I headed back to the infirmary; Rio was still sleeping and Gene was still unconscious.
Haah, it’s pretty late.
I walked over to Rio.
That position’s gonna mess up your back...
I picked Rio up and put him on my back. He didn’t wake up from this, was he a heavy sleeper? Or was he just that tired?
Anyways, I started to walk back to the dormitory.
The dorms were in a different building than the cafeteria and infirmary, so I could enjoy the windy night air.
I didn’t see anyone else on the way there, everyone except the teachers were probably asleep by now.
When I entered the dormitory, all of the lights were out, it was practically empty except for one couch. Kazu was sleeping on the couch, it looked like he fell asleep while waiting for something.
Eh, whatever. I ignored him and went to Rio’s room. His door was unlocked so I just waltzed right in.
I carefully put Rio on his bed then put the blanket over him.
“Night.”
I said before leaving the room.
I headed to Kazu’s room and waltzed right in there as well, he wasn’t in there, so it didn’t really matter.
His room was definitely customized, he had a beanbag chair in the corner, photos of him with everyone in the class on the walls, and even a customized blanket and pillow.
I took the blanket from his bed-
Wow, this is really comfy... Maybe I’ll ask for one of these...
As I was leaving the room, In the corner of the room I could see a rusty sword that caught my eye.
Hm? I don’t think he brought this on the mission, is it because it’s rusty?
I touched the edge of the blade, and it was sharp. It had made a small cut on my finger just from me touching it, albeit I didn’t touch it too lightly, it still caused me to bleed a little which surprised me.
What the hell? Its rusty and sharp? I don’t remember Kazu having some kind of sharp, rusty sword, he should use this though...
Well, whatever. Maybe he has some kind of reason not to. Or maybe he does use it, I just haven’t seen it.
He should at least clean it though...
I left the room and headed to where Kazu was sleeping.
You should’ve really just slept in your room rather than the living room...
I yawned as I put his blanket over him.
After that, I went back to my room. It really was basic; I hadn’t done anything to upgrade or add to it since I’ve got it.
Haah... Where’s that form?
---
I ended up spending a few hours just writing stuff to add in my room, the main things were a comfy blanket, a comfy pillow, some books, and some picture frames.
I wasn’t too tired, so I just stayed awake all night. I could see the sun starting to come up from my window.
I decided to just get straight back into my schedule. I’d figure out everything that happened from Rio or someone after they woke up.
I headed to the track and started to run.
…
I feel way better and worse at the same time... My ‘Agility’ had gone up from a D+ to a C-, I didn’t think it would make too big of a difference, but that extra grade helps a lot.

At the same time though, my ‘Agility’ and ‘Stamina’ were both at A grade when I was running from the Ogre. I think that’s thanks to this ring, but now I feel sort of awkward.
I feel so slow now... But it also puts into perspective that if I didn’t have this ring which boosted my agility, I’d be dead.
Maybe I should have tried to check the Ogre’s status actually... Wait, can I check the statuses of other creatures?
Now that I think about it, I don’t see why not... What about items?
I looked at the ring and thought ‘Status.’
Nothing appeared.
Damn... That means I’d have to go to an appraiser, or... I could just save my money; I know that it boosts my agility and stamina anyways. Eh, but what if it has a curse or something? Eh... Fuck it, I don’t have the 30 gold coins for a good artifact appraiser anyway, I haven’t died yet, so whatever...
Wait... When did I run this long? I was slightly out of breath and could see the sun up high.
Did I lose track of time while thinking?
I could see some students starting to walk around now.
I exhaled a deep breath and headed back to the dormitory.
Kazu was still sleeping on the couch, but I couldn’t see anyone else.
Are they still asleep?
Whatever, I headed back to my room and entered the bathroom.
I looked in the mirror and at my body which was looking way better than before.
Haah, I really had changed. Both, mentally and physically...
I wonder if I could take these bandages off now though. I looked at my hands. Eh, I’ll wait.
I showered, got dressed, then knocked on Rio’s door.
After a minute or two there was no answer even after knocking again, so he was probably still sleeping. I began walking to class with my room form.
I sat at my desk with my hand on my cheek and waited.
…
A few minutes turned into an hour, no one had entered the classroom.
Did I not get the memo or something? Were we having class somewhere else? Wait, is it the weekend?
No... Wait... The mission started on Monday... We spent four nights there, so would it be Friday? It should be... Unless I slept for days which I doubt.
Yeah... It was Thursday morning, Wednesday night, the Ogre attacked. It should be Friday then?
A few more dozen minutes later no one entered the classroom.
Haah, I got up from my seat and headed to Class ‘A’s room. I could overhear the teacher teaching in there and some students asking questions.
“Vondheart?”
Mr. Mispholfo was in front of me.
“What are you doing in front of Class A?”
“I didn’t see anyone in class, and I didn’t know if it was the weekend, so I went to check.”
“Class was cancelled today.”
“Huh?”
