Chapter 8: Chapter 8: A Normal Day

After having a hearty meal and spending an annoying yet enjoyable time with his family Ichigo went to his bed. Sleep was of vital importance if he wanted his body to heal quickly so he decided to be extra careful about it from now on till his body recovers completely. The next day just like the day before, he got up on time and ate breakfast before getting ready for school.

Ichigo put on his socks before putting on his shoes. He made sure to knot his shoelaces extra tightly a habit he had instilled in himself after experiencing a passionate kiss with the concrete in his past life. Bidding goodbye to his sisters he went out of the door not forgetting to close it. Looking at the blue cloudy sky so early in the morning made his mood quite pleasant.

Taking a deep breath in as his lungs welcomed the fresh morning air he started moving. Ichigo had just turned from his gates towards his school's direction when he was meant with the figure of a woman waiting by the wall.

Tatsuki had been staring at the ground for a while as she waited for Ichigo outside. Her calmed heart started to beat rapidly again as she felt his footsteps moving towards her. The moment he passed his gates she turned towards him making him pause. Tatsuki felt that her heart might have jumped out of her chest if it was not connected to her body.

Looking at the unsure eyes of Tatsuki who after staring at him looked downwards to avoid his gaze Ichigo understood that she wanted to talk to him about yesterday's event. "Sorry for making you wait Tatsuki, let's go," Ichigo said and started walking forward. Tatsuki who was not expecting things to go this way was stumped for words as she saw the figure of Ichigo moving.

She hurriedly turned around and quickly matched Ichigo's pace before saying "N-no need to be sorry...it was me who didn't tell you about it." She said.

"That's good to hear, I thought you had telepathically told me that you were waiting for me but I was unable to hear it." Ichigo said.

"Mhm...Huh? Telepathically?" Tatsuki asked curiously.

"You know...they say..when two people are in love they can read each other's mind," Ichigo said and looked into her eyes while smiling.

Tatsuki who was not expecting such an attack by Ichigo quickly avoided his eyes and blushed hardly thinking about his words before speaking out in an embarrassed and annoyed manner "It feels like you're having fun teasing me...."

"Ofcourse, you look even more beautiful when you're embarrassed," Ichigo said not minding the angry gaze that contained a hint of embarrassment looking straight at him.

Tatsuki once again felt her heart flutter but she, fortunately, was able to control her reaction this time and just turned her head forward to look at the path ahead. They kept on walking silently for a while not talking to each other. The silence helped in calming Tatsuki's heart as she finally readied herself to talk about what her decision was.

"I-Ichigo." Tatsuki finally said as they were halfway to the school.

"Hmm?" Ichigo replied 

"Regarding yesterday. I think I need more time to consider it..." Tatsuki said unsure of how Ichigo would react to her words.

"Sure..." Ichigo replied instantly.

"Huh?" Tatsuki voiced out not expecting such a quick reply from him.

"Take all the time you need because once you've agreed on it. You're gonna be mine forever Tatsuki." Ichigo said as he grinned.

Tatsuki felt like kicking Ichigo for being so cheeky but a part of her was happy hearing such a reply from him. She could only harrumph and increase her pace leaving Ichigo behind for the whole journey. Unbeknownst to her though, during the whole journey, Ichigo enjoyed looking at her small bouncy behind from time to time.

If Tatsuki had known that then going ahead of Ichigo would have been the last thing on her mind. She might have even taken a different route to the school. Nothing happened in between and the two soon reached the classes. Ichigo saw Orhime jumping towards Tatsuki the moment she had her eyes on her before controlling her excitement as she soon saw Ichigo's figure that was not far behind her.

Ichigo could only inwardly chuckle seeing her react like this as he said "Good morning Inoue."

"G-Good morning Kurosaki Kun." Orihime said in a low voice. Seeing Orihime like this Tatsuki couldn't help but feel guilty deep inside her. 

Ichigo soon walked beside them and entered the class. Everyone was present there like usual and after wishing them all he sat down on his seat all ready to attend the boring classes. The classes went on one after another and in order to curb his boredom, Ichigo at times answered a few questions. This led to him getting some extra brownie points in the teacher's books.

During the lunch break, he had his lunch in the classroom along with Chad and the others. It had its own kind of fun as they talked about some stupid stuff and laughed on it. After growing up Ichigo kind of missed talking about such senseless stuff with his friends so being able to experience this feeling again made him quite happy.

Classes continued on after lunch and finally, school was over. Tatsuki decided to tag along with Orihime so Ichigo just walked home alone. Reaching home he washed his hands and went to the kitchen to grab some snacks before going to his room. Karin and Yuzu would return back home in a few minutes so he planned to have lunch with them.

Opening the door to his room Ichigo was met with an unexpected guest.

"What's with the look boy? I can't come here?" Yoruichi said in her cat form.

"Well... it's not right to come to someone's room like this right?" Ichigo reasoned.

"I believe saving your life has already granted me the ability to  ignore that right?" Yoruichi replied.

"T-that's..true." Ichigo said after a moment.
