Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Doctor.

10 years later, Kaross city, Oakdale Hospital. A handsome dark blonde-haired man with blue eyes, wearing doctor 's clothes and several other doctors are gathering together in front of the hospital. Today is Levi's last day at the hospital after finishing his residency and passing the boards. 

 

“Congratulations for getting the medical license.”

 

“You are the youngest licensed physician on this planet.”

 

“Come and visit us when you have time.”

 

“Don’t worry I will.” Levi shakes hands with the several doctors, before leaving with the car.

 

“Where do you want to go, young master?”

 

“Home.”

 

“Yes, young master.”

 

Levi sitting at the back of the car thinking. I finally got my medical license; with this I can move anywhere that I want.

 

For the past 10 years, Levi has been busy becoming a doctor and with this he can officially become a pharmaceutical scientist. Actually for the past few years he has already convinced his mother to open up a pharmaceutical company and because of that he manages to create a few useful medicines. The other worker has signed a confidential agreement and can’t tell the outside world that the medicine is created by an unlicensed physician.

 

There is another way, if he wanted to explore the universe, that is by joining the military or mercenaries. But he will die in the frontline with his strength right now and all the rules that he needs to follow, especially in the military.

 

To think, I need to follow a lot of procedures to become a doctor. In the Assiorath world, I just need to take a test and I already have a license to become a physician.

 

“Young master, we have already arrived.”

 

Entering the mansion, the butler Mr. David is already waiting at the door.

 

“David, does my mother already return?”

 

“Madam, will be coming home late today.”

“Now let’s test my strength.” I move toward the punching bag that has been made of good quality material that can even stop a bullet from assault rifles. At first I thought that humans no longer use firearms and use laser weapons.

 

But it turns out only an elite army can carry it, because in the past the enemy stole the laser weapon and used it against humans. Since then all the laser weapons required strict regulation to be used.

 

I take a deep breath and focus my energy on my arm. Thin transparent energy covers my arm. I punched the punching bag, without any resistance my arm pierce through the punching bag, after that the punching bag exploded.

 

Before the fragment of the punching bag hit me, I created a layer of transparent shield around my body. The shield is strong enough to stop a bullet, but I can’t maintain it for a long time. Because I don't have enough energy. I decided to call this energy, vital energy because the property and density of this energy is weaker than mana in the Assiorath world.

 

After ten years I only reached a peak of apprentice rank, after gathering vital energy in my heart and brain.

 

Looking at the destroyed punching bag, I need to buy another one. I have destroyed a lot of exercise equipment ever since I began training. My mother doesn’t say anything and buys a new one.

 

She must have thought I was releasing my stress by destroying the exercise equipment. But because of my hard work to become a doctor and not harm anyone, she just ignored it. With my help, her pharmaceutical company is making profit, the money that comes in is more than this exercise equipment.

 

For the servant mansion, they all behave well in front of me, to be precise they are afraid, even though I never do anything bad to them. But I can understand their feelings, if I am working for someone and that person acted like a crazy person by destroying stuff.       

 

I already read every martial art that I can find, most of them are the same training the body to become a weapon. The one that talks about gathering energy is about making your body healthier. In the end I need to find my own way, but I am not sure if all the planets have the same energy like this planet or stronger energy like mana.

 

For the magic information, it's mostly a trick, and cannot be proven by scientific organizations. Although it can't be proven there are planet native planets that use curses, at first the humans laugh about it. After what happened to the human general and higher-ups on that planet they all keep quiet about it.

All of them die without any cause. Because of that, humans decided to stop colonizing that planet. If the one that dies is a commoner, they don’t really care. But when the one that dies is an important person, they run away to save their life.   

 

It looks like the only way I can find out is to explore this planet first, because maybe there are areas with dense vital energy. There is other energy that I can use, cosmic energy. It’s the same as mana but more chaotic and impure. But I don’t have the material to gather that energy and purify it.   

 

The only problem right now is my mother, if I leave what will happen to her. Although she is not my real mother, this body is coming from her. After all the love and care she gives me I can’t just leave her.

 

I don’t know about this body father. Because there is no father name in the birth certificate. The only thing I know is the name of the hospital where I was born. When I ask about him, my mother changes the topic.

 

But I know my father has had several people watching over us, ever since I reached apprentice rank. My senses are more keen and I can detect a few people following me and my mother every time we leave the mansion. At first I thought there was a kidnapper or spy from another company but after I secretly left a few listening devices that I bought on the online black market.

 

I manage to listen to their conversation, about how their organization has been hired to protect me and my mother. The conclusion that I can think, is this body father. Why not my mother's family because my mother's parents already passed away, and she doesn't know her other relatives.

 

I begin exercising until the sun goes down, a hurried foot step can be heard outside the room.

 

“Young master, something happens to madam!”

 

“What!” Shock I quickly sprint to the door. “What happened?”

 

Opening the door, I see a middle aged butler, gasping for air. Mr. David has been working here since I was around 10 years old. At that time, my mother was busy with her business and decided to hire a butler to take care of the mansion and me.

 

“Terrorist attack, Madam is trapped inside a building.”

 

“What about the police?”

 

“The building is already being surrounded.”

 

“Who are the terrorist?” Calming myself down. I ask patiently because I know it would be useless if he panicked. 

 

“I don’t know; they don’t make any statement right now.”

 

“I understand, update me if anything happens.”

 

“Yes, young master.”

 

After the butler left, I took a deep breath and exhaled air out from my lungs. There are two type of terrorist in planet Otune. The native of this planet name stur, they look like humans but their forehead has several red vine patterns. Another one is humans, who are not satisfied with the government.

 

The explosive human population growth after colonizing other planets, causing the human leader to misuse their power. Because of that a human that has been oppressed fought back and created an organization. At first the human federation allowed their organization to exist, but after a long time that organization also became corrupt and committed a lot of crime.

 

“It’s useless to think, I better wait for the news. But if anything happens to my mother I will kill every person that is involved in this incident.”

 

If the butler is still there, he can see a bloodlust coming out from his young master body.

Near the mansion. A man and woman wearing civilian clothes are waiting inside a 2 floor building. “Have you called the HQ?” The female asked.

 

“I can’t get through.”

 

The woman is watching a TV and suddenly a news about the terrorist come out. They are now at the outskirts of the city.

 

Every time, when they finish guarding the mother and son secretly, they will gather inside this building. But today they couldn't contact their other team member, who was protecting the mother.  

 

“I can’t contact the HQ, let’s go.” The man said in worry tone.

 

“What about Levi?”

 

“It’s okay, he is inside the mansion, right now we need to check on the other team and Ms. Daisy.”

 

Both of them leave the building, without anyone noticing there are listening devices near the window.
