Leo quickly connected to the university's server and was surprised to realize that some things were different.
Firstly, the game apparently had an independent leaderboard from the rest of the world, that is, the Top 100 players on this server were different from the Top 100 players worldwide.
Initially Leo thought that since this server was smaller and the Top 100 was independent from the rest of the world, the level on that server was probably lower than the open server, but Leo was shocked to find out he was wrong!
As Leo watched a live match of the players on Ranking Challenger, he discovered that despite the server being smaller, the level of play of these players was very high!
A minor mistake could be abused by the opposing team which would cause the team to lose the round.
While the rest of the world servers were more about a battle of who killed the most, on the MU server the game was more about strategy, as mechanically the players were quite similar.
After all, this was kind of obvious, as the players on this server were at least Awaken Bronze 3 Stars, and maybe there were even Pure Silver players! In terms of improving reflexes and hand-eye coordination, every MU student could fit in among the best in the world esports scene.
But of course, nobody there was interested in becoming an esports pro-player, after all, while the salary of one of the best pro-players could reach a maximum of $1,000,000, the salary of an ordinary Awaken Pure Silver 1 Star already it would probably be double that.
Not to mention that even if players got a little attention because of the game, it wouldn't be nearly as glorious and enviable as becoming a Pure Silver military man.
But for fun at the University, the game was still very useful. Having a private server just for students where the rankings were much more competitive was also much more fun and challenging.
Leo was using a new account as the last account he had used had been hack banned.
This account of his was nicknamed "URB4D", which stands for "You Are Bad". That's how Leo had fun playing, he used a provocative nickname, and when other people died for him they got angry, but seeing the nick of whoever killed them the anger increased several times over.
Regardless of whether he was on MU or the global servers, Leo was playing for fun, so he had no reason not to play the way he enjoyed, mainly because technically this time he wasn't going to use Hack, but his Quirk.
As this was a new account and he didn't know anyone at MU, Leo just put in to find a solo ranked game.
Even though the server was small, it was pretty quick to find a game.
As this was his first game on this account, Leo was paired up to play with other players in the Gold and Platinum rankings.
"Oh no, are you on my team again Harry?" A player complained in voice chat.
"Sorry dude, in the last game we were playing on a map that I'm not good at, in this game now I'm going to make up for the loss." The player nicknamed [HarryST] said in an apologetic voice.
"Just don't die so much, because of you the guys on the other team in the last game were full of money and even I couldn't carry it." The first player nicknamed the [2InchesHard] gave a hint.
"It's all right." [HarryST] responded by taking the tip seriously.
"Hey, who is this [URB4D]?" Another player asked confused as he had never seen anyone with that nickname.
"This guy's account is new, he must be a freshman who just joined MU. So newbie, don't sink the game." [2InchesHard] said.
As this time of year is when freshmen arrive at MU, it was quite common for them to hear that the university had a private server for this game and decide to download it to play with friends and veterans, but normally these people with new accounts were always very bad , which made veterans too lazy to play with them.
"Relax." It was the only thing Leo said before the match started.
Veterans thought this was just an arrogant rookie like the ones that appeared every year at MU, so they just ignored Leo and went back to talking to each other, since since the server was smaller, players of the same rank played together several times.
When the game started, Leo tried to activate his Wall-Hack and it really worked!!
But apparently, his Wall Hack only worked 100 meters from the character in the game, just like in real life.
But knowing that the Wall-Hack worked in the game, Leo was excited as the Aim-Bot would probably work too, and even the Speed-Hack!
Of course, while Aim-Bot and Wall-Hack were hard to prove hacks, if he used Speed-Hack it would be clear he was cheating so Leo decided to just use his first two abilities.
The game's map was quite large, so even with the Wall-Hack activated, Leo could only see the red outline of the players after they were halfway across the map.
But that didn't hurt anything for Leo, who just stood around protecting bomb site B.
The other players on his team were protecting the entrance to the middle of and bomb site A.
Nobody really liked being at Bomb site B, since it was a very easy place to invade and difficult to defend, so the best strategy was normally to let the terrorists invade Bomb site B and plant the bomb, and only then would the counter-terrorists invade back to defuse the bomb.
Seeing Leo on Bomb site B wanting to protect the place from the invasion of terrorists made the players on his team even more think he was a rookie for not even knowing this basic strategy.
The funniest thing is that Leo didn't really know this strategy, as he always played using hack, he didn't bother to know these complicated strategies, as this was just a game, the only thing Leo cared about is if he would kill more than than the other team.
As long as he managed to kill all 5 players on Bomb site B he would have won the round, so there's no need to worry about knowing these strategies.
After a few seconds into the round the red outlines began to appear on a shed leading to bomb site B, making Leo's smile widen.
He knew what players were doing when they were going to enter here, first they would throw a smoke bomb, then a flashbang, maybe another flashbang right after that and then they would enter the bomb.
But Leo didn't care about these things, as even blinded after looking at a flashbang he would still be able to bypass the other players' red outline and let the Aim-Bot shoot him alone.
Soon after a flash bang came, which Leo didn't even bother to look away, then another flash bang came and finally the players started to enter the bomb.ρaꪁⅆa ꪁꪫꪚⅇꪶ
While Leo was practically in an open field, the players who were invading had plenty of cover places to protect themselves during the invasion, so normally no one invaded Bomb site B.
But of course, the players didn't like plantingbomb at Bomb site B, as the chances of failing to secure the bomb were very high.
Leo didn't worry about it, when he saw the first player appearing in his vision the Aim-Bot didn't even think about it.
Bang!
[Head-Shot]
A single shot, Leo still had 11 bullets in the magazine.
Players were shocked that this player only fired a single shot at the perfect moment the other player appeared, but deep down they still thought it was luck.
Then confidently, a player who considered himself very good at shooting and knowing he had a terrain advantage raised his head.
As Leo was in an open field, the player saw him immediately and was getting ready to shoot, when suddenly.
Bang!
[Double-Kill]
Now players were really worried, as if the first time was luck, the second time already showed that there was skill involved.
To secure the invasion, the three remaining players raised their heads at the same time.
As soon as the three raised their heads and saw the counter-terrorist player standing in the middle of the open field, they soon used their mouse to try to aim at the player and shoot, but before they could click to kill that player, a sentence appeared in front of them. their. [URB4D killed you.]
Bang, Bang, Bang!
ρꪖꪁⅆꪖ ꪁꪫꪚⅇꪶ Just three shots to three heads.
[Triple-Kill]
[Quadra-Kill]
[Penta-Kill]
[Ace!]
Not only were the players on the other team shocked, but the players on Leo's team didn't even know what to say, they were thinking that this player rookie was just an average freshman who never played the game before, and now this average player managed to kill the 5 players on the other team by himself in the hardest defending place in the game?!
"Wooah!!!!"
"Good dude!"
"Damn, how did you do that?!"
The players on Leo's team cheered with happiness, while the players on the other team were even more angry after seeing the name of the player who killed them!
No one there was stupid, they knew that player name was clearly meant to provoke players into killing!
"Damn, we have to take revenge, we go to bomb site B again, we go in with the flash bang explosion and take advantage of it when he is on his back or blind to kill him." A player from the other team said angrily.
His teammates also agreed with the strategy, as they all had their own pride. Even though they were Platinum players, they thought that the difference between them and a Challenger player was small and that they were just unlucky not to go up, so when they were massacred by Leo, these players' pride was hurt and they had to take revenge.
Leo just spoke on voice chat. "I defend Bomb Site B, you defend the rest."
After what Leo did, the players completely changed their attitude towards him and excitedly obeyed.
"OK!" x4
Leo knew that players would go back to Bomb site B, especially here on the MU server where the students were even more arrogant than normal people, they wouldn't sit around doing nothing after being humiliated like that.
Just as Leo imagined it, 5 more red outlines appeared heading towards Bomb site B, but this time the players were much more aggressive than the previous time.
But only a few seconds later.
[Penta-Kill]
[Ace!]
While the players on Leo's team shouted and cheered with happiness, the players on the other team controlled themselves not to break the computer in anger!
