Chapter 1: Opening

*pa pa pa pa pa pa pa*

"Sigh", Michael sighed as the sound of aggressive pounding and clapping could be heard from his neighbors room.

"Yes, yes....harder.....faster"

He had been going through this since he moved in four years ago.

He had tried making a noise complaint to his landlord but nothing was done about it and he was even laughed at and scorned by his neighbor.

"Little white faced bastard" Michael cursed under his breath.

He stood up from his bed and took his coat off the hanger, he picked up a matchbox that had been laying on the table unused for the past few hours and walked out of the one room apartment he was renting.

Obviously he was going out for a smoke.

The past few weeks have been unforgiving to Michael, he received an E-mail stating the debt his late dad had left to him just after getting laid off at work for "lazy animation" according to his supervisor.

He was fired from his job at a start-up game development company, where he took on the job of three departments; Developer, Animator and 3D modeler.

Taking the last puff of the cigarette he got from a store nearby a bitter smile crept up his face, he remembers how miserable his life had been, his dad was a heavy gambler and once used his mother's body as a wager, he lost obviously and his mom committed suicide the next day due to the way she was treated by the gang members his dad made a bet with.

" 'He was a 36 year old failure' is what is going to be written on my tombstone I am sure, hell that's if I even get a tombstone I might just be fed to some rich man's fishes ".

 He had decided he was going to do it tonight, end it all, close the sad sad chapter of the book called life, jump off and die but for some reasons he couldn't bring himself to take that step.

"I'm a coward" he said to himself before turning and heading back home.
