Chapter 5: Friday the 13th (2009) – Part 4

Hunter and Clay had already been walking in the forest for a while and had not yet found any trace of Jason. It was also true that they were still quite far from his base. There was also no sign of the cables he had used to figure out where the survivors were.

He had even thought about setting traps around the lake house. But he quickly discarded the idea that this might turn out to be a bad idea, because all the people there might have been more disadvantaged.

However, this situation alarmed him in no small measure! After all, when one knows that a definitely causal event will occur, it is better that its presence can cause a butterfly effect that will change something with 100% probability.

So he chose to try to use this causality in his favor. He took the utility knife and the bowie knife from his backpack. He put the former, trying not to be seen, in Clay's backpack, while the latter he held in his hand for personal safety, I better instinct.

But it has a certain point, after the two continued walking for a while Hunter's danger senses went completely on high alert.

"Wait Clay," whispered Hunter, looking carefully at the forest.

Clay paused at his words. But when they have loud footsteps come in their direction Hunter promptly grabbed Clay's arm as he dragged him to hide.

Loud footsteps and also something being dragged caught his eyes. A large man in a mask dragging two bodies for who's where....

But why did he have a weapon? Hunter could see an axe with him, but Jason should not have anything like that at this point in the film. Hunter remembered the details of this scene. He remembered that Jason would move with Nolan's and Chelsea's bodies.

"Ding" "Ding" Ding"

The silence of the forest was broken by the ringing of a cell phone. Jason's footsteps stopped suddenly as he dropped the bodies he was carrying and ran in their direction with axe in hand.

"Way to go Bree! The call came at exactly the right time!"

"Run Clay!" shouted Hunter, she could not let him kill yet. It wasn't time yet; he had other plans for him.

"BOOM!

Jason's axe came very close to their faces and then drove into the bark of the tree. The two immediately took the opportunity to flee and take a better position. Jason wielded the axe with truly monstrous force that shattered most of the tree, so much so that they realized he had no problem cutting a grown man in two.

As Clay ran. Hunter was facing the leader of this world, he had one chance: if he failed, Jason would kill him. He did not know how much this part had changed because of his interference, but he could only trust himself, as always.

Hunter put all his concentration on Jason who was standing in front of him. One second, two seconds, it was as if time had slowed down in this life-or-death situation. He could not feel anything and his surroundings felt slowed down.

A stiff, dignified voice rang out from Hunter's ears. But he could not pay attention to it all his attention was on Jason. Finally, the moment he jumped with his axe in hand, Hunter threw himself to the ground dodging his attack by grabbing his Bowie knife to stab him in his exposed knee, hoping to slow him down and had succeeded for a few seconds.... Before seeing him charge at him again with much energy.

But fortunately that was not his only trump card as he grabbed a fragmentation grenade and removed the safety by pulling out the ring on the left side of the aluminum warhead and threw in his legs.

Hunter gave a big smile as he stated, "Man I want to tell you a universal truth, art is an explosion!"

*BOOOM*

The fragmentation grenade exploded causing a large and a great sea of fire engulfed both Jason and Hunter, fortunately the latter had jumped back to mitigate the damage of the explosion.

A suicide tactic! Even then, though, Hunter had a smile on his face. He was really enjoying himself

But even then Hunter was still a normal human being, such a point-blank explosion left him in serious condition. He could feel his whole body injured and definitely had some broken bones, also his ears were completely gone for the time being he couldn't hear anything.

The determination to live, to survive any world despite the foolishness to enjoy, until the day I wish to return to my boring world worth only books and movies. That's why what I have to do now is to win!

"Everything according to plan" I think Hunter with a really scary expression, similar to the demons in the movies.

Hunter felt a great force rise from his body as a stiff, dignified voice echoed in his head, but he could not register it or care where it came from. The pain in his body also subsided to some extent. And so he got up with enough ease, Clay and was shocked to see him stand up as if nothing had happened to me.

"Let's go now!"

Clay quickly nodded as he followed Hunter for direction on the lake crate. Arrived Hunter and fell to his knees, the loss of much blood earlier after being hit. He had also forced his body into that situation and continuing to run had pushed him beyond his limits, it also did not help that his lungs were full of smoke and he was struggling to breathe.
