(Trigger Warning: Intense Violence, Gore)
“So Mister…Um…what is your name?” Said Li still maneuvering her hands with simple gestures.
“My name…oh right my name is Dante, Dante Enfarnando. Nice to meet you.” I said ecstatically.
“Dante? That’s not a common name around here, Yet it sounds familiar…hm…anyway…Where are you from?”
“España.”
“Es pan huh?” She asked in an incredibly confused manner.
Got to remember, I’m not on earth. Not everyone here is going to know what I’m talking about.
“It’s just my country…or rather what you people call a sector.” I said trying to sound as non-condescending as possible.
“Well, what is it like? I’ve only ever lived here in the farm sector of Demonlandia. I would love to go somewhere nice. Do they have libraries in Es-Pa-Nya?” Said Li became Giddy once they mentioned a library.
“Yes, there are many but many people in my cou…I mean sectors that don’t know how to read. Luckily I had friends who taught me how to read various books. Especially my friend Ignacio. Although he mostly just read one book.”
“And what book was that?” Said Ai with a hint of curiosity.
“It was a book about a god that didn’t exist. One worshipped to the point of stealing land and…I’d rather not talk about it…but yes, Books are amazing.” I said regaining a softer voice after having just sounded gloomy when mentioning the Bible.
If gods existed in this world, then I was proof that they existed. Unlike the god of my world. There was no proof of him. All there was one book claiming his existence blindly followed. At least here I wouldn't have to follow a god that forced me to…do things.
“Oh, well, here in Demonlandia there are many gods and they exist. With much more proof than I assume your god had,” said Ai Li trying to negate the conversation away from what I had just said.
“Let’s hope…so, are all the sectors connected to…what did you call it…Demonlandia?” I asked with the utmost curious tone.
“Yes, well, we call this entire land Demonlandia. All we are is just one large land surrounded by water. Demonlandia was what we call the entire land. But since there are many people here so we often cut it up into many different sectors. There are at least seven of them if I’m not mistaken.” Ai Li said rubbing her chin with her right hand while maneuvering the balls of wind with the other.
“So, these other sectors? What purpose do they serve? Is there a ruler in charge or is there one big collective of people who rule or?”
“Well, there are currently seven sectors each split up. And there is currently one ruler we call Emperor Lixin. But, he does not rule the best…ah jeez…not now.” Ai Li said stopping the carriage and lightly landing on the dirt road.
The reason we had stopped was peculiar, to say the least. What looked to be male soldiers appearing out of thin air approached us holstering their weapons. Their entire bodies were covered in armor with their faces being the only thing that wasn’t protected. A blue-skinned man, a bright white-skinned man, and a yellow-skinned man were all staring us down from below with a look of wanting trouble. These men wearing what looked like battle armor made of black painted steel, metallic boots, and a large metallic battle helmet with red clothing under it. Their weapons were muskets holstered in their hands with a sword by their side. They must have been walking in our direction when they saw us moving upward on the dirt road. But what would soldiers want with a small carriage on farmland?
“Well little miss, we’re going to have to confiscate this vehicle from you, order of the General Lao of sector seven. All farming vehicles at this time must be taken for…inspection.” Said the blue-skinned man with a devious smile.
“Well, I know for a fact that isn’t true.” Ai Li said moving her hand behind her in what looked like a dagger scabbard.
“And why would that be a problem miss?” Said the yellow-skinned man with a long smirk.
“Because this order of supplies is for General Lao and his kids. I doubt that he wouldn’t have said anything about it.” Said Ai Li Slowly unsheathing a small blade from behind her.
Each of the men began to grind their teeth and slowly lift their guns as Ai Li stared them down with a devious smile of her own. But right before she give any kind of attack on these men she had one taunt left up her sleeve.
“And you know, If you’re going to steal soldiers’ clothes, make sure to wipe the blood off them FIRST!” Said Ai Li right as she threw her small dagger into the mouth of the blue-skinned man.
With white blood gushing out of the blue-skinned mouths mouth his screaming became loud and vocal. Each of the men didn’t bother to surrender as aimed their weapons at us.
But Ai Li was too quick for them anyway.
BLAM! BLAM!
As both of the men stood there both were astonished to see that both Ai Li and myself were completely fine. The bullets that nearly hit us floating in the air moving and twitching with such ferocity it was outstanding. Ai Li herself was controlling the bullets from hitting us with the same airballs that she had used to move the carriage but only smaller. With a simple hadn’t maneuver the bullets flung into the air.
“So boys, do you really want to mess with me….WOAH!” Said Ai Li nearly dodging the swipe of a blade from the white-skinned man.
“You bitch! I’ll kill you!” Said the white-skinned man swiping right to left with his blade making both of us fall off the carriage.
“ERGH!” I proclaimed falling onto the wet dirt road
“AUGH…Are you alright?” Ai Li had just fallen on top of me.
“Yeah, I’m fine…WOAH!” I said nearly dodging a beheading attempt by one of the men.
With each of us now back on our feet, Li began to move her hands gently and fiercely as I unsheathed my blade. The blue-skinned man had survived the injury yet the blade still remained in his mouth. The blue-skinned man and yellow-skinned man bolted forwards at me and Ai Li hoping to strike.
SLASH!
SWISH!
But were met with my blade and a blade made of harsh wind from Li instead. Each swing of our blades showed that these men had not much experience in fighting as both of them swung their swords recklessly as if they had no semblance of tactics.
Wait? Wasn’t there a white-skinned man as well…
SLASH!
“ERGH!…Bas…tard…” Said Ai Li falling to the floor after having just been stabbed in the stomach by the white-skinned man from behind.
“LI! You bastards…ARGH!”
SLASH!
The bastards slashing my arm was something I didn’t need right now. I needed to be helping people not fighting bandits. Even though they had slashed my arm that held my sword I could still…fight…
SLASH!
And just like that my head went flying off my body. And yet I did not die. How could I? After all, I was already dead. With Ai Li on the floor bleeding out and me missing a head was just making my situation seem dire. If I was still alive with my head sliced clean off could I place it back onto my body? I couldn’t die so maybe I could heal if I reattached my head?
But yet something else happened to my body.
The curse mark began to ooze blood as I could feel pain even with my head cut off. It made me want to scream but I couldn’t no matter how I tried. I could only whimper and cry as both the pain of being unattached to my body and the curse mark kicked in.
“It’s best we get to this camp leader. If this really is General Lao’s stash for his family there’s no telling what could be in it.” Said the yellow-skinned man looking at the carriage.
“Well, first we got to get Sicong back to camp and get him healed. The last thing we want is for him to die like this…” Said the white-skinned man moments before his doom.

SMASH!
A tall humanoid beast with the head of a serpent and a body made of human-like muscles crushed the white-skinned man’s head. As the white-skinned man fell to the floor the serpent head beast turned his head towards the other men. As the other men backed up in horror three other serpent-headed beasts appeared from behind with raised fists.
“WAIT! WAIT! WAIT!” Both of them exclaimed as the serpents fist bashed their heads in.
SMASH! SMASH!
As both of the men fell to the floor each of the serpent beasts slammed onto the floor knees first and stuffed their mouths full of their flesh. None of them talked to each other, none of them negotiated who would eat who or anything. They just ripped off their armor and began stuffing their mouths with their flesh.
I don’t know where they were coming from but I knew that Ai Li was still alive. They would definitely get to her next If I did nothing. Guess this was the universe’s way of telling me that now was the time to act. But my head was still unattached from my body. It wasn’t like my head would re-appear on my body…
“Ergh…argh…AHHHHHHHH…ACK!” I proclaimed as what I thought wouldn’t happen literally happened.
As my head had regrown back into my body I could feel things were back in order except for my inability to breathe. But that didn’t matter I just had to get to Ai Li and get her out of…here…
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” Screamed Ai Li as the beasts began slowly opening her wound.
“HEY!…ERGH!…My chest…it hurts!” I proclaimed as my chest began to gush out even more blood than before.
Yet as soon as I screamed in pain those damn beasts turned their heads looking directly at me.
And then it hit me.
This damn curse mark attracts and summons beast-like creatures. That’s why in the forest all those humanoid ghouls were after me. What a lovely curse this is!
As each of the beasts approached me with quick swallowing of the pain I set my eyes on the one nearest me. My sword wasn’t going to be anywhere near powerful to fight these beasts…but that magic…the one Ai Li was using. How did she do it? There had to be more than just simple hand maneuvering for me to use what she did. Was it her breathing maybe? Did she breathe someway or did she…what the hell did she do?
As they quickly approached I had to do something quick and fast or else they’d tear Ai Li. Sure I didn’t know her well or at all. But I had to at least try…I had to be a savior…not someone who does harm.
What did she do?
She closed her eyes.
Ok got that down.
She maneuvered her hands like this.
Ok, now what?
Wait…I can see something. It’s the outside but everything is made of colored dots. Was this what she saw? What would I do with this?
What…the blue dots around me…there turning red.
As each of the blue dots around me turned red with each movement of my hands I could see them flowing around me. Around my sword and my chest…all of it connecting. But as the beast was near inches I could feel something I hadn’t felt in a long time.
Rage.
“ERRRRRRRRRRRRR AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”
SLASH!
“Argh….Monoos trumipiah! Monoos Trumpiah!” Shouted one of the beasts I had just sliced their arm clean off.
Looking back at my sword I could see that it was covered in a red mist. The red mist glowing like fire on a torch. It was like a beating heart and I was controlling it.
But the more I stood there…the more pain I could feel surging through me. It was like someone had poured boiling hot water down into my veins and it was now flowing through me. My skin felt as if It was burning, the curse gushed out what felt like barrels of blood and my eyes felt like they were going to pop out of my head. But yet I felt powerful, I felt rejuvenated….
…I felt like I could take on the world.
As one of the serpent beasts approached me I could feel a violent air ball flowing at the edge of my sword.
“Lognisia Cocarnartia!”
SMASH!
As the beast nearly missed me and hit their fists onto the ground…it left them wide open for an attack.
“EAT THIS MAGGOT!” I shouted pointing the edge of the blade with the raging ball of air into their chest.
SWISH! SWISHITY! SWISH!
“ARRRRRGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” Proclaimed one of the beats as their chest began to widen splattering white blood out of their body like a speeding cogwheel.
The more the violent ball turned within the beast the more its insides gushed out. The more it screamed the more it tried to run away. The more It begged for his friends the happier I became.
I could feel this overwhelming sense of joy watching this pathetic waste of space soon-to-be maggot-filled beast suffer. All I wanted to do was laugh…Ah what the hell…
“AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!…ACK!…so…much…pain…sigh.” I said falling onto the ground in exhaustion.
For being dead I sure could feel exhausted without feeling like I needed to breathe. A peculiar feeling…a peculiar...feeling…
Sigh.
…
“AUGH! Where…where am I?!?” I proclaimed as I awoke in a new area.
The room was that of a farmhouse cabin with wooden logs for walls. The bed being made of blue sheets that looked stained with what I could assume was my blood. The room itself smelled like a farmer’s den with what looked to be small paintings surrounding the walls. A lamp illuminating the room from the darkness outside. It was pitch dark outside, with no light, no sign of the planets, or even visible mountains.
And yet in all of the features in the room lay something right dab in the middle of it. A lone sitting man wearing farmer garments with orange skin. As he saw me wake up his look of anger resonated throughout the entire room. He looked like a man in his forties with wrinkles and facial hair to boot. His hair may have been fading with age but the dead eye look hadn’t. The musket he carried in his hands said otherwise as he got up and aimed it at my head.
“I’m going to ask this and I’m only going to ask this once…what the hell did you do to my daughter!?!”
