Chapter 1994 An Ambush
As Jiang Chen had expected, the experts from the two Immortal Courts didn’t choose to stay. Dragon Shisan returned to inform Jiang Chen about the news. He knew that Jiang Chen would never let them leave with peace.
“Alright, Big Yellow. You and I will split up and intercept them. Remember, don’t show any mercy. None of them shall be kept alive,” Jiang Chen said coldly.
“Jie jie, don’t worry. Master Dog had never been merciful.” Big Yellow uttered a sinister laugh. To set up an ambush on his enemies was his favorite.
“How dare you two exclude me from joining you!” complained Dragon Shisan.
“Monkey, you better be a good Chosen One.”
Jiang Chen patted Dragon Shisan’s shoulder before he and Big Yellow turned into two rays of light and vanished. Although the remaining enemies were powerful geniuses, without Tan Jinye and Liu He, it became an extremely easy task to exterminate them.
Big Yellow was a peak First Grade Demon Sovereign who was capable of fighting a Second Grade Great Sovereign, but sadly, there wasn’t a single Second Grade Great Sovereign among their enemies.
Jiang Chen’s strength had also improved tremendously after reaching the peak of late Immortal Venerable.
After departing from Demonic Immortal Island, the experts of Radiance Immortal Court and Mi Luo Immortal Court flew towards two different directions respectively. Their faces were incomparably gloomy. If they knew that they would suffer such an enormous loss in this trip, they wouldn’t have come.
While the group of Mi Luo experts were heading back to the Immortal World, none of them spoke; the silence appeared to be pretty oppressive.
“Gentlemen, it’s not good to sneak away like this.”
Suddenly, a ghostly voice rang out, stopping everyone in their tracks. A ray of light flashed past them before appearing before them, blocking their path ahead.
The incomer seemed to be only 25 or 26 years old and domineering, wearing a white robe and an indistinct smile on his extradinarily handsome face. Who could he be if he wasn’t Jiang Chen?
“Jiang Chen.”
The sight of Jiang Chen ignited the fury in Qin Xuanbing and the rest. They were all clenching their teeth with immense hatred.
After confirming that there was no one else besides Jiang Chen in the surrounding area through divine sense, they heaved a sigh of relief in their heart.
“Qin Xuanbing, how can you leave just like this? We haven’t settled our scores yet,” said Jiang Chen coolly.
“Jiang Chen, don’t tell me that you have come here just to kill us, personally.” Qin Xuanbing spoke in a flat tone.
“What’s wrong? You think I can’t kill you all by myself?” Jiang Chen shrugged and looked at Qin Xuanbing with interest.
“Jiang Chen, I admire your arrogance, but you really think that you can deal with us just with you alone? Since you have come here in the middle of the night to get yourself killed, we’ll help you fulfil your death wish,” said Qin Xuanbing.
He wasn’t worried if there was only Jiang Chen. Even without Tan Jinye, given their strength, they had no problems in dealing with Jiang Chen. After all, there were four First Grade Great Sovereigns, and all of them were geniuses, whereas Jiang Chen was merely an Immortal Venerable. Although Jiang Chen could kill Li Wangye, they were sure that Jiang Chen was no match for geniuses like them.

“Elder Qin, we have suffered a major loss in the island. It couldn’t be better than this now that brat has come here to die. Our trip won’t be in vain after we kill him.”
A First Grade Great Sovereign genius spoke maliciously. Pride was always a significant characteristic of a rare genius. They have to admit that they were no match for Dragon Shisan, but they were tremendously confident in fighting the half-step Sovereign Jiang Chen.
Moreover, the trip had dealt them a huge blow. It was incredibly depressing that they had to leave the island in such a timid way. Unexpectedly, Jiang Chen had appeared in front of them. He was precisely the only one they could vent all their stifled emotions on.
However, they seemed to have missed an important point – Jiang Chen never did things that he was not certain of. They lacked the understanding of Jiang Chen.
“Want to kill me? Come on?”
Jiang Chen didn’t want to waste any more time. Terrifying energy waves were unleashed from his body like tides, and he then turned into his dragon-form, murderous intent rising to the sky.
“Truly ignorant. Let me go and get rid of him.”
The First Grade Great Sovereign who spoke earlier leapt forward, and struck out a brilliant light that illuminated the sky. It then turned into sharp dazzling swords and rushed madly towards Jiang Chen in waves.
“Slaughter Dragon Seal!”
Jiang Chen roared and launched out the most terrifying seal. It seemed that he wanted to end this battle quick. A roaring slaughter dragon with a pair of cold gaze was formed. Strong murderous intent, and traces of Great Dao were radiating from his body as it charged towards its target.
*Clang…* *Clang…*
Deafening clangs and sparks were produced as the sharp sword light hit the scale of the dragon, however the sword lights instantly shattered after the collision.
*Roar……*
The slaughter dragon didn’t slow down. In just a matter of a few blinks, it appeared above the First Grade Great Sovereign, and opened its great maw.
“No!” Startled, the Great Sovereign shrieked.
However, it was already too late. Death had already descended upon him when he sensed it. There was no way he could escape this disaster.
At this final moment, only then did he realize how huge the gap between him and Jiang Chen.
*Hong Long……*
The Slaughter Dragon devoured that man in a gulp. Then, an immense energy burst out, setting off enormous waves on the sea below. As for the genius who had been eaten, no remains of his body was left, except for a small pool of blood that was quickly washed away by the ocean water.
“What?”
Qin Xuanbing and the others yelped in shock. All their confidence were gone, each looking at Jiang Chen in disbelief, as though they had just seen a peerless devil king.
“Qin Xuanbing, don’t you all want to kill me? Come and do it now,” urged Jiang Chen, his qi soaring to the sky.
His opponents could now feel the tremendous pressure from his divine might.
