Chapter 5: An appreciation

Eyes opening I looked around me seeing the bright hot red fire of my star. I gasped softly my heart racing I was startled awake yet for what reason I really didn’t understand. I looked around myself, my bones soaking in the heat from the star, solar flares exploding all around me, the low humming of the core working and gathering heat to power the massive star soothed my ears. I yawned big and loud my teeth gleaming brightly against the red glowing of the stars insides.

Gathering a small amount of power I left my warm home of inside the core of my star returning to a miniature size of my former self being dwarfed by the star. I spun around gathering star dust floating around the star. Returning to my glorious pink scaled self I floated around guided on a path way to my planet. Looking at all the stars around me I realized I slept for way longer then I was supposed to.

“ wait no how many years has it been oh no my planet my children I must guide them. And all the other creatures those humans, dwarfs, elves, beastman, I must also see how the gifts I was given are doing “ I squawked soon rushing to my planet.

Upon seeing the marble sphere shining with blues, greens, purple, and other colors I smiled as it grew larger and larger before I made entrance into the atmosphere. I soon realized that over a two thousand years had passed I saw structures not known to myself but I knew the gifts must have built them. I saw many dragons my children flying around and enjoying their home. I smiled with pride seeing how happy my children where.

“ Momma momma is back !”

“ momma is it really true?!”

“ Momma momma!!”

I heard the cries and trills of my children crying out to greet me as I neared the surface.

“ My children my loves my pride and joy mother is home mother is here again” I trilled excitedly as I towered over many of my kind. I was so happy at how many of my children had grown some towered over the tallest of tress some almost as big as mountains. But even so there where the smaller ones the size of a seedling or even a petal of a flower. I purred with love at my children.

“ Tell mother how is everything going is the planet ok do you need more food source are the jewels tasty are the other creatures doing well?” I asked excitedly but met with the same excitement as most where talking over one another to tell me their tales.

I smiled listening to them telling me about how their daily lives where. I laid down on the soft grass smiling as I listened to each and every story that was told to me cuddling with many of my children. Soon I noticed other creatures coming around and joining in listening to all the tales. I huffed billows of smoke from my nostrils as many forest dwellers joined in the cuddling some jumping freely on my back and tail some resting on my horns and near my snout. I chuckled as how it looked a giant dragon being a resting spot for other tiny creatures. Well compared to me, they where all tiny and small. I was about to cloud height laying down. Quickly I noticed that some humans and creations alike swarmed the clearing most looked at me with amazement, some confused, other concerned. I lowered my head to the ground smoke trailed behind and around my head.

“ Hello there little creatures “ I gruffed softly as to not hurt their ears.

The humans where curious creatures they looked at my massive size as they themselves where only the size of my teeth. Some rode on horses or lettis. Both creatures looked alike except lettis’ where more stronger and bigger then horses. Lettis also clawed feet instead of hooves and where great climbers. The humans have really progressed with the passing of time along with the other creatures. They seemed to don garments of cloths with flashy colors. I’ve come to the knowledge from other gods that these are called clothes.

“ What kind of creature are you? “ I heard one ask as they moved closer trying to put a brave face on.

I smiled softly huffing smoke out from my mouth. “ I am the mother of all the dragons on this planet. I am the creator of this world of this system that you all call home. I am dragon goddess bone” I spoke as all their faces scrunched up with confusion and awe and soon before me they all got on their knees every creatures before me bowed with respect to the creator of this wonderful world

“Rise little ones do not bow you don’t need to bow I am here to spread to wonders of knowing what love and joy is.” I stammered with surprise

“I am king Atticus ruler of the Sendoria kingdom. “ the brave human spoke with admiration, his hair was a very unique bluish black color he also had strong features that another of his kind would very much deem him very attractive. He stared at him with deep violet eyes a color in humans I’ve never truly seen unless they where specifically blessed by a god. I smiled softly

“It is very wonderful to meet you king Atticus “ I spoke excitedly as a group of elves and dwarfs also approached from the east and north. They also had kings or elders who showed the same admiration towards me as they learned that I am a goddess. I felt such appreciation towards the gifts given to me for such respect that they deemed this day I arrived a holiday of the goddesses arrival.
