Chapter 14: A tour

Walking into the palace was even more wonders of its beautiful
architecture as pillars towers above turned into arches that connected to the
other sides pillars, the hallways where gorgeous and sparkling with jewels as
well as suites of armor.

“ I’ll show you around bone it’ll be so much fun!” Drogan
cheered as he took my hand again, I followed after him looking at the marble, gneiss,
glass, jade, limestone, and a whole array of different materials.

He showed me all the treasure and artworks that people made, and
also portraits of all of the royal family down the line of history including
his own family.

We had a maid and knight keeping up with us which I took to
confusion, the girl was small about the height of myself, she had bright brown
eyes, and soft short black hair, her skin was dark as if she was outside a lot.
the knight was taller then us all, he had stern dark green eyes and yellow
blonde hair, his skin was tanned but if looked at closely one could see his
hard work of training though his muscles that hugged closely to the clothes he
wore.

We spent a lot of the time exploring and Drogan showing off a
lot of the many different rooms, as we went through all three palaces. The
knight and maid followed close behind not talking or showing much emotions, but
the more I noticed them the more curious I became.

“ Excuse me but why are you following us I’m sure drogan knows
this place very well that he doesn’t need others to escort him around “ I
turned towards them as the knights face scrunched up with irritation.

“ The prince needs protection from any type of assassination
attempts and with you being new here its no wonder you don’t understand!” the
knight spoke harshly as he glanced me over.

“ And you don’t seems all that strong enough to protect him with
such a small body like that, you have to build muscle and train hard and
everyday.” He smirked as he flexed his bulging biceps

We all looked at him unimpressed, the maid softly bowed at me as
she moved closer

“ my name is Isabella Roman, I’m Drogan head maid I’m following
you both because I want to be on hand to anything you all are in wanting of be
it snacks, drinks, a parasol, or towelettes” she smiled simply

I nodded softly not really understanding the conception of
having a knight and maid, gods do things on their own not needing help from
others when wanting something. The only time we ever helped each other was when
we made planets, though it was a rule to help those with making their first
planet.

I nodded softly as I thought on what the knight meant by
assassination attempts before looking at drogan.

“ what does he mean by assassination attempts?” I asked
concerned as drogan grimaced

“ other nations of human empires just want our land and don’t
like my family its nothing to worry about nothing bad has happened ever since
my birth.” He spoke quietly not really wanting to talk on the topic further. I
looked at him with pity before kneeling in front of him

“ Drogan, if someone where to hurt you I’d be very sad and angry
as you told me we are friends and honestly you are my first human friend, I
want to have memories of our time together to look back upon in the future if
you ever feel in danger I’ll always be there for you.” I reached to my back
feeling the small prick of scales and feathers, carefully I pulled on one of my
feathers, it didn’t hurt but it was a tickling sensation.

I stared at it before I felt the sharp bubbling of my starforge
a deep growl forced out of my throat as I then blew flames onto the feather, it
turned into stardust before reforming into a pendant with a feather at the
bottom.

“Here, this will summon me whenever you ever feel in danger, all
you have to do is hold it tightly and call my name I’ll always come to your
rescue” I smiled as his eyes grew wide with excitement while he studied the
pendant.

“ it’s beautiful hopefully I’ll never need to use it but if an
emergency happens then what choice do I have?” He laughed softly as he took the
pendant and placed it around his neck

The knight and Isabella both looked at me with bewilderment both
having very different views on my display of power

“ A holy one !” She breathed

“ Monster!!” the knight snarled as he unsheathed his sword
aiming it at me, which drogan didn’t take kindly to as he looked to the knight
with anger.

“ Stand down now sir Corleus!” the strong and powerful voice of
the king roared as he and queen Starla walked towards us, both looked equally
upset as their son

“ my king I only aim to protect the prince from.. this..this
beast….” Corleus stammered as he knelt and laid his sword down

“ please… do not fight..” I spoke softly, smoke slowly filling
out of my mouth and nose, anger steadily sinking down in my mind as those words
he spoke echoed in my mind

The king stopped and bowed softly

“ please forgive him ill have him punished for his words” he
looked disappointed at the man

I shook my head softly before moving to the knight and helped
him up from the floor, he looked scared and confused.

I breathed softly as the smoke soon stopped I looked at the
knight as I soon removed the cloak the queen had given me from my body.

Isabella and Sir Corleus both looked at me in complete shock, he
was more scared looking while she looked with passion and interest.

“ Your so radiant!” She spoke breathless her eyes sparkled with
a newfound passion.

Sir Corleus shook with fear, I moved away from him before
putting the cloak back on.

“ I’m not a monster as you spoke, I’m dragon goddess Bone, do
remember that in the future all I want is peace to have a happy family, a world
where my children and you creatures to all live in harmony.” I spoke sternly as
I moved to drogan who glared at the knight with malice, yet once I turned my
attention to him his expression was that of his normal self. Taking my hand he
guided me to his parents who tried their best to comfort me while Isabella took
Corleus to where the knights live.
