-The alarm went off. Doesn’t that mean that personal terminals are functional in here?
-Then, what kind of a place is this secret world?
-Could it be that this secret world isn’t related to the beast worlds?-
Many questions flooded into Zhang Che’s head, immediately waking him up fully, his grogginess clearing. However, he wasn’t able to reach any conclusions.
He turned off the alarm on his personal terminal and smiled wryly.
So what if he could use his personal terminal? The satellite’s signal couldn’t reach here anyway. His personal terminal was akin to an electronic watch, only useful for telling the time.
-Oh, right, if a day in the secret world is different from the outside world, then even it’s time measuring function will be greatly affected…
-I should go take a look outside first and see if the sky is bright. I can estimate the length of a day in here then.-
Thinking of that, Zhang Che stored his sleeping bag back into his spatial bracelet and had the Purple Crystal Tortoise go through the rock to scout things out at the mountain summit first, to check if there was any danger.
After a short while, the Purple Crystal Tortoise returned safely and expressed that it was safe out there.
It was only now that Zhang Che felt assured. He had the Purple Crystal Tortoise go ahead of them to clear the rocks at the cave entrance, while he and his capable babies would follow shortly thereafter.
As the rocks at the cave entrance were cleared away by the Purple Crystal Tortoise, ray upon ray of light shot in from above.
“Looks like the length of day is about the same as the outside world,” Zhang Che sighed in relief. He followed the winding tunnel and walked out of the cave.
After that, he stood there blankly.
Looking up to the sky, he realized that it wasn’t blue, nor did it have clouds. There was only a vast starscape in sight.
No, that wasn’t a starscape, either!
Zhang Che’s head raised slightly, his eyes filled with shock, looking at the “sky” over his head. He was dumbstruck for a long while before recovering from his shock.
That starscape wasn’t a starscape at all!
What was over his head was an endless rock wall, with crystals embedded in it, looking like pearls that glowed in the dark, emitting a soft light.
Looking at it from a broader perspective, it was like a slightly curved pot covering his head.
However, how was that endless rock body able to float in the “sky”? What was supporting it, allowing it to remain in position and not fall down?
This world was truly too mysterious. Zhang Che suddenly felt as if all that he knew was overturned. The sight before him was too bizarre, and yet it was indeed what he was seeing right now.
After a long while, he sighed faintly and rubbed his temples helplessly.
“What the heck is this freaking world exactly?”
He sat down on the mountain summit, brought out some breakfast and filled his stomach before scanning his surroundings.
His discovery last night was correct. There were indeed plants around, but perhaps due to the unique environment, the vegetation was extremely sparse, and wasn’t tall, either. Even the amount of bushes and wild grass was scarce.

Not only that, the vegetation here had a very gloomy color, with a tinge of ink green to their appearance. It didn’t give off any vital feeling at all.
On the other hand, all kinds of moss-like plants were growing everywhere, with various colors to them. At the very least, they brought some bright colors to this world.
Even so, those colorful mosses still gave off an overall gloomy appearance.
-It’s probably because there’s not enough light here…- Zhang Che could only attribute the cause of the problem to that.
Although the beast world didn’t have a sun either, it was still very bright during daytime. Also, the sky seemed boundless, and it was still considered a relatively normal world.
The secret world, on the other hand, was a little too strange.
-Are the insides of the past secret planes similar to this?,- Zhang Che wondered. Afterwards, he remembered what Huang Juyun said. Every secret world was different. After all, how could these strange worlds be identical? They should have their own uniqueness.
His surroundings were very quiet, almost no sound could be heard. However, Zhang Che was already numb to it, not paying any attention to it.
He raised his head and looked at the endless rock wall over his head, embedded with concentrated shimmering crystal objects, thinking whether he should ride the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon up to take a look. Those shimmering crystals should be good stuff, right?
Zhang Che was immediately tempted when he thought of that.
Instead of thinking, why not act on it!?
As such, Zhang Che recalled the rest of his babies with a wave of his hand and jumped onto the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon’s back. Afterwards, they took to the skies and flew towards the ceiling.
As they quickly flew higher, the scenery below entered Zhang Che’s sight more fully. Looking to the distance, mountain after mountain extended to the horizon, without any sign of ending.
The large amounts of beastmasters who had entered the secret world seemed to have disappeared without a trace. Zhang Che couldn’t see any of them.
However, there seemed to be some black dots moving in the sparse forest in the mountain range. Due to the distance, Zhang Che couldn’t tell exactly what creatures those black dots were, but he was certain they weren’t the beastmasters!
The Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon continued soaring higher, and the mountain range below continued extending to the horizons.
Gradually, Zhang Che noticed something amiss.
The Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon was at least several kilometers above ground now. However, that seemingly low rock wall over his head didn’t seem to get any closer at all.
The shimmering crystals emitting soft light were still about the size of a coin to his eyes.
-How strange… what exactly is this damn place!?,- Zhang Che nearly cursed out loud. All these illogical phenomena were about to drive him crazy!
Zhang Che was a stubborn person to his bones. He didn’t believe he would never reach the rock wall over his head. The Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon under him didn’t slow down, either, and continued flying higher.
—
In the end, Zhang Che was in despair.
No matter how high the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon flew, the rock wall over his head showed no signs of getting closer.
It was like the rock wall was rising higher as the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon flew higher.
“Let’s go down. There’s no need to continue flying higher,” Zhang Che said, patting the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon. He had finally given up and had the dragon descend.
This place was too strange. Zhang Che didn’t dare to remain so high up in the sky any more. The end result would be unthinkable if any powerful creatures set its eyes on him.
Alas, there were times when the more you were worried about something, the more that something would happen for real.
As the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon descended, Zhang Che suddenly saw a group of black dots flying towards him from very far away.
