Chapter 130: Chelsea

"Welcome to the 14th round of the English Premier League. Tonight SkySport presents a match between the two current leaders of the table, namely Southampton against Chelsea. So far Southampton have only suffered 1 defeat. They have beaten Manchester City, Tottenham and finally Liverpool. Meanwhile Chelsea have experienced one draw against Manchester City and one loss.

On the Southampton side, the number 9 player, Kazuki Kazeshima, has become a mainstay for The Saints. This player has scored 15 goals and assisted 4 in the Premier League this season. In addition there are also Ryan with 4 goals and 5 assists, Rustan 2 goals and 4 assists, and Joe Bennet 3 goals and 4 assists. These four young players contributed to creating a very strong Southampton.

Meanwhile Chelsea who just won their first UCL last season continued to chase Southampton from behind to compete in winning the premier league championship 2012/2013 season. This season Hazard was starting to stable and could become a mainstay for the Blues. In addition, Dusan Removic has also shown a fairly stable performance. Chelsea started the first half with a kick-off. Dusan and Hazard exchanged passes before sending the ball into the back line. Southampton didn't bother to pressing Chelsea, they let Chelsea controll the ball. Mourinho was a conservative coach at all times. Even though Chelsea won the UCL this season, he still used the bus parking strategy. Therefore, attacking aggressively will only had a bad effect.

Even so, Chelsea's attack was not something that can be underestimated. The fact that Hazard and Zelatta both had individual skills and good dribbling makes it difficult for any team to defend. Moreover, there was Dusan who was always looking for opportunities. Obviously, Chelsea's attack couldn't be ignored.

In the 6th minute, Orlando managed to steal the ball from Ramires. He then gave the ball to Bennett. Bennett received the ball but Oscar interrupted him. Lambert suddenly came and helped Oscar to get the ball. Chelsea managed to stop Southampton's attack. Now they started the counterattack.

Lambert passed the ball to Ramires. The player avoided Orlando's chasing and then provided a pass to Azpilicueta. Azpilicueta dashed forward. He helped Chelsea to attack. Azpilicueta sent the ball to Hazard. Hazard used his left foot to dribble the ball past Benson. He then entered the penalty box and provided a floating pass into the middle. Okhalo managed to head the ball off the field.

In the 10th minute, Rustan who was preparing to receive a pass from Bennet got a physical attacked from Ivano. Failing to control the ball, Ivano stuck his foot out and kicked the ball to Oscar. Oscar received the ball while avoiding Bennet. He then gave the bait to Lambert. Simone moved to guard Lambert, so he didn't have much space to move. Lambert crossed the ball to the left. Ivan appeared. He was followed by Rustan behind him. Ivano dribbled the ball forward. Then he gave the ball to Zelatta.

Zelatta received the ball and controlled it. He pushed the ball to the right then suddenly pulled it and it spun 180°. Zelatta managed to avoid Freddy and entered the penalty box. But he was intercepted by Hilton. The ball bounces off the field. Corner kick for Chelsea.

The opportunity earlier was dangerous enough that the other players immediately gave Hilton their thanks. Southampton managed to survive the Chelsea attack. On the other hand Zelatta took a corner. He did so by providing a short pass to Ivano. Freddy ran towards Ivano, but the Chelsea left-back returned the ball to Zelatta.

Zelatta ran on the boundary line. He confronted Rustan. Zelatta kicked the ball into the gap between Rustan's legs. He then forced himself to chase the ball but Southampton goalkeeper Dean Smith took the ball first.

Dean Smith caught the ball and signales the Southampton players to go forward. After that, he threw the ball forward. Simone received the ball with his chest, then controled the ball with his feet. Then, he turned around and ran using all his strength. Too bad the David Ruiz came and made a tackle to stop Simone.

In the 15th minute, Benson gave Simone a pass. The Southampton captain pushed the ball past Lambert then Bennett picked up the ball and returned it to Simone as the player stepped forward past Lambert. Simone then provided a through ball to the right. Rustan ran at speed with Ivano. However, he failed.

Rustan didn't push himself, he turned around and gave Freddy a pass. Freddy took the ball into halfspace. The space between the middle and the wing area. He then gave the ball to Orlando. Orlando, who rose to the front of the penalty box immediately gave a long-range shot. The ball went fast before being stopped by the palm of Peter Krech. Kazuki dashed towards the rebounding ball. Then he kicked it towards the net. Cole jumped up and headed Kazuki's kick off the field.

Kazuki was seen holding his head. He didn't expect Cole to reactively hold him back. After a while he sighed. There were still many opportunities that might be created. Southampton was still not behind.

Corner kick taken by Bennett. He stood in front of the ball and looked at the crowd in the Chelsea penalty area. After taking a deep breath, he ran slowly then kicked the ball firmly forward. The ball floated in the air and then spins towards the goalmouth. Kazuki jumped ready to receive the ball but Peter Krech ran and punched the ball forward.

Ramires received the ball. Then he gave Azpilicueta a pass. The Chelsea right-back brought the ball quickly into the Southampton defense area. Simone ran to the left he then did a body charge to push Azpilicueta off the field. Azpilicueta was pushed out but the ball was passed to Hazard.

Hazard carries the ball quickly. He ran diagonally into the penalty box. Then he released a pass into the middle of the penalty box. Dusan Removic stretched his legs and bounced the ball towards the net.. But the ball was right at Dean Smith, so the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball well.
