In the second half of the film, the two main characters spent intimate time together, yet the plot actually began to focus on depicting the tense atmosphere of preparing for the college entrance examination, and this development made everyone speechless. Director Chen was still not worried, saying that this was youth.

“All of you who sing and make movies didn’t study well and don’t understand at all,” Director Chen said. “Only a good student like Qingyue would understand me, right?”

Jiang Qingyue was distracted and looking into the distance, so did not hear.

Shen Xinghe was bewildered: “Director, didn’t you also just study script writing and directing?”

Director Chen: “…… you go recite your lines for me! Look at the Ice God, he never forgets his lines, and look at yourself!”

“Take it easy, he’s just a moron.” After Gu Qingmeng calmed down the director, he went to comfort Jiang Qingyue, “Assistant Jiang, don’t worry, you were working in the morning and probably didn’t notice that the Ice God was either reading the script or acting with me during that time, so he must not have seen the hot search.”

That morning, the #Gu Weici Visiting Ren Shuhan # hot search was trending everywhere. There were a few normal and real people arguing, but most of them are marketing teams and hired trolls that were hyping up the news, claiming that these two people only acted as strangers in public and were actually lovers in private.

Jiang Qingyue smiled gratefully at him before gathering the courage to walk over to Ren Shuhan and hand him a cup of hot tea.

“Young master, do you feel uncomfortable? Are your eyes tired?” He asked, “Shall I press on them to relieve any ache?”

“No, you also take a break,” Ren Shuhan has been frowning, and now slowly stretched, the script that has been read several times laid on the table, “I just read these scenes, and remembered a little bit of high school.”

“Was it a bad memory?” Jiang Qingyue patted the back of his hand soothingly, “It’s all in the past.”

“No, that matter isn’t over yet.” Ren Shuhan said, “Do you remember when my mother came back to China to look for you specially, back when I was in the first year of high school?”

Jiang Qingyue nodded his head.

“I didn’t dare to see you during that time because I was afraid you would hate me,” Ren Shuhan held his hand back and interlocked their fingers, saying firmly, “but in the future I will never let you suffer like that again, Qingyue, you can trust me.”

Jiang Qingyue: “Huh?”

Ren Shuhan: “?”

Jiang Qingyue tried to say, “Have I been wronged in any way?”

Ren Shuhan repeated, “Didn’t my mother go looking for you?”

“Ah ……” Jiang Qingyue looked clueless, “Auntie encouraged me to study hard, and strive to get the same results as in middle school. She did get a bit tempestuous when she said to aim for a better high school rather than the school we went to, but since she said it was mainly to give the Jiang family a good look, I didn’t mind or anything, ah…”

“What?” Ren Shuhan stood up, “I was cheated! She told me that if I didn’t prepare to apply for a good university, I wouldn’t even be allowed to attend high school in China with you. She also said that she would threaten you, so that you wouldn’t try to deepen our liking, or that she would take you out of the school if any rumors went around about us!”

Jiang Qingyue: “……”

That was effective work done from the shadows, respect.

But was it really necessary to do that = =?

“Why didn’t you come and ask me?” Jiang Qingyue felt a bit sorry for the young master, “Auntie is not that kind of person, plus how could I possibly hate you because of this kind of thing?”

“How do I know what kind of person she is? I don’t know her at all! ” Ren Shuhan was wronged. He really hasn’t seen his mother more than several times as he grew up, and it was better not to talk about his father either. “After she went to you, you studied hard every day. I was too shy to bother you, and I didn’t even make trouble in class.”

Jiang Qingyue was now really feeling bad for him: “There was such a misunderstanding. I only knew how to study at that time, and I didn’t notice the change of my young master.”

Ren Shuhan: “…………..”

For the 16 years old Ren Shuhan who was then going to high school, there was no time to play football or go hiking and exploring every day.

There was a time when Jiang Qingyue went with him everywhere and they played together all the time. At that time, he was good at everything and all the students around them envied him. Jiang Qingyue also looked at him with adoring eyes. When he’d hand him a note in class, he’d hear classmates gossiping about his vast knowledge, and he also made friends everywhere he went. But once he started officially preparing for his college entrance examination, Ren Shuhan felt like he wasn’t special at all.

Aside from being rich, handsome and fun, he really was just an ordinary teenager.

The always confident Ren Shuhan began to feel anxious for the first time.

He knew he liked Jiang Qingyue, he liked to touch his hair and hold his hand. He’d be too embarrassed to look at his exposed legs and arms in the summer, and he’d feel shy when he’d see his rosy cheeks and lips in the cold winter. He’d often be sneaky and kiss his hair when he was asleep, but he did not dare to confess.

He had started accumulating this kind of conflicted feelings back in junior high in its entirety. His apprehension exploded in High School but he no longer dared to fight his noisy classmates for Jiang Qingyue’s attention. He no longer had any opportunity to carry the sleeping Jiang Qingyue home, and they didn’t climb any mountain tops to watch the sunrise together anymore. Jiang Qingyue was addicted to studying, and it made him feel uneasy, so he thought he had to say something to him.

Who knew that he would be interrupted by his own family.

It was the closest time in his life he came to give a confession. Many years later, he’s now taking it one step at a time, but at least he is now in a position to win. Of course, it’s regrettable that he passed his youth and wouldn’t be able to use the same impulsive fervor as when he was younger, but it’s still interesting nevertheless.

“Then I’m aggrieved,” Ren Shuhan concluded, holding Jiang Qingyue’s hand and not letting go, “I’m really aggrieved!”

Jiang Qingyue was moved by his pouting but didn’t know how to coax him. He thought for a moment then raised his hand and touched his head, asking: ” Then… Do you want to help me practice that?”

Ren Shuhan decided to take him to the lounge: “Okay.”

Director Chen, who was about to call Ren Shuhan from his break, saw them go from a distance: “…Shen Xinghe, get ready. Come over first and re-shoot those two scenes from earlier.”

Shen Xinghe: “Huh? How come it’s me again?”

“You’re the only one who talks too much!” Director Chen knocked him on the head, “You have no perspective, can’t you see the Ice God is busy practicing his scenes?”

After finally finishing “practicing” the script, Ren Shuhan left Jiang Qingyue, who had red lips and messy hair, in the lounge, not wanting him to be seen by others like this, and came out to prepare for the next scene.

“I want to rest……” Shen Xinghe groaned.

“You’ve seen your acting skills? You still dare to say you want a break?” Director Chen scolded him directly.

Gu Qingmeng inadvertently asked Ren Shuhan, “Did the Ice God look at today’s hot topic? There’s something with Gu Weici.”

“Wait a minute.” Ren Shuhan pulled out his phone. “I’m gonna take another break.”

Director Chen: “….Sure.”

After reading comments for a while, Ren Shuhan picked a post on his own that was trending and replied confidently to it. “There was no visit on the set. I didn’t see Gu Weici that day, and I have nothing to do with him aside from work. I already have someone that I like, and I’ve been preparing my confession for many years now. I hope you guys don’t make things more difficult for me. Thank you.”

#Ren Shuhan has a favorite person# instantly became the number one topic on the internet.

“Damn!” Shen Xinghe who got on his phone as well got excited and looked around for Jiang Qingyue, “I know who it is!”

Director Chen couldn’t take it anymore and spoke out. “Hurry up and start working!”

In the lounge, Jiang Qingyue was lying on the sofa, covered with Ren Shuhan’s blanket, and was replying to two messages sent to him from an unfamiliar account, the first one was a photo of Gu Weici’s “visit” that day, showing a little bit of Ren Shuhan’s side face in the camera, and the second one only had these words: “He’s lying.”

Jiang Qingyue also returned his own words: “I don’t care.” before blocking the account.

The next time… Jiang Qingyue burrowed his face into the blanket as he vowed that the next practice session would be a lot longer. As long as he kept forwards, the young master would definitely forget Gu Weici.

He still needs to work hard, ah.

We haven’t seen them at all but I still don’t know what to make out of Ren Shuhan’s parents…. Are they just terrible or do they actually care a bit or not at all… Well I guess it doesn’t matter since they haven’t appeared in person (^^#)
