Harvey went back to work after a seven-day vacation or a seven-day dangerous encounter. He entered the office with a sunny expression. His officemates stared at him with confusing faces. One of his fellows asked, "What happened to you yesterday? You were wearing night pants last day."

Harvey remembered and quickly stopped his hurried steps. He turned his head and faced his fellow "Really? I don't remember. Maybe, you were mistaken." Harvey uttered and rushed away. His officemates witnessed him running away and burst into a laugh.

In his office, he was all alone so he just languidly walked towards his table. He opened his phone to play some lively music and swayed his body along with the beats. He felt very happy as he moved his body. When he was having fun, his phone rang. "Hello."

"Is this Mr. Harvey Cruz?", the other line asked.

"Yes, who is this?", Harvey questioned.

"This is the police station. There was an accident and it involved Mrs. Cruz. Are you her son?", the police said.

The phone call hung up and Harvey quickly went out. He drove his motorcycle at a fast speed going to the hospital. His mind was blank as he drove. He did not know what to do.

Harvey reached the hospital and searched his mother's room. He asked the nurse where his mother's room was located. The nurse gave him the news and it shocked him. She directed Harvey to the morgue. Harvey was taken aback and can't hold his tears. The nurse said, "Condolences." Harvey sobbed when he saw his mother's corpse. She was no longer breathing.

Harvey screamed, "Ma, wake up. Wake up, ma."His tears fell and his body weakened. He cried and cried as he watched his mother.

The nurse was still there and she comforted the man, "Don't worry anymore. Your mother will now be in peace."

"No! Ma, wake up.", Harvey hugged his mother tightly and his tears drenched the thin blanket that covered his mother.

The nurse was going to get out but unexpectedly, there was someone at the doorway. She stepped back when he saw the handsome man. "Sir, are you his family too?"

"Yes, I am the boyfriend.", Zion told the nurse directly. The nurse was puzzled if this man

was the dead woman's boyfriend or the man. So, she blinked her eyes and gave way to the man.

Zion approached Harvey who was still hugging his mom. He held his hand to Harvey's back and

massaged it gently. Harvey felt someone behind him and he checked the man. Zion comforted him and said, "Your mother will be now in peace." Harvey with teary eyes watched him. He unconsciously hugged the man tightly and said, "Mama died. I can't bear it. I will miss my mother very much."

Zion was surprised when Harvey hugged him suddenly so he just patted Harvey's back. He uttered,

"Don't worry. I am here to protect you."

The two men hugged each other for a long time. Harvey was still weeping while embracing the man. Suddenly, his snot flowed down and fell into Zion's shoulder. He ignored it but Zion noticed it and said, "You make my shirt a rag, huh?".

Harvey was still crying as he had no time to joke. Zion did not utter another word anymore, he just kept his mouth shut.

After a while, Harvey withdrew his hug and said, "I am sorry. I'm just overwhelmed."

"It is okay. Don't cry anymore. You can cry today but not forever. So, help yourself to move on.", Zion comforted the man.

The happy day turned gloomy. Earlier, he was sunny but now he was drenched with tears.

After nine days, Harvey's mother was delivered to the cemetery. As he watched his mother's coffin buried into the ground, he wasn't crying anymore. On his side, Zion stared at him sideways and observed the man's expression. Harvey was very quiet and didn't utter a word.
