Chapter 18: The Weskins. (Part 1)

“Hmm? Mother. This is Lady Velkra. She saved my life.”

For a second, Her mother tried to understand what she just said.

“What? Saved you? What happened?!” The mother says.

You can actually understand that she is a doting mother. As she is pinching Carmine’s Cheek and looking all over to see if she’s hurt anywhere.

“Thank Goodness… I would have died if something happened to you…” The mother says.

“Please don’t say things like that…” says Carmine looking exasperated.

After she says that, she looks in my direction. Then she comes close and whispers in my ear…

“Can I tell my family about you? Just my family. Your secret won’t get out if you forbid them to.” She says.

Why would I do that? What if they just tell the king that an Elder Dragon is here in their country…

“Nope,” I say.

“I see… and here I thought that you would get better hospitality… good food too…” she says.

“Tell them!” I say on queue.

Did she catch on my greed for food?!

That’s blackmailing you know! Luring me in food!

I’m lured in anyway…

“Oh! That’s good!” she says.

After that, she turns around and goes toward where her family is standing.

“Carmine. I’m glad that you came home safe.” I manly voice comes from behind the mother.

“Father!” Carmine says that and hugs him tightly.

“Mind your manner in front of everyone. Okay?” he says.

He is a man in his 40’s too. Blonde hair. Black blue eyes. He’s one of the people you would call models back on earth. And yeah, the mother’s pretty beautiful too. And Carmine says that I’m Beautiful.

She gets closer to everyone and says this.

“Let me introduce her once again. This is Lady Velkra. The Elder Dragon that saved me from a bandit attack.” Says Carmine.

Once again, everyone just looks at Carmine for a moment.

Then they snap back to reality.

“Elder Dragon?!” Says the Father.

“Tell us earlier!” says the mother.

“I’ve never seen an Elder Dragon!” says the sister, jumping and excited.

They run towards me and then get down on one knee, putting their fist to the ground.

“We are honored to meet you, Elder Dragon, Lady Velkra.”

The mother and father say that in unison.

“My name is Albart De Weskin and this is my wife, Carmine’s mother, Caryl De Weskin.”

They introduce themselves.

“Come here, Lucy! You have to show respect too! Carmine you too!” says the mother In a scolding manner.

Lucy comes running and copies them.

“You see, Mother. Lady Velkra has already ordered me to be casual with her…” says Carmine.

After that, all of them get up.

I should say greetings too…

“Let me introduce myself too. I am Velkra. She is…” I say as I tap my hood, signaling Twixie to come out.

She’s been squirming in there for a while now… She’s excited maybe?

She jumps out flying from my hood.

“Hello! My name’s Twixie! I’m a fairy! And She is my master!” she says.

They jump for a second.

“A legendary magical race…” says Albart, wide-eyed.

“Certainly…” Says Caryl.

“Are you really that rare?” I ask Twixie.

“We fairies don’t come out that often you know!” she says cheerfully.

She’s slept so much in my hood. I think that was her exhaustion from being sealed for so long.

She’s recharged now. Just look at her face. It’s sparkling…

“First, let me tell you something. Under no circumstances you are to reveal my identity as an Elder Dragon. And one more thing, address me casually. I don’t like a stiff atmosphere.”

They look at each other.

“As you wish, Lady Velkra. But, Do let us provide you our most humble services.” Says Albart.

“That’s why I allowed Carmine to tell you about me! I wanna eat food!” I say that as I put both of my hands on my waist.

“I-I see…” says Albart.

“Then lady Velkra, please enlighten us with your presence in our humble house.” Says Caryl.

“I just told you, don’t be so stiff…” I say looking disappointed.

“I apologize! No, I am sorry…” says Caryl.

She is a grownup but I can sense the energy of a little girl in her.

After that, we enter the Weskins Mansion.
