happened. But it was whatever, no one except for me would’ve read it anyway.

Anyways, it’s been a few days since I’ve finished writing that novel. I was planning on reading it after a few months when I’ve forgotten a lot of the side details in the story, so I could feel the thrill of reading a ‘good’ novel.

In the meantime, I had gone gung-ho on reading other novels.

They were my escape from reality.

One genre of novel that started becoming popular was when a reader transmigrated into a novel as a side character or villain. I had enjoyed those too, however, I couldn’t help but hate how they only relied on how the story should’ve gone and tried as much as possible not to change it.

All I could remember was reading a transmigration novel and yelling in my head at how stupid the mc was and thinking how different I would be in that situation.

---

“Is this the slums?”

My body was itchy, and I stank. The world around me had looked much different than I was used to.

“Sigh...”

It was obvious what happened.

“Fuck, I transmigrated.”

Now this wasn’t a bad thing actually, depending on what world I was in would dictate my future. I was alone in my previous world anyway and sometimes actually prayed to be isekai’d. Though if I were in something like ‘********’ I’d be screwed.

Sigh...

I decided to walk around and see if anything seemed familiar.

There was nothing.

“Agh, shit. Where the fuck am I?”

Sitting down with my back against the wall I took a deep breath. I looked around for a few hours and I couldn’t find anything. After talking to some people, the only useful information I got was that it was June 26th of the 30th rat year. Which really didn’t help me because I had no clue what the hell a ‘rat year’ was. In fact, why did they even use ‘June’ instead of some other bullshit word? Though, if it wasn’t a coincidence, I was probably in some idiot's novel. The only question was, which idiots.

“Wait...”

“Status...”

I can’t believe I didn’t think to try this, if I really was in some idiot’s novel then it surely must have a status screen.

And it really popped up, the basic translucent, run-of-the-mill, blue status screen popped up.

Leo Vondheart, 18... That was my actual name and age, did I not transmigrate? But instead, transport? And what was with this? Skills, talents, stats? Talk about stereotypical.

“I’m fucking weak...”

That was the conclusion I came to after reading my status board.

“Peace of Mind? Music? Those are my skills and talents? I’m fucked...”

“If there’s any sort of danger in this world, what the hell am I going to do? Sing a song?”

I tried to click on ‘Peace of Mind’ and it gave me information about the skill.

Peace of Mind (A Grade)

You are calm, it isn’t easy to disrupt your soul.

…

“Is that it?”

“No other fucking details?”

“Sigh... You piece of shit...”

I clicked on ‘Music’ as well

Music

You are naturally gifted at music.

…

“Whatever...”

---

Walking around, I was looking for water. It annoyed me being this dirty. After a while I came upon the gates. There were some guards with the symbol of a lion on their armor. But I just walked past them, they didn’t seem to be so happy.

I finally came across a stream. At first, I thought I had transmigrated, then I thought I transported because of my name, but after looking at my arm I could see I didn’t have the tattoos I used to have. So, I was sure I transmigrated.

Looking at my reflection in the water, I had brown eyes, and messy black hair. I had transmigrated.
