In Eupheme’s shop, Brilliant Works.

“Hmm…seems your stuff have been worn down, why didn’t you have a smith do maintenance on it?” said Eupheme.

“Because I told you, they wanted to work on your spear that you made and well I figured you be the one to make it better….”

“…Heh~” she said with a grin. “Well apart from the spear everything else is pretty good, are you sure you can’t stay for another day or two?”

“I’m sorry but my quest is time sensitive.”

“Hm, I understand I’ll do express delivery.”

“Thank you, I’ll write down the address and here.” Cirrus puts down a bag full of Valis. “For your speedy work.”

“Thank you very much!” she said with that same grin pumping her fist into the air.

“Then I’ll leave you to your work.” Cirrus took his leave and left the shop. “If only I can stay in town for a bit longer…”

Walking back home a voice spoke up behind him.

“So you’re the client Eupheme talked about?”

Cirrus turned to see a goddess, crimson eye and hair reaching down to her neck with an eyepatch covering her right eye.

Among the gods Cirrus has seen walking to and from the dungeon hers was one of the most eye-catching ones, her divinity was really like that of a gentle furnace.

“…One-eye, fire like red hair and long gloves…you must be Lady Hephaestus, right?”

“You are correct, seems my child mentioned me before.”

“Not really I just guessed based on word of mouth from other people and gods that the god known as Hephaestus wears an eyepatch.”

“Cleaver I see…explains how Eupheme made that spear of yours.”

“Lord Hephaestus with all due respect did you come just to talk to me? or your child?”

“Both actually.” She said with a grin. “I wanted to thank you for being her client, I know some of her work is-“

“Unique.” Cirrus said in quotations.

“Fufu, that’s the word, but recently her works have started to look aesthetically a bit better as well as the quality.”

“Well you know the old saying, practice makes perfect. But excuse me lord Hephaestus but I really do need to-!”

Cirrus quickly turned to see where he felt a gaze on his back.

“What’s wrong?” Hephaestus said a bit concerned.

“…Sorry since I returned yesterday, I felt a strong gaze on me and just now I felt it again.”

“Ah…” Hephaestus then looked around and saw nothing. “Well whoever it was their gone.”

“Yeah…well it was nice to meet you Lady Hephaestus.” Cirrus held out his hand for a handshake.

“Mm.”

Hephaestus shook his hand, she found it rather strong and rugged, she registered it as a hand of a veteran adventure or a fellow blacksmith. Realizing who‘s hand she was holding he had already taken them back and left.

“…That child….” Hephaestus watched his back and spotted Lugh’s Familia’s symbol on the corner of the shield. “Heh~…interesting, seems you found a rather special client Eupheme.”

Hephaestus then enters the shop of her child.

 

Up on a rather tall building a beautiful goddess with silver hair and purple eyes watches as Cirrus disappears into the crowd of adventures.

“I could see him once more today…fufu what a bright and strong soul you have…but your appearance…for some reason I just want to defile that cute face of his in pleasure.”

Knock! Knock!

Coming onto the rooftop a tall and muscular man of the Boaz race entered and knelt down.

“Lady Freya we have word that the Loki Familia has found another hideout of Evilus near our location, shall we go and deal with it?”

“No, let Astraea and her Familia do it, her children are strong enough to handle such adventures. Ottar after your training with Mia has concluded can you look into a child?”

“May I get a description or possibly a name, it will improve the rate I could deliver it to you.”

“A name I do not know but he looks to be around 8 years of age.”

“I shall look into it.”

Ottar gets up and leaves, Freya continues to watch from the rooftops looking at the sea of people hoping to see that soul once more.
