I keep dreaming, having nightmares about the Shadowfell.

In my dreams, I am running through a forest with the Shadowfell chasing me. The trees are covered in blood, and everywhere I look there is more bloodshed. I hear loud voices calling out to me, telling me to stop and turn back. I feel like my lungs are going to burst, and I'm suffocating, but I continue to run. I hear the sounds of the Shadowfell getting closer behind me. I keep hearing a voice, "Down In Ohio! You're going to die!"

Suddenly, everything goes black, and I wake up, gasping for air.

I put on my clothes, grab my sword, and then start walking. As I walk I think of ways I can get out of this mess. What good am I doing? What if I just give up? No! I refuse to let these nightmares win. I am going to fight them to the end, and I will make sure that they never hurt anyone else again.

The time is 11 pm sharp, I have finally entered the border of northern Ohio by a small town called New Salem. I can see the mountains looming above me, and the ground is covered in rocks. There are no houses anywhere, and there is nothing but empty fields. As I begin to walk towards the mountains, I notice that there is a strange smell coming from the ground, and it's making me uncomfortable.

I continue to walk until I reach the top of a hill, where I can see a large gate carved into the mountain. This gate is guarded by two soldiers wearing black cloaks and carrying heavy wooden shields. Both of them are holding two swords of light.

"State your business," calls one of the guards, his voice muffled by the helmet he is wearing. His voice echoes loudly down the hills and up the mountains.

"Hello, I am Law Marshall, and I am looking for the gateway to the other dimension."

"Do you have a permit?" asks the other guard.

"Yes," I reply. "A permit that proves I am allowed to enter northern Ohio."

"Well, I need to see it, before I let you pass through the gate. Also, please show me your sword."

I pull out my sword and hold it out so they can see it.

''I have never seen a dark sword before, where did you get it?'' asked the other guard

I shake my head. "I don't know. It was given to me by my father."

They both look at each other and then back at me.

''Why would your father give you such a dangerous blade?" asks the first guard.

"Because I'm destined to destroy the Shadowfell."

There is silence for a few moments, and I'm worried that they won't let me pass. Finally, the second guard speaks up.

''But why did he give it to you, if you are so important?"

I shrug. "I don't know exactly what he meant, but he said that I was born to destroy the Shadowfell."

I can tell that the guards are skeptical. "What proof do you have that you are so important?"

I stand up straight and hold my sword in front of me. "I have this sword, it's one of the only weapons that can kill a 'Shadowfell', along with your swords of light''

"Are you sure that this sword is worth the risk of entering northern Ohio?" says the first guard.

I nod. "Yes, I'm sure. I don't care if I die, I have to do this."

The guards look at each other, and then back at me. "All right, go ahead ."

''As I enter through the gate to go to northern Ohio, I sense something strange''. Could it be? I stand up and check the time with a timekeeper. Fuck!, its 11 30 pm, I should have waited 30 more minutes. Behind me, I can see a Shadowfell. Now I know I must be very careful. "Coming back through the gate,'' I yell out, and both guards raise their swords of light and prepare for battle.
