Southampton's big win over Blackburn made the media start spreading the theory of Southampton's threat to the 2012/2013 premier league championship. Some media confidently display analysis that shows the possibility of Southampton winning the premier league this season.

However, it was opposed by many parties. A storm of injuries sooner or later will hit Southampton. They believe Southampton will fall on the devil's schedule in December and January. In those two months the premier league schedule was really busy so Southampton was very likely to fall there.

Regardless of the debate over Southampton. Southampton themselves continued their training in peace. The club as well as the coach have yet to announce their goals for this season. However, Southampton players were starting to guess that Southampton might be eyeing the top 4. With the current situation it was not impossible to get it. If Southampton could really finish in the top 4 then next season they can compete in the Champions League.

The players were excited at the thought. Champions League! There were a lot of players who have never played there. Every football player in the world wants to play in the Champions League. Every appearance in the champions league was appreciated by the big clubs.

Kazuki's performance in the premier league had been perfect. However, if he plays well in the champions league then his market price will definitely rise drastically. In the 13th round Southampton will welcome a challenge from Aston Villa. St Mary's Stadium was full as usual. Southampton fans always echo their proud slogans. In this match George again fielded Bennet. However, he benched Ryan. On the left wing, Wright-Phillips played for Ryan.

After that he then gave a floating pass to the left. Bennett who entered the penalty box received the ball with his chest. He then passed the ball to Kazuki.

Kazuki delivered a powerful kick towards the goalpost. However, the appearance of the Aston Villa goalkeeper was quite good. He managed to parry the ball. Southampton failed to score. However, these opportunities made Aston Villa broke out in a cold sweat. They was sensed how threatening Southampton's attack was.

In the 18th minute, Southampton again launched a counterattack. Okhalo managed to steal the ball from the feet of the Aston Villa striker. He then gave the ball to Simone. Aston Villa midfielder tried to bring down Simone but failed. Simone then gave the ball to Rudolf.

Rudolf received the ball and launched a through ball to the left. Wright-Phillips received the ball with his chest. Aston Villa right-back hit the body Wright-Phillips the referee blew the whistle. Aston Villa right-back was given a warning. Southampton get a free kick from the right side of the Aston Villa penalty box.

Bennett became the one who executed the free kick. As soon as the referee blew the whistle, Bennett kicked the ball. The ball slid over the player's wall and landed in the goalmouth. Simone shoot the ball firmly. But the Aston Villa goalkeeper slapped the ball off the field.

In the 27th minute, Simone managed to steal the ball from the feet of the Aston Villa midfielder. He then gave a long pass to the right side. Rustan and Aston Villa's left-back collided with speed. Then he dribbling the ball diagonally into the penalty box. Immediately after that Rustan sent the ball to the left side. Wright-Phillips broke into the penalty box and received the ball from Rustan.

After that Wright-Phillips provided a short pass into the middle. Kazuki greeted the pass with a powerful kick. Aston Villa goalkeeper failed to catch the ball. Southampton scored the first goal of this match.

In the 39th minute, Southampton's opportunity came. Freddy managed to snatch the ball from the left winger Aston Villa. He gave the ball to Rudolf. The Southampton midfielder received the ball from Freddy and dribbled it while the rest of the players started moving towards the Aston Villa defense.

Rudolf gave Kazuki a long pass. The Japanese player received the ball using his chest. He controlled the ball, he kicked the ball past the head of the Aston Villa defender who was behind him, at the same time, Kazuki turned and ran past the player.

Kazuki pushed the ball forward then gave a flat pass to the right. Rustan accelerated his run, he passed the left-back Aston Villa. Rustan changed his direction to a diagonal towards the middle of the penalty box.

Then, he curled a pass towards Wright-Phillips. The Southampton winger used his pace to receive the ball but just as he was about to kick the ball right-back Aston Villa made a tackle to block Wright-Phillips' shot.

The ball bounced to the left of the penalty box. The Aston Villa centre-back got the ball but Bennett and Kazuki pressed the defender to release the ball. He prefers to throw the ball out of the field.

Moments later, Southampton threw the ball into the field. The player who threw the ball was Benson. The Southampton left-back threw the ball to Simone. The captain passed the ball to Kazuki. Kante clung to Kazuki while was trying to steal the ball. Kazuki provided a through ball to Wright-Phillips.

Wright-Phillips tried to fool the Aston Villa right-back, unfortunately he failed. The Southampton winger didn't push himself past Aston Villa's right-back, he gave a pass back to Kazuki. Kazuki changed the direction of the ball to the right suddenly.

He then kicked the ball hard. The ball spun towards the top right corner of the Aston Villa goalpost. Aston Villa goalkeeper managed to block the ball with his hands. The ball bounced into the middle of the penalty box. Bennet swiftly grabbed the ball and kicked it towards the net.

Aston Villa goalkeeper could not hold Bennet's shot. Southampton's second goal was created after Bennet managed to use the ball rebound.. Southampton celebrated the goal with enthusiasm.
