Chapter 140: Chapter 140 Who Said A Gun Without A Bullet Won’t Kill People

“Bai Yutang gave up, Wu Kezhao do you still want to continue?” said Zhu Lingdie. She seemed to be suggesting something to him.

Zhu Lingdie knew that Bai Yutang was no match for Chu Yunsheng, but she was still surprised that Bai Yutang would give up so easily.

‘Did I underestimate his power?’ She thought.

“Of course, why not. You think that is going to scare me away!” Wu Kezhao was also surprised to see Bai Yutang give up. Although he was reckless, he wasn’t stupid. At least, he realized that his opponent was not a weak person.

However, he had already said those words earlier, it was hard to take them back!

More importantly, he was very confident that he was much stronger than Bai Yutang. Especially that his ability contained the rarest element, the metal element!

Chu Yunsheng reloaded the clip, which had a total of 15 bullets, and patiently waited for the signal to start.

He knew that this was just a competition, and everyone would be brothers and fighting together side by side in the future. So he just infused ⅓ of one Yuan Qi unit into each bullet.

Chu Yunsheng fired his gun immediately after Zhu Lingdie’s signal.

“Despicable!” Wu Kezhao cursed loudly.

No one was able to dodge the bullet at such a close range! Even if that person was a dark warrior.

Wu Kezhao’s body burst out a dim golden light, attempting to block two blazing bullets. The impact made him move back one step.

‘Rank-3 Bing-class or above!’ Wu Kezhao thought. He immediately started to rotate around Chu Yunsheng, and attempted to move closer to attack. In his mind, as long as he was able to move quickly, Chu Yunsheng would eventually use up his bullets. Then, he would be able to take this man down easily.

The reason why Chu Yunsheng wanted to fire the gun first was that his aim was very bad. He wanted to make the first move to fire at the non-moving target.

When Wu Kezhao started to move, Chu Yunsheng immediately lost his advantages. However, it did not mean that he was going to stay there and waited for Wu Kezhao to stop. His speed was also very quick, and it was even quicker than Wu Kezhao.

So, he immediately bent his knees and dashed out to chase Wu Kezhao, who was still running.

What Chu Yunsheng did totally surprise Wu Kezhao. Earlier, he was still trying to find a way to approach Chu Yunsheng. But he didn’t expect this man would come to him first.

He was overjoyed. Just when he was about to turn around and counterattack. Chu Yunsheng fired another two shots. It instantly made Wu Kezhao spit out blood. He quickly changed his moving patterns and carried on running. He didn’t dare to turn around anymore. The close-range attack was much more dangerous than he thought. If he turned around, he might really end up like what Zhu Lingdie said, which was wrapped around by bandages.

On the field, one person was busy running, the other was closely chasing behind. The sound of gunshots constantly appeared. It was lucky for Wu Kezhao that Chu Yunsheng’s aim was very bad. His unpredictable running pattern also helped him a lot, so most of Chu Yunsheng’s shots were missed.

While Wu Kezhao was running, he was also calculating in his mind.

’10, 11, fuck, where the fuck was he aiming at… Fuck, 12… 14… One more left.’ His chance was near. He intentionally slowed down his speed to lure Chu Yunsheng to fire the last bullet.

This was the first time Chu Yunsheng fought with a Rank-3 metal element dark warrior. Although almost half of his bullets failed to hit the target, the rest half was still very powerful. He was quite surprised to see Wu Kezhao could still withstand his attack.

“Haha, punk, finally! You ran out of bullets! Now it’s my turn!” said Wu Kezhao after Chu Yunsheng fired the last shot. He had never felt so great before.

Chu Yunsheng didn’t count the bullets. Because he didn’t think he needed to. With Yuan Tian stage two’s strength, and the help from the level-two fire enchantment talisman. He could still shoot fire-elemental Yuan Qi bullets from an empty chamber, and it would be as powerful as the real bullets.

Wu Kezhao didn’t give Chu Yunsheng a chance to reload the clip. While he was saying those words, he had already jumped towards Chu Yunsheng. While he was still in the air, a bright golden light started to appear on his arms and quickly flowed towards his fists.

‘Now it is time for him to run,’ he thought.

Just when all the people thought that Chu Yunsheng was going to lose. Three gunshots rang out.

“Bang! Bang! Bang!”

The sounds were totally different this time.

The first shot blocked Wu Kezhao’s attack, the second one hit his chest, and the third one closely followed

Three shots! Every shot contained one full unit of Yuan Qi. The power was doubled!

“Fuck!” Wu Kezhao only felt a sharp pain. It instantly broke up all the energy he had gathered earlier. He felt like he was hit by a staff, and his body instantly flew backwards uncontrollably and landed on the ground. The energy movement inside his body was suddenly tossed around, which made him instantly spit out blood. He even smelled something was burning.

“No way, it’s impossible, you ran out of bullets!” said Wu Kezhao, while there was still a bout of burning pain in his chest.

“Who said that without bullets, you can’t fire a gun!” Chu Yunsheng put back his gun and said. He had already won the fight.

‘Who said without bullets, you can’t fire a gun?’

Not only Wu Kezhao was confused, all the dark warriors, including Zhu Lingdie, were confused. This completely subverted their knowledge of gun dark warriors!

Amongst the dark warriors that were watching the competition, there were also some gun dark warriors. Most of the time, they were treated as the weakest members of the team. They were upset, but they couldn’t do anything. However, Chu Yunsheng’s words gave them hope. This was their future, they could be powerful as well!

“The winner of the third group is Chu Yunsheng!” said Zhu Lingdie, who was the first one came back from the shock.

When they were just about to start the last competition, strange loud noises suddenly appeared behind them. There was a commotion amongst the 9th division’s troops. All the soldiers flocked towards the defence line hurriedly. The scream, exclaims, and gasps that people made when they were scared constantly appeared in the defence line.

“What happened?” a dark warrior stopped a soldier and asked nervously.

“The other side of the river… the other side of the river!…” The soldier was so scared that he could not even say it properly.

People were scared of the insects, any movements made by them would make them panic, even if they were the dark warriors.

Immediately, 300 hundred dark warriors ran towards the front line, competently ignoring the competition.

Chu Yunsheng’s speed was the fastest. He jumped on three large abandoned shipping containers that were laid on the defence wall and gazed afar at the other side of the river.

It was almost noon if it was still in the age of light. It was the time when the hazy shimmer in the sky was the brightest. The black fog that always covered the river had also dispersed.

At a place far beyond the other side of the river, there was a vast and thick red-coloured fog, within the thick fog, many huge blurred shadows vaguely appeared in everyone’s sights. There seemed to be many bright red lights soaring into the sky from the top of those shadows. It made the whole northern region of the river enveloped in the horrifying red coloured.

“Brother Chu, use this.” Zhu Lingdie passed over a pair of military binoculars and said sternly.

Chu Yunsheng took over the binoculars and looked at the other side of the river once again. What he saw made him break out in a cold sweat.

On the other side of the river, at what was originally the swarm’s position, there were many gigantic tomb-shaped organisms that appeared out of nowhere. They were at least 60 meters high, more than 50 meters in diameter, and it seemed to attach to the ground. Their whole “bodies” were covered in bloody red colour and they were constantly squirming from bottom to the top.

The “hole” at the top of each of those gigantic organisms constantly opened and closed, spurting out fire into the sky.

Many giant tubes were spread out from its bottom, non-stop pouring the crimson-coloured sticky substances on the ground.

There were an uncountable amount of red-shelled insects traveling between tombs. Most of the green-shelled insects were perching on the middle part of the tombs.

Chu Yunsheng tried to glance at the further places, but because of the hazy shimmer, apart from the tombs at the front, all he could see were the blurry outlines of the tombs at the places further behind. However, he believed that there were definitely more of them.

The crimson-coloured sticky substances had already spread to the riverside. There was also a huge tube on the broken bridge, and the tube seemed to be damaged by something.

Then, Chu Yunsheng’s heart suddenly sank. If the bridge wasn’t blown up, those sticky substances would have probably reached the Western District already.

However, the Eastern District and Southern District did not have a river, this kind of natural terrain. How were they going to solve this problem?

“Is this hell?” Zhu Lingdie murmured.

No one was able to answer her question. Everyone’s mind was still blank!

“Fire! Fire! Fire!”

The 9th division’s artillery regiment has already started the bombardment.

The whistling artillery shells made dazzling lights in the silent sky. It brought everyone’s hope with them and flew towards the other side of the river.

The artillery shells flew over everyone’s head, flew over the river, and reached the tombs. However, there were no explosions, no destruction. It only had distortions!

Yes! Distortions!

If Chu Yunsheng needed to find a word to describe what he saw, he could only use distortions to describe it.

The hole on top of every tomb suddenly rotated open, then the whole space at the other side of the river seemed to be distorted, then all the shells were sucked into those tombs, not a single shell landed outside.

The bodies of the tombs were still slowly squirming from the bottom to the top, their bodies even expanded twice as big as their original size all of sudden, but there were still no explosions.

The whole Western district fell silent, no one said a single word, there was not even the breathing sound!

No one was willing to accept this result, everyone chose to believe it was just a hallucination.

An irresistible panic and despair started to emerge from everyone’s mind.

And the tombs at the other side of the river slowly opened their holes once again to spurt out fires and smokes.
