After the African Civil Unrest in 1975 that lasted until 1990, various new nations were formed but quickly collapsed due to power struggles, rebellion, and more, however, one country stood, a country bordering Egypt and Sudan in the lake of Nubia, the Free Republic Of Lobelia, despite facing hardship in its first decades of formation, its people united and faced challenges, despite the meager resources and land the country had, its people find ways to cultivate the land, with the government leading the plans, they were successful in making the land farmable, growing crops that can withstand intense heat and thanks to greenhouses, the country became a peaceful stable nation.

However, it didn't last long.

On December 5, 2002, a group of experts hired by the government surveyed the land, the survey lasted for a year, and by September 13, 2003, it was discovered that the country was situated on a large deposit of oil that was estimated to be beyond 99 billion barrels of oil untouched.

The discovery was quickly kept secret from the government, however, massive companies and personalities eventually heard of the discovery, which caused a massive investment in the country, which the government reluctantly accepted.

Everything seemed great at first, but the country quickly rose from an average 3rd world country to a 1st world country in 2013; however, the inevitable happened, due to poor economic planning because of how fast the economy was growing, the government became lax and new laws and constitutions were made; however, those laws favored companies investing in the country, to gain more profit in the oil trade.

In the early year of 2014, the government was divided into many factions, oppositions, and groups, corruption became rampant in all the governments and departments of Lobelia, and eventually, news of the assassination was widespread, the laws protecting the rights of laborers were abolished to milk them dry.

The country was in chaos, first were just protests, but due to the high corruption, riots became widespread, then rebels started to form, and to add salt to the wound, terrorists contracted by the nearby countries entered Lobelia, resulting in armed conflicts.

On March 10, 2017, the Independence Day of the Free Republic of Lobelia, a mixed civil war finally, broke out. Different factions kill each other for power, and the past ambition of a peaceful and bountiful country sworn by the heroes of Lobelia was set aside for an ambition of power and wealth.

The civil war lasted only for a year, on January 5, 2019, a man named Wendell Al Nubia, a 25-year-old man, formed the New Lobelia Rebellion, seeking to restore the old peaceful county of Lobelia.

His patriotism for the country and people's rights and freedom won the heart of the masses. 

He fought against the opposition and corrupted government and arrested officials while obeying the rules of war and human rights of the United Nations, even inviting foreign media and delegates to prove he was following the rules and seeking to restore his chaotic country.

On May 9, 2021, Wendell ended the civil war in Lobelia and change the people in charge of the government, re-establish the country, and put himself as a dictator to stabilize the power in the government, he was recognized by the majority of the United Nations, the war took a toll in his country, what was built using hard work of the people was shattered and needed to be rebuilt, he used the confiscated money from the convicted government officials and company owners to rebuild infrastructure, for relief operations, medical operations and more.

Although the war was over, Wendell knew that in the future, he needed to face the still undefeated oligarchs, the ones who control the country after the discovery of oil and the rise of Lobelia, to weaken and dispose of them, he made a national order to stop the exportation of oil, which accounts up to 60% of the GDP of Lobelia, after the order was enacted, foreign immigrants left the country, so do the foreign companies.

Wendell plans to stabilize the country first, he knows how grave his decision was, however, if he doesn't do it now, the promise of a peaceful and bountiful land for his people will never come.

He then widespread farming once again, and although the income from farming isn't as much as the income from oil production, at least his country is at peace once again.

Unfortunately, while his people were content, it's not the case with other countries and major powers around the world, The Free Republic of Lobelia accounts for up to 4-6% of the global oil supply, thus when Wendell ordered to stop oil exportation, it significantly affected the global oil trade and triggering inflation of prices of not just oil.
