"Aaaaaaaaaaa.......

Zhou Jinhai couldn't help but scream in pain and roll on the ground. His face kissed the ground several times until he finally managed to somewhat calm himself and propped himself on his knees. When he saw what had bit him he almost had a hard attack. A black snake about a meter in length and 3 cm in width had bit him and was not letting go. This immediately enraged Jinhai and he begun to punch the snakes he'd with his other hand.

"Gaaaaah....let go!" He punched and punched with his all until there was no more strength in his, and the snakes head was now a pulp of flesh is scales.

"Hah...hah...hah....

Jinhai could head clearly the heartbeat in his ears as adrenaline flowed through his body, but that was the least of his problems. He was only now beginning to notice his arm that was but was very stiff and cold to the touch making him believe that it was a venomous snake. The now dead and writhing snake still hadn't let go of him.

"Fuck this....

First I die by fucking acupuncture, and now I'm going to die by a snake?" said Jinhai as he looked at the village and someone came to his mind. ' No, it's not impossible to survive. The means of the people of this world may seem primitive, but it's still a world where Qi and immortals exist. I will not die here!'

He immediately got up from the ground without even removing the snake head and headed towards one of the most well built houses in the village. The trip was not long and he managed to arrive at his destination under the surprised glances of some of the villagers who were around.

*Bam Bam Bam*

"Hey, is anyone there? I've been bit by a snake, and need treatment. I'm dying here...

He banged on the door with all his might, and very quickly someone came , the door opening with a start.

"Zhou Jinhai?!" said in surprise the long haired young man who opened the door, but Jinhai didn't wait to great him as he immediately entered inside and begun to look around.

"Nice, is your father here because I really need some help." said Jinhai as he lifted the now dead snake in his hand. This immediately made Nie's eyes narrow and he pushed Jinhai inside the house in a hurry. Nie immediately busied himself  as he went to a cabinet filled with porcelain bottles and picked some of them in one stride.

What followed was him feeding Jinhai some bitter medicine that made his stomach rumble, but that was not over as Nie brought out several thin golden needles from a beautifully decorated wooden box.

"Needles.... what do you need them for?" almost yelled Jinhai as he saw them. His fear towards them fully showing, but  a stern look from Nie made him stop complaining. He gritted his teeth as he saw the young man in the eyes and understand that the situation was very bad, but he couldn't help but ask.

"It it really that bad?"

Nie didn't answer as he brought out another vial and made Jinhai drink it. As soon as he did that he begun to feel lightheaded and Nie helped him to lie down on a big wooden table not far away.

"Now you will have to sleep for a while as I need to treat you. Don't fight it....it's going to be alright."

"Alright....heh.... alright my ass....

With those two words Jinhai fell into a deep slumber, and Nie begun to prepare himself. He first cleaned his needles with what seemed to be alcohol and then he dipped them In a dark-read thick liquid that stuck to them like glue before starting to insert them in his arm, but not before removing the snake head away. When he did that, dark blood slowly came out from more than ten holed and stained the wood.

In the next several minutes more than twenty needles had been inserted into Zhou Jinhai's arm and his head, but Nie was still frowning as he saw the state of Jinhai.

' This is all I can do for you Jinhai, all that my skill level restricts me. I've already restricted the spread of the Qi and dim my best to neutralize it, but that's all I can do for now without real medicine.

Still, how could you have gotten yourself bitten by a Blue Fang  snake.....such bad luck.' though Nie as he saw the sleeping figure of Jinhai.

If Zhou Jinhai had been alive and could read Nie's mind right now he would look him in the eyes and say "You really have no idea" , but alas, he was asleep. His sleep though wasn't plesent at all as he suffered from nightmares all the time.

..........

Two days later Jinhai was still lying on the wooden table , the difference was that he had a pillow behind bhis head and many more golden meddle sticking out of him.

Next to him was now standing a mad about 40 years bold with short graying hair, a clean shaven face, brown eyes and a face very similar fato to Nie's who was standing behind him.

"Hmmm...it seems he has passed the worst of it , and is now stable enough to wake up. Haaa....if you had been a little less experienced or if he had been a little more hesitant, he would already be dead.

You did good, Nie."

"Thank you father, but is he really okay? I thought that the poison of the Blue Fang snake was supposed to be more dangerous. How is it he has recovered so quickly.

The man scratched his nose as he thought , before checking the spot where the snake had bit Jinhai. The holes weren't bleeding anymore, but they seemed to not be healing either as the flesh could be seen.

"Hmmm....it is indeed a peculiar case. The Blue Fang snakes poison is Yin Qi based and rapidly destroys the flesh,  but by some miracle all the puncture spots are near a main Yang Qi meridian , and the forces canceled each other. That coupled with your treatment has saved this young man's life. I suppose the Dao of medicine is more suitable for you it seems , my son."

"I see.... that is good luck indeed."
