Chapter 41: Chapter 40: Hornet Nest. (3)

Inside my private room, the monitor screen is showing the intruder. As soon as they destroy the building's main entrance door. The alarm is already being activated. Actually I can kill them all inside the lift with explosives, but I decided to let my mutant soldier take care of it. I already sent them a message to get ready.  

 

“They are slow, let me help you.” I press my keyboard and enter a password.

 

The large metal door opens and slides to both sides.

 

“Good job.” The burly stur praise. 

 

The short stur makes a puzzled expression because he hasn't cracked the system. “But I haven’t done anything.”

 

“Don’t be modest, let's go!”

 

The short stur try to explain, but the rest of the stur already enter.

 

There is a long corridor after entering the metal door. They find out both sides of the wall are see-through mirrors.

 

“What is that?” One of the stur pointed at the humanoid insect that sat in the corner of the room. Inside the see-through mirror, there are several creatures and humans with body parts like a beast.

 

“Ignore it, and keep moving.” The burly stur feels uneasy, since they enter.

 

The short stur realized something and spoke. “Sir, this might be a human experiment lab.”

 

“Bam!” They all heard a metal door behind them closed.

 

“Sir what should we do?” The stur is panicking. This place is creepy.

 

“Let’s find the control room to open the door.”

 

While they are moving, I watch them on the monitor. “This is boring.” I press a button and inside all the test subject rooms in the first area get flooded with gas. The test subject inside the room becomes agitated and wild. Some of them even attack the see-through mirror. “Time to open the cage.” 

 

“What happened?” The stur takes out their weapon and aims it at the mirror.  

 

“Don’t shoot, you will let the creatures inside escape!”

 

Hearing that all of them calm down. Suddenly all the see-through mirrors slide down into the floor and disappear. Both the stur and test subject look dazed.

 

“Roar!”

 

“Waaahhhhh!”

 

“Kill!”

 

The test subject inside the separate room. Come out and attack the stur freedom fighter.

 

“Fire!”

 

“Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!” Multiple bullets hit the test subjects and die after being pierced by the bullets. But some of them survive and manage to get near the stur.

 

“Everyone duck.!” After shouting, the man launches his rocket at the creatures that look like humanoid insects. “Kaboom!” The rocket exploded and engulfed the surviving creatures.  

 

“Do we manage to kill it?” The burly stur said. 

 

After a while they see creatures coming out from the fire and smoke. And the fire water sprinkler activates to put out the fire. The burned humanoid creature is still moving, but after several steps collapse to the floor.

 

“Sir, I think we should escape and just destroy the door using a rocket launcher.”

 

“How many rockets do we have left?”

 

“Two.” 

 

“We don’t know if the rocket can destroy the metal door. If we can’t find the control room, we shall destroy the door.”

 

They all begin moving until there are two paths in front of them. “Sir, what path should we take?” 

 

“Split into two groups and return to the metal door if anything happens.”

 

“Yes sir.” After they split, the short stur, join the other group.

 

Several minutes later they see another metal door. The short stur thought he needed to crack it, but the door automatically opened. Inside the room he sees a middle aged man with brown hair.

 

“You don’t move or you will die, let’s go and capture him. He must know the floor layout.”

 

The middle aged man doesn’t move. However, when the stur gets close he grabs one of the stur neck and snaps it like killing a chicken.

 

“What are you doing?” The stur pointed their firearms at the middle aged man. “Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!” None of the bullets hit the middle aged man because he moves fast evading the bullets.

 

“Stop that man movement.” The short stur exclaimed. After being surrounded, one of the stur jumps and hugs the middle-aged man, causing him to stop. Suddenly, the stur felt something pierce his body, and blood began to flow from his mouth. The middle-aged man's hand can be seen piercing through his body.

“Now!”

 

The stur holding the rocket launcher, launches the rocket at the middle aged man. “Kaboom!” The rocket exploded.

 

“Finally we managed to kill him.” This place is dangerous; they need to leave. When the fire is gone. What they see is a metal humanoid.

 

“What is that?”

 

While the stur is confused. The metal humanoid raises his arm toward the stur freedom fighter group. And multiple metal shapes like bullets come out from the metal humanoid palm.

 

“Ahhh.”

 

“Noooo.”

 

The bullet pierced through all of them. Not all of them are dead. Before the metal humanoid can finish them off. A voice came out from the room.

 

[“Devin stop and save one or two of them.”]

 

“I understand.” Devin was a doctor until his license was revoked. With his speed it's almost impossible for a normal human to stop him. He purposely gets caught and stops moving in order to put his body to the test. His body only have minor injury, but he won’t dare to test it with tank projectile or aircraft missile.

Devin transformation is unique, because it is a metal transformation. His entire body turned to metal. I still haven't found any side effects other than it consumes energy the same as other transformations. It looks like my vital energy has many functions. The reason I ask him to save them is because I want information.

 

Right now, the other stur group is in front of my private experiment lab. After opening the door, it was a massacre. All of them transform except for Arian and Logan. Mateo the middle aged man with gray hair and full beard. Transform into a Humanoid Komodo dragon. He launches at the burly stur.

 

“What!” The burly stur startled, but quickly shot the creatures in front of him with an assault rifle.

 

“Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!” The bullet doesn’t do any damage to the creatures.

 

The Humanoid Komodo dragon opens his mouth wide and bite the burly stur head off. Blood spurted from the neck, and the body collapsed to the ground. Mateo spit the burly stur head out of his mouth. And attack the remaining stur that has frozen in fear. 

 

Gianna and Sara begin tearing the stur body apart with their hands or claws. With a gun in their hands, Arian and Logan can only watch helplessly. They don’t want to accidentally shoot their ally. Although they will not get injured, but Arian and Logan don’t want to piss them off especially Gianna and Sara.   

 

Inside the room, I can only watch. The stur dies in a gruesome way. Body parts are all over the place. I cannot stop them in time from killing the stur.

 

All I can do is shake my head. It's time for me to absorb soul energy and question the intruder. I can get more soul energy as long as I can find their base. Of course, I will not attack the main base of stur freedom fighters; my target is other bases.

Today, the stur freedom fighters finally attacked the capital city. Because the military has been stationed outside of the city, it will take some time for them to arrive. The police are currently fighting with them.

 

“How many places have been attacked?”

 

“According to information five.There is one place that has not sent an emergency signal or called the police for help.”

 

“What place is that?”

 

“Pharherb pharmaceutical company building.”

 

“Focus on this place first, after that we will regroup with another group.”

 

“Kaboom!” One of the police cars got blown up. In confusion the stur begins to escape to the sewer. The same with other places, except for the Pharherb building.

 

When the police arrive at Pharherb building. The secretary Vivian inform them that the intruder already escaped. After that the police leave the building. Entering the lift, she goes up to the Mr. Levi office floor. Before entering the room, she tidies up her clothes, hair and glasses. She wakes up in a hurry after hearing the alarm. But Mr. Levi have order everyone to stay in their room. After that Mr. Levi have tell her to take care of the police. Knocking the door, Vivian enter the room.

I look at Vivian, at first I don’t want to do anything to her. But she might die in the future, if she is with me. And I never expect that the stur freedom fighter will be targeting my company.

 

“Vivian, do you know what I am doing on the restricted floor?”

 

“No.” Vivian shakes her head. The only thing she knows is that a lot of humans and creatures enter that floor. She has her own conjecture, but without any proof.      

 

There is a knock on the door. The one that entered is Elena, one of my human experiment scientists. “Mr. Levi, I have come; do you need anything?”

 

“Explain everything that we did on the restricted floor.”

 

Elena hesitates at first, after that begins to explain. How they used criminals as human experiments.

 

Vivian is not surprised, she already suspected a human experiment.

 

I smile, she must have guessed it. This will make my job easier. “I have a proposition for both of you.”

 

Elena and Vivian look at me with puzzle faces.
