The Azure Dragon Five Steps was fiercer than the True Dragon Palm of the true dragon combat technique. The power unleashed from it was unimaginable. The void was smashed with his every step. Even if the combustion of his blood was forcefully stopped, half of his blood had already been burnt. Thus, his combat strength was still improved much compared to before.
The Third Prince quickly responded to Jiang Chen’s attack. A black shield was condensed by an awful dark force to defend himself.
*Ka Cha*
How could a shield condensed by a dark force withstand Jiang Chen’s Azure Dragon Five Steps? Furthermore, it was already the fifth step, the last step. The so-called indestructible shield was crushed into pieces by Jiang Chen’s foot.
The Third Prince absorbed a tremendous amount of force, pushing his large body 30 meters away. Currently, cracks and fissure could already be seen on the skin of his body, the cracks looked like spider webs. Blood was flowing out of those lines of cracks, it made him look gruesome.
*Roar*
The Third Prince hadn’t died yet. Besides that, there was still a huge amount of combat strength left in his body due to the support of the blood that he burnt. It was already imaginable that such a power wouldn’t last long in his body. Once the power faded, he wouldn’t be able to recover from all of the injuries that he suffered and return to his original peak form even if he didn’t die.
“Son of a b*tch! Damn you! You have ruined me! I will kill you today!”
The Third Prince’s roar turned hoarse due to his rage. He supposedly had a good future waiting for him. He didn’t expect that this tiny slip would become his lasting sorrow. He was the one who came looking for trouble by provoking the dragonman. Even if Jiang Chen was killed, it wouldn’t help repair his combusted imperial blood. Now, his future had been turned into a lasting darkness.
“What other tricks do you still have?”
Jiang Chen’s Qi soared to the sky. The battle today had lifted his confidence that he could defeat the people of Dark Generation powerful cultivation because of his particularly favourable advantage.
*Swoosh*
The Third Prince made a sway with his arm. A black shield materialized in his hand. It wasn’t the same as the previous shield. The previous shield was fully condensed by a dark force whereas this shield was a solid. It was a Combat Weapon carved with some profound patterns that looked mystical.
Jiang Chen’s eyes was fixed on that black shield. He could naturally determine that it was a true Minor Saint weapon with his eyesight. There was no blacksmith in the Dark Generation and the place they lived was a desolate land with insufficient raw materials to create weapons. Thus, this Minor Saint weapon must be from either of the three worlds.
The shield was fully blanketed by a dark Qi. It had fused itself with the imperial bloodline and Qi of Third Prince. Jiang Chen had to admit that this Third Prince was a one in a thousand genius because he could use his own bloodline to temper the weapon and fully integrate his Qi into it, turning it into a Natal Weapon. Without a doubt, this kind of weapon would become more powerful than before.
“I still have my ultimate technique. Let me see how you withstand this.”
Third Prince gritted his teeth and yelled. “Ultimate Dark Imperial Shield.”
As soon as his voice faded, the shield rose up to the sky above, and floated above his head. An unlimited dark force was gushing out of his body and flowed into the dark shield like a tidal water. The initial power of the shield was boosted further. After a few blinks, its power grew a fold of its original strength.
This was his strongest attack, stronger than any of his attacks before. It was a self-created technique and he named it the “Ultimate Dark Imperial Shield”. This had always been his hidden trump card that fuelled his pride.
“Receive your death! Ultimate Dark Imperial Shield, charge!”
Third Prince roared once more as the shield lunged towards Jiang Chen like a small mountain.
Jiang Chen didn’t dare to underestimate this incoming attack. He wasn’t concerned about it either. First, the Third Prince had already lost all his confidence in the battle. Second, although the Dark Shield was a terrifyingly powerful Minor Saint weapon, it could never be compared to his Heavenly Saint Sword.
*Xiao*
An ear-splitting sound was heard, followed by a brilliant sword light that shot straight into the sky. A divine-looking longsword materialized in Jiang Chen’s hand. On its surface was a terrifying and dazzling flames.
The power of this weapon was increased further after the fourth fragment was integrated into it. It was currently encompassed by the True Dragon Fire and True Thunderfire. Jiang Chen lifted it and lunged at the Dark Imperial Shield.
*Bang*
The dark force and the sword intent of the Heavenly Saint Sword clashed together, producing a huge shock wave before turning into a sea of fire. Countless of dark force rolled in the sea of fire and was incinerated completely. When the sword and the shield impacted, the shield couldn’t bear the sharpness of the sword and was cut into half.
“What?”

The Third Prince stared at the scene like a copper bell. He couldn’t believe what just happened. The Dark Imperial Shield was an extraordinary Minor Saint weapon. He was very clear on how strong and firm the shield was. One would wonder, how much power was required in order to destroy his shield? Without a doubt, the sword was overly sharp.
Jiang Chen didn’t give Third Prince the time to react. His Heavenly Saint Sword swung across the void leaving the effect of a waterfall and reached the Third Prince in split seconds.
The Third Prince had absorbed a heavy backlash the moment the shield was destroyed. He wouldn’t have the strength to defend against Jiang Chen’s incoming attack. Subconsciously, He immediately raised his sharp claws to defend.
However, using own physique to defend against Jiang Chen’s Heavenly Saint Sword was a very foolish act.
*Chi La*
“Argh!”
The Third Prince let out a wail of pain when his arm was cut in half. He continued to cry in pain as he had already suffered some serious injuries. His body could no longer support his true form because the energy in his bloodline was already expended by the Ultimate Dark Imperial Shield. He turned back into a human. He had lost all of his previous demeanour as the Third Prince. His body was full of wounds, and trickling with blood. The arm on his body dissipated after being cut. Now, he was out of strength to continue the battle.
He was feeling completely down spirited. The defeat had dealt a huge blow to his mind. He was a dignified Third Prince, an Eighth Grade Minor Saint and an outstanding genius among the imperial kinsmen. But today, he was defeated by a being which he looked down upon. The kind of feeling that he was feeling right now was like being pushed down from the summit of the pyramid.
He swayed his body and flew out of the Black Dragon Mountain that was left with dunes of ruins. Although the battle was a failure, he needed to stay alive. So, his most sensible choice now was to flee.
Despite his determination to leave, Jiang Chen wouldn’t allow it. His large hand clawed forth and grabbed the Third Prince like grabbing a chick back to his proximity. It would be a funny joke if he let such a prey escape.
“Dammit! Do you know what the consequences of killing me is?!”
Third Prince threatened.
“Don’t worry. I won’t kill for you now.”
Jiang Chen said with a smile.
“It’s a prudent choice. In that case, release me now!”
Third Prince sounded proud and arrogant despite him being under someone’s custody.
“I won’t kill you, but I won’t release you either.”
Jiang Chen smiled coldly. He didn’t want to waste any more effort in talking to an arrogant man. A seal was struck out, encompassing Third Prince fully before he was sucked into the spatial ring.
He knew that this prince had an uncommon status in the imperial family. He had a huge plan in this domain. In his plan, offending the imperial kinsmen of the Dark Generation was unavoidable. At that time, this Third Prince could act as an imperial hostage.
He immediately left the scene after resolving this problem. Even if the battle had only lasted for a short period of time, which was only a few minutes, the combat wave was just too great. The experts would certainly come to find out what happened very soon. So, it was best if he left now. It was true that he could kill an Eighth Grade Minor Saint of the Dark Generation, he needed to exert almost all of his efforts.
His current strength was far from enough to dominate the entire Void Triangular Domain.
“Look! The battle in Black Dragon Mountain is over. I wonder what the result of the battle is.”
“It was a very intense battle. That dragonman must be very powerful to last the battle for so long, but he was certainly no match for the Third Prince. He was destined to be killed by the Third Prince.”
“That’s right. I had already expected that the dragonman would die under Third Prince’s hands. After this, the Third Prince’s status in the imperial kingdom would surely rise again.”
……..
Plenty of observers concluded that the battle was over when they felt the absence of combat wave. All of them thought that the dragonman was dead because there was no way for an overpowering Eighth Grade Minor Saint to lose to the dragonman.
Two silhouettes appeared above the Black Dragon Mountain not long after Jiang Chen had left. Both of them were elders. Nothing could be sensed from them despite their presence, as if they had fully integrated with the atmosphere. Their Qi was absent, like a specter. You could already tell how formidable their cultivation was.
There were both Ninth Grade Minor Saints. The Qi in their bodies were similar to the Third Prince. They were the experts of the imperial Dark Generation. They were informed that the Third Prince was dealing with the dragonman today. Due to their confidence and the arrogant demeanor of Third Prince, they didn’t emerge until they found out that the battle was over. They were shocked when they saw what happened.
