The day is December 5th. That's 20 days from Christmas, which is actually my favorite holiday.

The snow and the atmosphere is grand. The bubbly feeling and nostalgic smells of your childhood. The upbeat tempo of Christmas songs, vivid decorations in and outside houses.

Let's not forget about good old Saint Nick aka Santa Claus. Mr. I know whose been naughty and whose been nice. If I was a little kid again, I probably would have received enough coal to power a stream train for an entire week.

Finals are looming over us and class 1-4 actually are in high spirits due to their recent class clash first place win.

The addicting taste of victory is quite something. I wonder if that would motivate them to work together a bit more, inorder to keep biting into it.

I relaxed in my seat and then put my head on the desk.

Let me tell you, it was annoying, dodging all those questions from my classmates in regards to how we won.

Eventually, they all settled on the fact that it was miscommunication on the end of the opposing classes and we should consider ourselves lucky.

Minori on the other hand didn't really say much but that's just Minori at this point. If she has something to say then she'll speak to the other students but if not, she will keep her silence.

Similar to me in a sense because I really only speak when spoken to but still try to keep a surface level friendship with the others.

Miss Aiko who sat at her desk, seemingly ignored the noise from the class.

After a bit. She got up and said, "How does it feel get your first win?"

Genji kicked his feet up on the desk and replied, "It's about dang time we got one."

Sena gave herself a face palm and said, "You are sure kicking up your feet like you contributed to the win Genji."

Genji who still kept his feet up, "It was a team effort and thanks to the person who betrayed the opposing classes. The individual will most likely be in class 1-1 since it should be extremely difficult for a class 1-3 student."

Heh? Genji is actually showing some sign of intelligence. I am starting to think that his air head behavior is most likely an act after all.

Yogi laughed and said, "That's correct and Genji was a vital part of this win, because he kept the pressure on class 1-2 students by putting them under a magnifying glass. Due to that, they couldn't pull any fast ones but what I don't understand is how the envelope ended up being found by an upper year student."

I shifted my eyes on Minori who kept her calm.

Sena added in, "Either way, a win is a win at this point and Kaori, you should start adding your input in class discussions. Sometimes I keep forgetting you're in the class along with Kai."

Kaori laughed nervously, "Sorry about that, I'll try my best."

I shifted my eyes to her next.

I am still curious to know who's the guy from the other night. Should I ask her outright? No she'll just put 2 and 2 together then figure out I was the person watching them.

Yogi exhaled and said, "Don't forget about our agreement with class 1-2. We have to brace ourselves for the potential risks."

That deal with class 1-2 wasn't part of my plan. Minori made that move on her own accord, nevertheless I can find some benefit from that.

I should ask Yuka to see the written agreement in person, just to ensure that she doesn't alter the photo of it. I can't forget that she is similar to me in a sense due to her way of thinking but she doesn't pull strings.

Yuka does her dirt out in the open and washes her hands clean before anyone notices it. If I had to describe her in my own words, they would be someone I can't relax around and a person I can't manipulate.

Miss Aiko then retook her seat, "The rest of the class is free, so do as you see fit."

Sena popped up and said out-loud, "Let's play truth or dare."

Genji, Yogi and a couple other students agreed to it.

Sena then turned her head towards me, "Are you playing Dante?"

I mean there isn't any risk because I'll just pick truth and lie. On the other hand, the dares would be tame.

I replied in a nervous tone, "Yeahhhhhhh."

Of course, Minori didn't take part but she still hung back in class for whatever reason.

The game started and I wasn't really paying much attention because I was sending a couple of text messages.

Suddenly, Sena broke my focus by asking me, "Truth or Dare."

I pretended to think about it and settled on truth.

I kept my eyes on my phone.

Sena asked, "Who is your first kiss?"

A text message came in on my phone and I was so engrossed in reading the message that I didn't hear the question properly.

I muttered under my breath, "Stop playing around Yuka..."

Everyone paused when they heard it and looked at me.

Heh? What's the matter?

I looked at them in a confused manner and they looked at me, in a surprised one. Minori kept her head straight but still side eyed me.

Genji almost fell out of his seat when he said, "Your first kiss was Yuka Higashi!?"

I stopped breathing when I realized my mistake and denied it instantly.

"No, no you guys are mistaken."

Sena pressed the matter further, "So why did you say Yuka's name?"

In a nervous manner, I waved my hands and replied, "I just received an email from her."

Genji raised his eyebrows, "I remember you asking me about her and now you guys are exchanging emails, I wonder what happened during that class clash."

I lightly banged my head on the desk and said, "She was just officially thanking me for working with her without any issues doing the clash. You guys are overthinking it."

Sena replied, "Alright we'll go with that Dante. If that's the case then that means you haven't kissed anyone yet?"

Yup. They will always have the idea in their head that I kissed Yuka. Well it's better than them asking me if I kissed Minori. That would have been a potential nuclear bomb in the form of Minori going off.

I raised my head from the desk, "Nah. Kissing doesn't really seem exciting to me so I never really thought about doing it."

Genji shook his head and replied, "You're a strange guy indeed Dante."

I kept my silence.

A couple minutes later. The bell rang and I prepared to leave the classroom when Miss Aiko asked me to stay back.

I waited for everyone to vacate before approaching her desk.

"What do you want now?"

She sighed and replied, "Is that anyway to speak to your teacher?"

I sat on the desk closest to her table, "Since the term started, you haven't really taught me anything revolutionary, and then you even attempted to blackmail me. So can you really be classified as my teacher? I'll put you more along the lines of shady person and my partner in crime."

Miss Aiko resisted urge to fling her red ink pen at me and said, "Quite the cheeky student aren't you."

I sighed, "What do you want? Our class placed first in the last clash and we currently have 23 points at our disposal. It should be enough to start raising stakes at the next class clash."

She tapped the bottom of her pen on the desk, "Whatever stakes you decide to raise probably won't be accepted by the class and Yogi so how you do plan to deal with that?"

I got off from the desk and replied, "I'll find a way around it eventually. All I need to do is send a written Raised Stakes offer to another class right?"

"Yes but only class leaders are allowed to send a Raised Stakes offer to another class leader because both of their signatures are needed to make it valid."

"I see."

Miss Aiko then started to pack some items into her handbag.

"You should consider becoming class leader Dante. After all, the reason why the class has a fighting chance now is because of your behind the scenes work."

I adjusted my book-bag on my back and replied, "I dislike positions that leave me exposed to attacks and even if I did become leader, I'll never get a moment's peace."

Me taking on the mantle of a class leader will just raise hell in my school life. So I think I'll try to avoid that and salvage whatever little peace I have left.
