Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Bait.

Smoke is rising into the sky, the smell of blood and burnt permeated in the air. On the ground can be seen countless fallen human and destroyed mechanical puppets.

 

With various shapes and sizes scattered everywhere on the battlefield. In the sky several broken flying warship parts begin falling to the ground killing more human and mechanical puppets.

 

In front of the broken flying warship is a mechanical Bronze dragon. The same as flying warships, several parts of the mechanical Bronze dragon already get destroyed or stop functioning.

 

Near the Mechanical Bronze dragon is an undead False bone dragon, the dragon is made by Tyrannosaurus rex skull, the horn is a Tri-horn lizard's horn, the wing is a Pterosaur wing, and the remainder of the skeleton is made up of numerous monster bones.

 

Inside the False bone dragon chest, it has a black energy core. The False bone dragon also suffered from the damage caused by the human army. 

 

At the center of the battlefield, the remaining mechanical puppet army is protecting something or someone, and they are surrounded by the human army.

 

Around 15 male and female wearing different types of clothes and weapons are floating in the sky, but most of them sustain different kinds of injury. One of them is an elderly man with a beard wearing full body armor, without any injury just floating there while releasing powerful pressure.

 

After a long standoff, the elderly man with full body armor has finally run out of patience. "Surrender, Dark apostle or should I say Mr. Sylas!"

 

Protected by the mechanical puppets is a man wearing a dark mage robe, with black hair and average look remaining silent.

 

How I ended up in this situation, I was once an old man from earth accidentally entered Assiorath world after getting lost from hiking for the first time. This world looks like a fantasy world in the novel, and people here can use magic and skill like in the game.

 

When I arrived in this world I found out, I became young again. The only downside is I don't get any cheat-like system, the spirit of a powerful old man or beautiful old lady. After that I get trapped in an underground chamber by the dead consciousness of a narcissist mage inside the crystal ball. To get out of that place is to pass the test.

 

I work hard and finally free from that underground chamber after 9 years. One thing leads to another. I ended up becoming a general of the Roaring kingdom. People call me a Dark apostle or Puppets master, because my army consists only of mechanical puppets and golems.

 

Roaring kingdom is a kingdom created by a monster named Queen Devlin, a vampire, and her master Claire. But until today I didn't know Claire was a monster or human. The only thing I know is that she has a lot of knowledge and is powerful.

 

The reason I joined the Roaring kingdom is because of her knowledge about the outside world and maybe I can return to earth. Although my parents are already dead, I still have siblings and their kids. This world is magical, but I miss earth.

 

The elderly man with full body armor, after not hearing anything from Sylas, begins to shout again. "I give you 5 minute to think or I will attack!"

 

I snap out of reminiscing and look at the elderly man in the sky. The only reason that elderly man is not attacking, because he is afraid of the weapon Claire gave me. I look at the Black Crystal at my hand and I can sense a chaotic energy in it. But if I use this everything here including me will die.

 

"Why don't you surrender? You have been abandoned by the Roaring kingdom!"

 

After hearing the elderly man's words, I can only sigh. What he said is not wrong. I have two souls, one is in my main body and another is inside a dark humanoid puppet near me.

 

Usually my main body and second mechanical puppet body will be in different places. But this time by coincidence or accident, the enemy knows the location of when both of my bodies are meeting together.

 

Suddenly from afar a silhouette is flying toward the human army. When the silhouette is getting closer, people can see a man full of injuries. "Guardian we have been tricked; the target of Queen Devlin is the capital city!" After saying that, the man falls down from the sky, and a few people floating in the sky move and rescue the man. But the man already stops breathing, when they hold him.

 

The face of the elderly man turns pale because his family is in the capital city and he looks at Sylas with a ferocious face. "Your Queen sure is cruel, to use you as bait."

 

"To think that after all the things that I have done for them and this is the reciprocation that I get." Sylas looks disappointed but there is no anger in his face, maybe he already prepares for betrayal ever since he became the Roaring kingdom general. After a while Sylas face looked determined. "Ay, use this and execute order 44."

Beside him a mechanical puppet wearing a mage robe takes the Black crystal from Sylas hand. "Yes master."

 

"Merge." After saying that, Sylas ' second soul inside the dark mechanical puppet comes out and enters Sylas body and merges together with his soul.

 

Right now Sylas is trying to find a way out from the encirclement and he can't use teleport because of the human space lock formation. While Sylas is occupied merging his soul.

 

All the mechanical puppets go crazy and sprint toward the human army.

 

"Attack the puppets!"

 

"Archer, release your arrow!"

 

"Mage ready you magic!"

 

The human army releases multiple attacks. The rain of arrows and spells falls down on the mechanical puppet and gets destroyed. Because of the debris and dust from the attack, the human army vision is obscure.

 

The mechanical puppets that survive the attack. Manage to get near the human army and then the mechanical puppets' mana core begins to glow red.

 

"Kaboom!" Every time the mechanical puppets got near the human army, they exploded. The human and puppet body parts can be seen flying everywhere in the battlefield.

 

Behind Sylas there are two humanoid dark mechanical puppets, each of the puppets have 5 master rank mana cores inside their body. In the sky the Mechanical Bronze dragon and the False bone dragon fly toward the elderly man with full body armor.

 

The elderly man with full body armor, raises his hand and makes a slashing motion. Both the Mechanical Bronze dragon and False bone dragon body cleave into two and fall from the sky. The power of a Grand master is not something that the two master rank dragons can fight.           

 

Suddenly, without anyone's notice, a large mechanical puppet has a mouth with deadly teeth, six arms holding a saber, and a pair of metal wings. Attacking behind the elderly man, the other tried to help, but it was too late.

 

When the saber almost hits him, the elderly man makes a slashing motion again using his hand faster than the large mechanical puppet. The large mechanical puppet gets cleaved into two and explodes.

 

The elderly man, after calming down, decided to return to the capital city. "Kill the Dark apostle, I need to return."

 

Suddenly two large beams of mana pierce through the sky. The transparent barrier of space lock formation begins to get distorted from the attack.

 

While the Elderly man is distracted, Sylas orders two dark mechanical puppets. To use all of their mana core energy to disturb the space for him to escape. He quickly flies toward the distorted space.

 

"No you don't." The elderly man seeing that, quickly launches a large mana blade at the distorted space on the formation.

 

"No, I don't want to die yet!" Anxious Sylas uses all of his mana energy, to protect his soul and cast a teleportation spell. Before his body manages to teleport, Sylas body gets hit by the large mana blade and begins to disintegrate and disappears.

 

The elderly man, seeing that look satisfied, suddenly feels danger. But it was already too late, on the ground a mechanical puppet wearing a mage robe crushed the Black Crystal using his mechanical hand. A terrifying dark energy coming out from the destroyed Black Crystal and devouring everything.

 

Faraway from Assiorath world, a soul is drifting inside the chaotic space. Unsure of how much time has passed.
