Chapter 27: Eating some Delicious food and Something sudden.

The servants come out with different dishes in hand.

Two to be exact.

“Great Velkra, we have two dishes for you to taste.” Says Willis.

They stand beside everyone and put down a single big plate.

“What’s this may I ask?” I say.

“This is the Banewolf Steak with the Parua sauce. It is one of the most revered dishes in this Kingdom. We made this, especially for you.”

Honestly, I didn’t think I would be able to eat after eating in the diner. This delicious smell is making me hungry.

Wait… I don’t feel fulfilled… my stomach is not full…

I didn’t notice this because I went into some trouble back there but… I don’t feel like I’ve eaten anything…

“Hey, Twixie. Come out. You should eat some food too. How long do you plan on sleeping? You’re meant to be my first companion. Why are you out of the picture?” I say tapping on my hood.

“Hmm… I was awake. I’m hungry too.” She says as she flies out.

“Thought so. Don’t make me remove hoods from my clothes from now on. What are you always doing in there? You shouldn’t do that. You’re gonna become a shut-in at this rate. Even after your recovery.”

She totally will become one. And that scares me. having a person being a shut-in in my hair is scary. Not that she proves any danger.

“So. What is this Parua Sauce?”  I ask Willis who is standing by my side.

This sauce looks like melted cheese to me…

“It is a Sauce made from a dairy product known as Cheese. It completely harmonizes with a fruit known as Parue. This fruit has a spicy and sour flavor. To add some sweetness to it, a little amount of sugar is used.” He explains.

So it’s a blend of Cheese and some unknown fruit.

No point in talking over food. I’ll eat it and then say something.

As I pick up my fork and get ready to eat.

“Great Velkra, are you sure you don’t need some wine?” says Albart.

Wine? Can I drink too? Maybe I can, now that I’m a dragon. It won't affect me that much but… there’s a guilty conscience in my heart that I’m not an adult yet.

“No no. I don’t drink alcohol.” I say waving.

Carmine and Lucy don’t seem like they drink either. Only Albart and Caryl seem to be.

“Oi Caryl, You shouldn’t drink,” I say looking at her.

“Oh my! I forgot!” she says.

“Come on… you forgot?”

Albart looks at Caryl and the wine glass in her hand.

“And Willis, What were you thinking?” I say.

“My deepest apologies, Great Velkra.”

Seriously? These bunch…

I stick my fork in the steak and take a piece along with the Parua Sauce. I put it in my mouth.

“Oooooh! This is delicious!” I blurt out.

The moment I put the steak in my mouth, the flavor spread everywhere! This profound… gentle cheesy flavor… the spice and sour… the moderate sweetness to this steak…

“Ahhhh~”

“Do you find it delicious, Great Velkra?” Says Willis.

“Absolutely!”

Just as I say that the faces of every maid and Butler including Willis lit up in excitement.

“The Chef was very nervous if you would like the dish. It was his first time making this. I’m sure he would be overjoyed to hear this.” Says Willis.

Everyone nod in agreement.

“Tell him to keep cooking tasty food like this. I’m happy to have him.” I say.

"Twixie! you try some too!"  I say to her.

she silently flies towards my plate and takes out a fork fitting her size from out of nowhere.

"Where'd you get that?" I ask.

"My Spacial Storage," she says.

She takes a bite from the meat.

"Wha-?! What is this?!" she exclaims.

"Delicious isn't it?" I say.

"It is!"

Then she goes on to devour more.

We eat in silence. The family took a bite after I did.

“Big Sis Velkra! This is very delicious!” says Lucy looking at me in excitement.

Big sis… I like the sound of that. I want to cuddle with her… she’s cute.

“It truly is. I didn’t think this dish would be of my taste…” says Albart.

“By the way Albart, make sure to take Caryl to a doctor. Are there doctors here?” I ask.

“Thank you for your concern Great Velkra. I had thought to call the family doctor soon tomorrow.” Says Albart in response.

But her belly sure got big… it’s like she got through about four months already…

I’m sure it will be fine but having expert advice would help. Is this era advanced enough? Probably not. Not technologically advanced like mine.

We finish up our meals.

“Shall we bring out the dessert?” asks Willis.

“Hmm! Bring out the Dessert!” I say in excitement.

“Certainly,” he says looking happy.

He sure finds it exciting. They are all excited to serve me. Do I deserve all of this?

They bring out the desert.

“This is A Seasonal Tart. This contains the Farwa Fruit. It’s sweet and a bit sour. It depends on the kind you receive. On the top are various berries. I hope it is to your liking.” He says.

Hmm… I’ve never had tart before… it looks amazing anyway. There are red and blue berries…

I take a spoon and plunge it into the mini tart in front of me.

I take the spoon into my mouth.

“Mmmhmm~ So good~…”

“You guys try it too…~” I say to everyone.

Twixie walks towards the tart and takes a piece of it.

"Everything's so delicious I don't know what to do anymore!" she says as she goes crazy when she finds it delicious.

Everyone takes a single spoonful to their mouths and lets out dreamy sounds.

“Delicious isn’t it?” I ask.

“This for sure is suitable for Noble Greetings. Willis, Tell him to keep this on the list for servings in Noble Meetings.” Says Albart.

So they have meetings here too…

We finish up our dinner and get up.

Twixie hops in my hood once again.

"Twixie...~"

As I was trying to talk to Twixie,

“Are you tired Big Sis Velkra?” Says Lucy as she runs up to me.

“Hmm… I am…” I say to her crouching a bit down.

“Then sleep with me!” she says opening her arms.

Yay~! My wish came true~!!

No no no… wait…

“But…”

“Please~?” she says looking disappointed.

My god this girl!

“Okay Okay. You can sleep with me.”

“Lucy~ You shouldn’t bother Great Velkra like this…” says Carmine as she walks up to us.

“But…”

“No buts Lucy!” she says.

“Let her come with me. She wants to. I don’t mind it.” I say waving my hand to Carmine.

“…Okay..” she looks at Lucy for a second and agrees.

“Yay~!” Lucy jumps up with excitement.

“Let’s go get changed then,” I say to her.

“Felia! Let’s go!” I call Felia out.

“Yes, Great Velkra.” She answers back.

We walk up the stairs to my room.

Several maids bring out our clothes and ‘Make’ us put them on. I can put them on myself though…~

We get changed and get into bed.

Twxie jumps into the sea of pillows again and disappears.

This girl... honestly...

“I’m gonna sleep like this…” Lucy wraps her arms around me.

“You don’t do this with Carmine?” I ask.

“No. Sister always studies hard and she has responsibilities too… so we don’t get much time together…” she says.

I see. So Carmine is studious.

“Then let's sleep now…” I say to Lucy.

 I love this….

The next day I woke up without Lucy by my side.

I look around and find that Felia is standing near the door.

“Felia… where is Lucy?” I ask her.

“She woke up very early. She has already gone out.” She says.

“ I see.”

I wake up and change into my regular hooded coat.

I head down the stairs in the hope of breakfast. I hope nothing gets in the way of my breakfast again…

As I step down the stairs I see Willis showing someone out.

“Willis? Who was that?” I ask.

“That was the family Doctor, Great Velkra. He was here for Lady Caryl’s checkup. He was very surprised when he saw her so young…” he says rubbing his temples.

Something must have happened. I mean anyone would be surprised if they saw someone go young like that.

“So what did he say?” I ask.

“He says she has passed five months. Only four months remain.”

Four months? That was too fast. What was their evolution…

As I was talking to Willis, Albart and Caryl come out of the lounge.

“Good morning everyone,” I say.

“Good morning Great Velkra.” Says Albart.

[KNOCK][KNOCK][KNOCK]!!

Someone bangs on the door.

Willis goes to open it.

“Lord Albart! The King has summoned You and Great Velkra!” Lucius barges in a hurry.

He looks different too just like others now.

“Summons?” ask Albart.

“Yes Lord Albart!” he says.

But my Breakfast~!
